I've been going to the Van Vorst dog park for ten years now. I know all the dog walkers since I've…read morealways had weekdays off. John Amato is the most beloved dog walker in town. He truly loves each dog as if they were his own. He adores the dogs and they adore him. This you know when he enters the park and the lick fest begins! The dogs are crazy about John. This I can attest to from what I've witnessed over the years. I've never needed a dog walker until recently, but there was no question in my mind who my choice would be. There is only one person I know, without a doubt in my mind, that would treat my dog like his own. With my new job, I can rest easy knowing my dog is not just well cared for, but loved and adored while I'm away. John offers me peace of mind that money can't buy.

I was very happy with the service overall for 2 months... then overnight, the dog walker who was…read moretaking care of my dog got fired (she told me she got fired at 11.30 in the evening over a rough conversation with the owner!). I was notified the next morning by text message by the dog walker, and tried all morning to email and call the owner to understand what was going on. Since my dog gets her daily walk around 2 pm, I had to let the dog walker, who still had my keys, take care of the walk for that day anyway. When I managed to reach the owner (yes, I had to call back, he would not return my call or email), he could not give me a good reason to fire the walker, and just said he was sorry but he had no other person to take care of my dog in my neighborhood. I was very deceived for this lack of service - he did not even offer to find an arrangement for the rest of the week (this happened a Tuesday). The only thing I am happy for is that I managed to find another company to walk my dog daily and hope they turn out to be more reliable and/or have a plan B in case something like this happens, which obviously is not a concern at Doggie's Playmate :(

Kenny came over to meet me before my mom left me in his care. He was very, very nice and spent a long time with my mom making sure that he understood everything I needed. He spent quite a while getting to know me, which made me feel a lot more comfortable when he came to visit me! He was fun when he came over, he gave me fresh water and food and made sure I had my toys:) And most importantly, he gave me lots of love and attention and turned on the A/C To cool down the apartment.. Jenny also sent pictures of me to my mom letting me know how happy and well cared for I was. So she didn't worry about me.. I know it was a big relief to her, getting Kenny's pictures of me knowing that I was safe and happy because she is always hesitant to leave me by myself, she doesn't like me to be lonely. I really hope the next time my mom goes away she has Kenny come over to take care of me:) Kenny is coooollll! Sincerely, Phineas Henry Charles Albert David

Hello people looking for uncles to watch your pooches! My name is Ned, and I am both French and a…read morebulldog. I wanted to write today to tell you about my Uncle Kenny, who is more of a best friend, really. My mom and dad hired Uncle Kenny when one of my old friends (note: NOT a bestie) had to move away and couldn't stop by anymore. He came over one night to meet me, explain his ground rules, make sure my parents wouldn't be terrible clients, and check out if I'd be agreeable (I am very much a scamp) and fit into his availability. He was very straightforward about expectations on both sides and how seriously he takes the responsibility of my being in his care, and luckily for me, they hit it off right from the beginning. He's been the Milo to my Otis ever since. Uncle Kenny comes over every weekday (and sometimes feeds my kitty brothers if my parents take me on a trip), and we go hunting for food scraps outside, even though he never lets me have them. He makes sure I get my exercise, even if it's raining (and I HATE the rain), and that I've got plenty to drink and play with (and maybe a carrot? please?), and he's got a little book in which he tells my daily story. Because I'm interesting and I do stuff (#1 AND #2 sometimes). He also knows me so well that he's the first to let my parents know if I'm run down or if I poo funny, and that I might need to visit my favorite place (I love the vet!). Basically, he's got my back, and I have his. So while I hate to share him, Uncle Kenny is the way to go if you're looking for someone you can trust who will be reliable and actually care about your furry best friend child. I'm more than a job to him. We're buds like that. Love, Ned
