I called several times and nobody picked up the phone. Their General Manager followed up later and would not offer a refund "as their website states that they require 24 hour notice for bookings." But why make the option available for last minute bookings, especially if it will take up to 3 hours for me to hear back and have this much of a time impact on me as a customer? I ended up using WeWork and had a great experience. WeWork has better tech and reliable customer service. Not only do they pick up the phone, but I received a complimentary first visit private office there from their manager too. They were easily able to accommodate me at the last minute.

I came here for a meeting and thought it was gorgeous. I fell in love with the nature vibes, the mossy walls, and the sunshine. The bathrooms were so pretty and even had diffusers in them. The kitchen is fully equipped with Stumptown coffee, milk, sugar, honey, seasoning, a fridge, an oven, and more. It's like a first-class hostel, and feels very calm and communal. The communication was unprofessional, the process was disorganized, and overall it was one of the worst experiences I've had working with an event space. I would recommend getting everything in writing and being extremely careful before making any payments. Unfortunately, this was a very frustrating experience and not one I would repeat or recommend to others. The owner was horrible to work with and came across very rude in multiple interactions, which made the situation even more frustrating.

It was 55 days before the auto renewal was supposed to start. So they charged us $1,300 and the auto renewal isn't set to start for 3 more weeks. We are a small business and they refuse to do a pro-rated refund or anything for our upcoming year renewal that hasn't even started yet. All for a virtual office space.

Other highlights: coffee, water, tea, cereal, and light snacks are also included. There's also 4 monthly community events offered as well. Nothing but good things to say. Would definitely be back if in the area again.

Disappointing experience with The Farm Soho. My concern was not with having policies or…read moreexpectations, it was with the lack of clear, written guidance and how the situation was handled. I contacted Ray and later Samuel Poku regarding a policy issue and requested a copy or reference to the specific written policy being applied. Instead of providing the requested policy language, I was told that a separate detailed policy was not required and that the general rule applied. If a coworking space is going to issue warnings or threaten to terminate a member's access, the standards being enforced should be clearly defined and available in writing. Additionally, when a space advertises 24/7 access, using the amount of time a member spends in the workspace as a point of concern creates confusion unless there are clearly stated limits or guidelines. The back-and-forth communication took significant time away from the purpose of having a workspace. I ultimately decided the membership was not the right fit for my needs and canceled. I would expect a professional coworking space to provide clear policies, transparent communication, and consistent expectations for its members.

I couldn't get into my 12:30pm reserved room until close to 1pm because there was no one at the front desk. One of the other renters came out of his room and I was able to ask him how to get in. He said that no one is ever at the front desk on the weekend and that I had to call someone to get into the room. (He called the owner for me.) I was never informed about this prior to my reservation date/time and I was never given the phone number to call. None of the phone numbers listed at the front desk worked. If that other renter had not been there, I would not have been able to see my paying clients. It was a very disappointing experience. None of the numbers listed on the front desk worked. I called each one to try to find out how to get into my reserved office, which I reserved over 3 weeks in advance. The only person in the office was another renter, leading a group. If he hadn't come out of his room, I wouldn't have had any way to get into the room I reserved and paid for. He called the owner of the space and she remotely let me into the room. Then I got locked out of my room after I walked a client to the elevator. Good thing that same renter was still there and could call the owner to give him the pass of the door lock. My phone and computer were in that room and I would have been ****ed if he wasn't still there. This was the most unprofessional office space I have ever paid for. The office smelled like a cheap NYC massage venue, was incredibly hot, disgusting kitchen. When the other renter called the owner, I had to wait 20 minutes until they got back to him so I could get in the room I paid for. The waiting area and kitchen had no filtered water as described in the listing. The coffee maker -- which was disgusting and not clean -- didn't work and the other renter told me it hasn't worked for a while. The bathroom next door was horribly disgusting and could be smelled in the hallway. If need someplace cheap, this should do. If you need someplace that is even somewhat professional, go somewhere else.

The member engagement here feels intentional without being pushy. They take time to get to know all members and bring them together in a very organic and thoughtful way. I'm in one of their small private offices, and honestly, the layout options are great. Whether you need heads-down focus or want to be in the mix, there's space for it. What I appreciate most is that Resident doesn't force community at the expense of productivity. You can close your door when you need to ship something, then grab coffee and end up in a conversation that changes your priorities. Both things can be true here. The pricing sits somewhere in the middle. Certainly not a budget option, but not outrageous either. But the value for what you pay is amazing. What you're paying for isn't just square footage. It's the experience, the people, the support system. When I think about the introductions I've gotten and the environment I work in every day, the ROI is clear. What truly sets them apart is the fact they're thoughtful about who they let in. The vetting process is real but doesn't feel invasive. It's more like a conversation to make sure there's mutual fit. Both professional and cultural. No one does that in NYC. That selectivity shows up in the quality of people you meet here with everyone's building something, contributing something, or helping someone else do the same. If you want just a desk, look elsewhere. But if you're serious about your work and want to be around people who are equally serious about theirs, Resident is the right call.
