The entire team at Brooklyn Pup is amazing! We just finished the Puppy Kindergarten class and we had so much fun and learned a lot. Our Pomeranian, Bowie, was so excited to see all his furry friends and Anna and MK each week . They provided amazing resources and an opportunity every session to ask all of our questions. Before starting the class, we had 1:1 training when Bowie was 3 months old with Mary and Danny and from the moment they walked in we knew we made the right choice - it was evident that they genuinely care about both the dogs and their owners. Mary, Danny, Anna, and MK are incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and dedicated to helping every dog (and owner) reach their full potential. Bowie is such a happy, easy going, well-behaved pup and we owe so much of that to Brooklyn Pup!

Sari is an incredibly knowledgable dog trainer who gave us great tips on how to train and socialize our puppy Larry during the pandemic. I was initially skeptical of the usefullness of a virtual class, but Sari really helped us lay the foundation for Larry to be a great member of our family. Definitely recommend!

Brooklyn Pup is the best choice possible for adjusting both you and your puppy to your new life together in the city. Sari created an open forum for all of the owners to swap stories and learn from one another which was extremely valuable. Each week I left more and more comfortable and confident in my ability to train Hank and get through some of the hurdles and specific challenges that come with raising a puppy in the city. By the end of our 4 sessions, he knew look, touch, sit, shake, leash walking and was well on the way to being housebroken! I looked forward to every Saturday class each week and noticing the changes and developing skills in Hank was beyond gratifying. Can't recommend this group of trainers enough!

Sari and the other trainers were very sportive and attentive to our new dog Aspen. We had a great experience and would highly recommend.

We're also learning so much as new puppy parents since Angela takes the time to explain what she's doing and how we can continue practicing on our own. We live in NYC, and she's been a huge help in getting us and Rambo comfortable with city life before he's fully vaccinated. Angela is extremely knowledgeable, communicative, and always on time. She's also there for us whenever we have questions outside of our sessions, which we really appreciate. She customizes her approach to Rambo's personality and our lifestyle instead of using a one size fits all method. Angela is a pleasure to work with, and we look forward to continuing our training journey with her. We can't recommend her enough!

We are so grateful for everything they have taught us and only wish we had started sooner. We cannot recommend them highly enough!

I spent 1.5 hours in the pouring rain w Anthony as we walked Benny into the field, where he was off-leash and learning how to follow, and also enjoying his time socializing with dogs. Anthony impressed upon me how important social play is for dogs to PURGE THE ENERGY out. Not going to lie, i LOVE to walk with dogs, and sitting around while THEY play was not my thing. LOL. WORLD OF A DIFFERENCE it has made. Benny is a great walker now (not pulling 90% of the time). He knows how to act when other dogs walk by us as he is rewarded to meet them after behaving! He's doing so well. Still a little touchy on the running toddlers and guarding, but I am confident we'll get there thanks for Anthony's guidance! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM, especially for new pups and rescue dogs!

When he was approached by new people he would aggressively bark and growl. I had worked with another dog trainer for over a year -- his problems just became worse. I became reluctant to do things with Gus because I was fearful he would growl/bark/act inappropriately when meeting new people. I was at my wits end and I consulted with a well respected training program here in NYC that said he was a "moderate to severe case" and would need multiple weeks of boarding training + years of follow up training to address his issues. Anthony solved Gus's problems in 1 session. Yes, 1 session... Within seconds of meeting him, Anthony just "got" Gus. His advice and feedback was completely different from the feedback I got from the other trainers and Gus responded immediately. I am not exaggerating when I say that Gus has not growled or barked at a single stranger since working with Anthony. I have been able to do so much with Gus and he seems so much calmer, happier and more confident than he was before. I only wish I had reached out to Anthony a year and a half ago. TL;DR- Don't waste your time or money with other trainers. Call Anthony today. You will be glad you did.

If you have dog problems - Twahlee is your guy! I was at my…read morewits end with my adopted chow chow, Taz. He was friendly to everyone when we first brought him home, but within a month or so he became aggressive and bit 8 people without being provoked. I hired 2 different trainers, both of which were bitten by Taz and recommended getting a sedative/relaxant prescription from the vet in order to train him. I couldn't get his attention and he was all over the place on walks, doing whatever he pleased. I was distressed at the thought of not being able to train him and having to send him back to the shelter. Then we started working with Twahlee and we finally saw changes in Taz's behavior. He is a great teacher, very patient and breaks down all the intricacies of dog training into small and manageable steps for the everyday person. Anytime we had a new issue, he always was able to give us a reason why it was happening and specific steps we could take to fix it. He has a great understanding of behavioral problems with dogs and a good system to change and manage those problems. I'm proud to say after a year and 10 classes training with Twahlee, Taz is now a good little boy! He's able to be off leash in the park, he can walk near people and other dogs without reacting, and he has excellent obedience. The training really changed mine and Taz's life - it could have ended very differently for Taz if we didn't get help from Twahlee.

I bought a package for my then-11-yr-old Puli, who I'd recently brought to NY after spending the majority of her life living with my mom in Florida. My dog is quite anxious and barks a lot, and struggled with the transition from living with one person to 8 overnight. I sought Twahlee's help in correcting my dog's anxious tendencies because at this stage of her life, the proper training techniques Twahlee has to offer would have been extremely difficult to implement. He helped give me an array of tools to help teach my dog stronger obedience, which would then lead to greater control over my dog. About 2 years later, I moved into a new home with a housemate who has a dog that can be aggressive with other dogs. Because I hadn't used my entire package, I asked Twahlee if there was a chance he could come by and apply one of my pre-paid classes to visit our home and assess how the two dogs exist in the home. He let me know that packages expire after one year, but that he would come anyway, because ultimately he just wants to help others. This was highly generous of him to do, and I'm extremely grateful for his flexibility. At the end of the day, choosing to work with a trainer is less so to train your dog than to train yourself on how to better manage your pet, and Twahlee did a great educating me on areas I could be doing better. His help and kindness over the last few years has been greatly appreciated, and I can say with great confidence he can make a meaningful difference in every dog and trainer's life.

She was instantly in tune with our dog but _also_ really great as a collaborator with us humans, as we worked through our dog's issues with leash reactivity. Renee was very informative and extremely helpful with the situation. We did a private session where she showed me various methods that have proven very effective in helping him with his issues. I also signed up for two leash aggression group sessions, so I could see how he did with other dogs in the class. Renee explained to us how important it was to get the training method right and be consistent for as long as it takes. Zig is doing much better. He has his moments, but many times it's because I didn't catch and correct the behavior in time and I know we are still at the beginning of our little journey. I am confident in Renee's advice because I've seen it work and I know that eventually, with time, Ziggy will be as confident as I am. My favorite thing about working with Renee is that it is obvious she knows and understands dogs and she shares her knowledge in a very unique, funny manner. It's also obvious that she cares. After both the private session and the group sessions, Renee was wonderfully responsive to emails/questions, always inquired about Ziggy's progress and offered additional suggestions if certain things didn't seem to be working. Ziggy and I are both thankful we found her and will definitely be in touch with her for some of the other doggie classes she offers!!!
