Pharaoh a 9 lb Maltese with one of the worst cases of separation anxiety I have seen in years. He was leash reactive and could not be trained to even sit. The owner sent her dog to this man for a 30 day board and train. When the dog was returned after the B&T he still could not sit, knew not one command, was still leash reactive and separation anxiety was worse, He couldn't even get the poor guy to be in a crate for a short period. He sent the owner pictures of him allowing Pharaoh to sleep in his bed with him and his girlfriend confusing the status of the dog even more. He's a dog with real problems and the jerk took Pharaoh's mom's money and did nothing. Couldn't even sit Now he can do sit, whoa, heel, down, kennel, spin into heel while retrieving and retrieve dropped object like reading glasses. Pharaoh is not leash reactive anymore and Separation anxiety is in remission. If it is not bad enough that he took her money the worst thing he did was make matter worse by saying he had the knowledge to train a dog which its clear he is incompetent and not looking out for whats best. Please stop saying you can help dogs when its clear you are a scam artist. Taylor & Dina are incredible. We have a shelter pup that we adopted overseas and moved with to NY in early 2011. She is wonderful but suffers from terrible separation anxiety and had a host of problems adjusting to her new life. Plain and simple, Taylor is the man! The best part of the training is he is actually training you! His training has helped both my girlfriend and I to be clear and consistent when communicating with our 7 month old French bulldog. After working with Taylor our Frenchie has been able to stay focused on walks, not jump on everyone who walks by, and prove the sit with all the distractions a busy Brooklyn street can provide and not move a muscle (among other things). The best of all has been the bar training. If you're anything like me, this is the most important part of your dogs training. Taylor has helped us desensitize our Frenchie to drunken guys, girls who want to pet him all the time and other dogs at our local dog friendly bar. Now we can drink without the guilt of leaving our dog alone! Taylor has a real gift with dogs, and his training techniques were life-changing for us and our rescue chihuahua. When we first adopted our chihuahua, he was malnourished, sickly, and very afraid. We think he had been abused in his prior home. His first instinct upon being startled was to bite anything around him - the air, his owner's hand, whatever was in his way. After our first training session, we learned how to set our dog at ease by showing him that we were in charge, and that he was safe with us. We recently turned to Taylor as a last resort for some help with our 80 pound 2 year old OLde English Bully. Henry was so uncontrolable for me at 120 lbs,that I could not walk him or keep him away from terrified visitors to our home.I was recommended to Taylor and am happy to report that I am now able to walk my dog and that he is actually listening to me. My experiences working with Taylor at The Confident Dog have been second to none. He was very attentive to our concerns and explained not only how he would tackle the issues, but why they were occurring. With this understanding, we were able to correct our own repeated bad habits with what we thought was the correct method of training. We have had both at home training and also boarded with him for more one-on-one care. Taylor and Dina did wonders for my Bulldog/Pit bull terrier mix! They really know how to train your dog and you on proper behaviors and techniques. I adopted my dog 5 months ago, and she was all over the place! She had never walked on a leash, been friendly with dogs or knew how to act properly around other people. We turned to Taylor when we decided that we wanted to train our 5-year old dog and quickly found out that you CAN teach an old dog new tricks--if you have someone like Taylor helping you! My experience with Taylor has been really incredible. As with most dog training, much of the success comes from giving the owner the tools to be able to manage the dog, and Taylor has provided me with those tools. I was having an incredibly difficult (nearly impossible) time walking my two year old Am-Staff mix. After one session with Taylor I was able to walk my dog comfortably. Since then I've used all the skills Taylor has given me to make my relationship with my dog a healthy and positive one. Other sessions have included group walks (another trouble spot).
