Usually if you go to a thrift store, the toy area is trashed from the kids playing with the toys. But they had the toys higher up on shelves and bagged with the pieces that go with the toys. So they actually had a better selection of toys because all the pieces are most pieces were intact. I ended up buying some toys there for my grandson and also some books. Their prices were good compared to other thrift stores. I did not look at the clothing prices which tend to be ridiculous at most thrift stores. We did not have to wait long at all to check out and the woman was friendly. I have been to the other Blessings Abound thrift store in Overland Park, but not this one. I would recommend it to anyone living in this area.

They consistently have good and fun items. I've left with a huge cart full several times. My only issue is that it can get packed in there at times. There's often not enough carts nor enough dressing rooms when it's really busy. It's still not bad but I wish they'd work on getting some more carts donated and maybe find some space for a few more dressing rooms. They are raising money for charity and the people who are working there I believe are mostly volunteers so I don't want to complain too much. I'm sure if I'm overwhelmed by how busy it is, the volunteers and employees must be. I like to drop off things here and there to donate to them as well. That's an easy process here. I'm going to try to snap some photos on my next visit but considering it's a thrift store, it stays pretty clean and fairly well organized even on busy Saturdays and sale days.

They are friendly and serve a good cause by the selling of their merchandise. But I think the location is too large for the amount of merchandise that they have now. It seemed more empty when we walked inside. They're well organized, but the merchandise seemed more outdated whereas some thrift stores have a little bit better quality. Some prices were fine, but then some of the clothing I felt like was overpriced. We ended up buying a little bag of toys that were four dollars, which were reasonable for what was in it and my husband bought two books. I think if they get more merchandise to fill out the space then it won't look so sparse. I feel like they should've stayed in the other space they had.

No. I'll never visit…read morethis place again. "Come for the deals!" There are scant deals. Maybe I'm mistaken, but pricing wasn't much more than retail sales. I believe everything in here comes from Dick's Sporting Goods, but Dick's isn't known for great pricing. I haven't been there in a hundred years it feels like, and the last time I was in one I left - per usual - empty handed. Hardest part of retail is getting the customer through the door. GOTTA CONVERT! Not me. Never convert me. Gotta have those deals on deals on deals... Maybe I'm cheap? Maybe I'm smart? Whatever. My wife got a pair of shorts, Columbia, for $8. We also got some Chief's gear for $7. But it's mostly a sad Nordstrom Rack. 80% of this place is clothes, the other 15% is Shoes...and the remaining 5% is sporting junk. It reminded me of Sears Outlet, or any of those sad places you shop when you were tiny and poor: Flourescent lighting; Too much floor; HOSPITAL TILES; Carpet stolen from 1988 Macy's. I don't know, felt like a really nice thrift store. I hated it. Put up better signs, clearly convert me on the true price of things, maybe label each thing. I saw full retail tags everywhere and just left. My wife thought there might have been 8x11 paper tags on the end of isles, but the kids running this place could honestly care less, so there's that. I don't know where those words came from but it wasn't enjoyable. 5 years later to today... I didn't detect that odor. It was well lit. The idles were clear to push a cart. This is NOT and upscale/antique goldmine. It is a place that you might find something you didn't expect... as all thrift shops are. Prices? Generally high/very high on clothes. I go thru there books and oddities and baskets. This is what I don't find in most thrift shops- friendly people. The ladies at the register actually are really nice and can be very helpful about items inside the store. This store raises money for special needs programs. Donating here isn't fun but I like supporting companies who really help others. Don't expect a Thank You when donating. Just know that if rough times happen - it is stores like this that help. So if you are in the area, consider donating here. It's worth a quick 10 min stroll. Oh, if you spend $15 (I think), you can get a free item.. so I get a stuffed animal for my dog to chew on.
