Tyrisha Monroe assisted me (5-stars!). Each time I called in, I spoke with Tyrisha. She was extremely courteous, understanding, and helpful. She immediately scheduled a more experienced technician to my case. Within a few hours, Reggie was at my door (5-stars++!). Reginald Morton has serviced our furnace in the past. He is extremely professional, wise in his trade, and a genuinely nice man whom I gladly welcome into my home. Reggie worked hard, trouble shot the issue, explained everything to me, then made sure the entire space was nice and clean before he left. I have always been impressed with Reggie's quality of work and kind demeanor. Beware: Overpriced, Misleading, and Unhelpful…read more I called A&F Plumbing for a $59 service visit to find out why my water heater was not heating -- seemed reasonable. The tech was polite. That's where the positives ended. He relit the pilot light and THEN told me it was $250 just to relight the pilot light -- something most plumbers include in the basic fee. After paying that ridiculous charge, my water still never got hot. He didn't check, wait to see - - just said he relit it. He did make sure he had a sales pitch though. Without fully diagnosing the problem, he jumped straight to recommending a $875 burner assembly or a $5,250 replacement water heater, (complete with estimates) claiming mine was 11 years old, but my house is only 9 years old. Either the math was off, or they were hoping I wouldn't question it. I paid $250 for nothing -- no fix, no follow-up, just out the window, whoever recommended them should be ashamed of themselves. Definitely a bait-and-switch. If you're looking for real solutions and honest pricing, I strongly suggest calling someone else.

Jeff Apperson came out and said he was on his way somewhere else but would come back out and pull up the carpet, turn off the water supply from the front yard cut-off, and wait several hours to see if it dried up to prove a source of the leak. He then asked for a deposit of half of a projected $7,00 bill in case he had to buy copper and replace the waterline. He instead planned the replacement and bought copper and never pulled up the carpet to test for the source of the leak. Two weeks later when he finally did pull up the carpet he immediately saw that source of the leak was flowing from elsewhere. After the leak was fixed and a new sink and toilet installed they then grossly inflated their bill In in order to keep all our deposit money including 10 phantom Master Plumber hours. In fact, he left an unlicensed plumber alone on the job to do the work. He owes us more than $1,000 and we are suing in small claims court to get back our money.

Finish work, overall a joke! Painted everything in semi-gloss, didn't fix or prep the walls at all, then sent a drywall guy, "Willets" to spread mud over spots over a month ago and never returned. Laundry Center, both dryers vent into the same pipe and this causes moisture to build in the dryer and shorted it out. Pantry, no insulated properly, food gets too cold or hot, Electrical, absolutely no forethought went into this. The only plug in the entire hall/garage entrance is one in the of the pantry. Tile, there are at least 4-8 tiles that have popped, already, and several others you can hear the hollow so it's just a matter of time. Fixed to date: So far the following had to be fixed, Barn Door bathroom, completely rehung Pantry, bedroom closet and laundry area all had wood shelving installed, not the wire Jeff put in the pantry. New toilet in master bath, no wax seal was ever installed. All in all the quality of the work that was done was substandard at best. The first visit didn't clear the clog, but the next day another technician came out and patiently explained everything. Both were courteous, on time, and really knew their stuff. And while Yelp loves photos, trust me -- nobody wants to see what was blocking my drain. That's a whole different genre. Bottom line: Boothe's brings personality and professionalism to plumbing.
