Dr. William Andrews became my endocrinologist several years ago when I was admitted to Centerpoint for diagnosis of the cause of and treatment for my tachycardia and atrial fibrillation. He was very patient and thorough in his explanations, and during my semi-annual exams he asks numerous questions about my health, and really listens to my answers, and he always answers all my questions. I always feel comfortable talking to him, and am confident in his diagnoses and treatments. I never feel like he is rushing me through. It makes the wait to see him worth it! read more

The absolute worse doctor ive been too. (gillbanks) At first i thought oh shes just straight to the point. As time went on and i continued going to her i felt she wanted to get it over with and rushed and never went over anything important. I realized this after i went to my new doctor and she took me off a lot unnecessary medicines i was on. Especially one medicine if i kept taking i wouldve had severe kidney problems. The only good doctor/nurse there is sandy. The nurses and back receptionist were also very rude and seemed to hate their jobs. Gillbanks personal nurse always no matter what had an attitude. My last appointment there was the last straw and they emailed me a survey and i gave them bad reviews. They called my mom the next day (which they never did) and said she needs to make an appointment now! She didnt trust her own nurse practioner to perscribe anti anxiety medicines which by the way arent even strong enough. She denied me that when i suffer from extreme anxiety. It takes a lot for me to ask for that type of medicine and when she denied me for NO REASON, i felt extremely alone and judged. They just dont want bad reviews, so here i am saying how i felt (which was extremely judged and so did my mom). Just avoid. read more

I saw the same doctor in this practice for 9 years. She was fantastic! And when I couldn't get in to see her for urgent issues, the nurse practitioner was wonderful. It's a great clinic. Unfortunately, my wonderful doctor retired a few months ago and the clinic would not allow patients to see other doctors within the practice. It's understandable that the other doctors in the clinic would have a hard time absorbing 1100 patients from a retiring doctor. When you see the same doctor for 9 years, you want to really do your research in finding a new one. So I have spent the past few months looking for another doctor. Just before she retired, she updated my prescription info in my file. My scripts from my visit last year have expired and I attempted to refill my Rx's knowing that I had information in my file that was less than 6 months old. When the pharmacy informed me that the doctor's office would not refill my prescription, I called the dr's office to find out why when the information in my file was less than 6 months old and that I'm still trying to find a new doctor. I asked if someone could confirm for the pharmacy that the Rx information is recent so my prescriptions could be refilled. I was told no doctor in the clinic would do that. I asked if I could make an appointment with the nurse practitioner, Sandy McCormack, since I had seen her before. Again, I was told no. Because Dr Andes is no longer a doctor in the practice, I can no longer be a patient. As great as this clinic has been, I'm disgusted at the treatment given to Dr Andes' patients since she has retired. I would recommend this clinic to anyone, I really would. I have never had a clinic tell me that since a doctor is no longer with the practice that I can't be a patient. I was told by the appointment desk that I would have to go to an urgent care clinic to get my blood pressure meds refilled. It's not like I was looking to score opioids for heaven's sake! I'd give this clinic 5 stars if it wasn't for the whole policy of tossing patients out and not even giving them options. At the very least, I should be able to see the nurse practitioner to get my blood pressure meds authorized for a month or so until I get into a different doctor in a different practice since I'm not allowed to continue patronizing Centerpoint Physician's Group. I only wish I could stay with them. They were good. read more
