Unfortunately I was recently forced to find a new primary care physician because my insurance does not accept her as a provider anymore. I would definitely recommed Dr. Smith as a family doctor. She's great. She always spent a lot of time talking with me about my concerns, treated me with the utmost respect and has good social skills. I've heard from other people as well that have Dr. Smith as their pcp and they think she's a great doctor too. I arrived 1 or 2 minutes late and front staff had already gone to see if the " new" Dr. Davis would still see me. By the way the front office staff is the absolute best as far as caring, informative, friendly and all around absolute " dears"!!! I was told I had to reschedule!! I know patients being on time is important but in 38 years of practicing myself, I have NEVER told a patient to reschedule at 2 minutes late! As a matter of fact from a professional courtesy point of view, the staff should have never had to ask " if" I could still be seen. To each their own. . I have an appointment in 4 days and will consider whether to remain a patient at Family Care at Arbor Walk to honor the huge success Dr. Paula Davis (and Dr. Britton- Meilisch ) are now having.I also live in Overland Park so quite a drive to see a " great" doc Dr. Paula was ( she would have never told me to reschedule ) I thoroughly understand " running on time" and respecting appointment times plus the staff and patients'time and lastly " office policies" BUT 2 minutes late!!@*#!@!! From what I…read morehave personally heard, experienced and witnessed, Sam the office manager (who has no last name) is completely unethical and could care less about the patient or their family. In congress with an NPRN Robin Campbell, Sam, and Dr. Michael Bahl made the decision to force my husband to stop a dangerous drug cold-turkey. This is a drug which requires weaning off, not to be stopped suddenly. This has caused MAJOR issues with him physically and in our family. NONE OF THESE "medical professionals" care AT ALL! They are completely happy with the HARM they have caused him and my family. As I have been in the healthcare industry for over 35 years, I am SHOCKED at their behavior! Because it has been so egregious, we are taking this to our attorney and to the Missouri professional licensing and registration board. For this MEDICAL office to HARM patients in the way they have, a LEGAL response is now necessary.

I am not one for negative reviews and it appears mine will be one of few, as I've read a lot of the positive reviews, but I feel it's very important as it was the positive review that lead me to this doctor's office. I was new to the area and there were so many good reviews and I could actually get a timely appointment, so I decided this office was my new primary. The first visit was fine and I liked them enough. I was just there for a physical. Fast forward 8 months and I've found myself with some symptoms of a cold. I don't feel bad, but I though it was best to be seen before going back into my office or anything got worse. They were able to get me in and the sweet front desk gal was SO very nice to me. She was the highlight of my appointment. After that, the nurse came in and treated me as though I'd completely inconvenienced her for getting sick. As if I didn't feel bad enough for not being able to come into my office for work and crowding an already busy healthcare system (despite the fact that I didn't see another soul there, I know in general our healthcare workers are very tired) and then finally, being sick... she even took it as far as rolling her eyes at me for clarifying my symptoms when she misspoke. I am not a rude person and am very mild mannered to strangers, so I chalked it up to she was just having a bad day. Enter Jessie Krueger with my results that I was sick. Again, I am now feeling very puny, not due to my sickness, but with how I've been treated to this point, she rips into me, grilling me as to why I've made the choice not to be v@ccinated. Reminder: this woman has a very very brief view of my health and immediately coined my political views based on my v@ccination status. She did realize she came at me a little too much after I was clearly stumbling for words and she apologized. She then readdressed her question in a more appropriate and professional manner and clarified that she wanted to genuinely know why I chose not to received a very new sh0t. I could then feel comfortable sharing with her my medical reasons why I made the right choice for me and she walked me out. I had to ask her what OTC medicine I would be taking to help and even ask why vitamins I should take to help boost my immune system. I had a good idea what I should take, but wanted was surprised I was offered no information except to stay at home until I was feeling better. It makes me very sad that it was more important to her to grill me on why I wasn't v@ccinated instead of helping me feel better. I had to dig to get information to help alleviate my symptoms I was so bewildered to have been grilled in that manner by a medical professional and will certainly not be returning. I sure hope this review will save others from such a disheartening experience with the medical care system that is set in place to help the sick.
