Yes, spending any money on fireworks is like "literally setting your money on fire," but I would submit that when given the opportunity to set off explosions and blow things up, and not only is it considered a non-jail-able offense, but rather "patriotic", then there's just about nothing more entertaining to do with your money! This is Black Cat domain, which happens to be my weapon(s) of choice! Great quality, reliability, and an impressive show are all trademarks of the brand. What really sets this apart from other explosive stops are the wonderful folks staffing the tent, the ample, graveled parking, the sheer size and selection of the stand, and, of course, competitive prices!

The good: Food trucks and beer tents Interactive conservation tents for children to learn about the park Plenty of blow-up bounce houses for children 2 concert stages Wonderful firework display Great location right off the water and good advertisment of Berkley Park Only $5 to attend Plenty of parking, had shuttle buses, and walking distance for some. The bad: Need more options for food because lines were an hour wait Some beer tents ran out of cups to serve the beer They need more that 1 ATM if everything is cash only (it broke down half way into the night) Overall I think the good out weights the bad. I had a blast listening to the music while standing in line and watching fireworks. Make sure to bring a blanket or a chair because the firework display was great!

Celebration at the Station was the perfect way to spend Memorial Day 2013. I got there super early…read more(3 PM ish) and was able to find parking along the street right next to the event. (About an hour later, parking was nearly impossible). A friend hooked me up with free tickets to the WWI Museum and the Liberty Memorial so I roamed around there for awhile. This event was FREE which is always a huge perk! All of KC's best food trucks were parked in front of Union Station to supply us with awesome dinner and drinks. Practically all of Kansas City was at this event; it was so much fun to people watch and enjoy the company of such a great city. I saw SO many people I knew from very aspect of my life. The entire expansion of the Liberty Memorial hill area was full of blankets, and picnics, and families. You got the opportunity to sprawl out on the grass with thousands of people and listen to a free symphony concert. Once it became dark outside, the beautiful fireworks started. The perfect way to spend Memorial Day; a must for anyone living in Kansas City.

We heard about an awesome fireworks store called, Big Gator Fireworks, in Drexel, Missouri. So…read moreyesterday we drove an hour to check it out. It was Great! The store was easy to find. They had great signage from the highway to easily guide you there. It was in a nice area and they had ample parking. We were greeted at the front door by a very friendly young man who made us feel immediately welcome. The showroom was brand-new yet the family has been in business there for many years! Their wonderfull air-conditioned store was clean and modern yet had a very cozy, family business feel! They had 3 different sizes of shopping carts, including little carts for the kiddos! We looked around, then asked a helpful employee about an item we were interested in. He took us over to one of their big TVs. He scanned our item and on the TV screen, he showed us what that item will look like. Very cool! We wandered around some more, amazed at the unique and fun stuff they had. My husband was very happy with their huge selection and picked several of the larger fireworks while I walked thru the fun novelty section-So many awesome things!! They had the biggest variety of cool & affordable fireworks that we had ever seen! Their prices were better than other stores and we live near Odessa where there are several full-time fireworks stores. I told them it was the BEST fireworks store we had ever been to!
