Since moving to KC in the mid 00's, we've been going to Crazy Joe's to scratch our annual fireworks itch! Yes, spending any money on fireworks is like "literally setting your money on fire," but I would submit that when given the opportunity to set off explosions and blow things up, and not only is it considered a non-jail-able offense, but rather "patriotic", then there's just about nothing more entertaining to do with your money! This is Black Cat domain, which happens to be my weapon(s) of choice! Great quality, reliability, and an impressive show are all trademarks of the brand. What really sets this apart from other explosive stops are the wonderful folks staffing the tent, the ample, graveled parking, the sheer size and selection of the stand, and, of course, competitive prices!

I can't tell you how much I appreciate how they don't put up this fake sale façade. They give you an affordable and fair price, without lying to you about saving money! They are a great tent to get novelty and little kid items too. They've had smoke bombs of all sorts every time that I've gone there. Great tent, will go again, would recommend.

Updating last year's review to say this spot is slowly becoming a traditional for my girls and I…read more We went a few days before the 4th and they're so nice here. One guy even gave them some smoke bombs and a giant parachute on the house. Ok now for the nuts and bolts: When I was a teenager, I went nuts for fireworks. We'd stop on the way to the Lake of the Ozarks and just blow through money to put on a show for the family. Times changed and honestly I lost all interest... until my neighbors invited us over to play with their kids and some smaller fireworks last year. We determined we had to get at least some this year, and this was the highest rated spot on Yelp. It delivered! We weren't looking for much as I have two young kids; smoke bombs, parachutes, poppers, sparklers, and my oldest really wanted those flaming hens that lay eggs. We were in luck on a humid summer night before the 4th, finding everything we needed. I can't say the value was there.. these kind of tents are notorious for being overly inflated, even in more normal times. However, we don't do this often so whatever, we're paying for some fun entertainment for a night or two. Staff was very friendly, complimenting my daughter's dress and chatting her up. The look on my kiddo's face made it worth parting with $50-100, and I'd probably go the extra few miles out of the way to return next year.

They had great signage from the highway to easily guide you there. It was in a nice area and they had ample parking. We were greeted at the front door by a very friendly young man who made us feel immediately welcome. The showroom was brand-new yet the family has been in business there for many years! Their wonderfull air-conditioned store was clean and modern yet had a very cozy, family business feel! They had 3 different sizes of shopping carts, including little carts for the kiddos! We looked around, then asked a helpful employee about an item we were interested in. He took us over to one of their big TVs. He scanned our item and on the TV screen, he showed us what that item will look like. Very cool! We wandered around some more, amazed at the unique and fun stuff they had. My husband was very happy with their huge selection and picked several of the larger fireworks while I walked thru the fun novelty section-So many awesome things!! They had the biggest variety of cool & affordable fireworks that we had ever seen! Their prices were better than other stores and we live near Odessa where there are several full-time fireworks stores. I told them it was the BEST fireworks store we had ever been to! We got a GREAT DEAL and left quite happy! They had something for everyone and for all budgets. Check them out. You'll be very glad you did! :)
