Don't be surprised to find many residents of the community doing dances and stretches and exercise in the morning. Many older women come in groups and go in walks. And there are people that come and use the smaller basketball court. The playground for the children is also well maintained. I've never used the restroom at that oark but there is one located right in the middle.

For adults wanting to stay in shape, they have different types of equipment to strengthen arms, legs, and midsection. While these are not powered, some even offer limited cardio building capabilities. They have at least two public restrooms and working drinking fountains. Children playground equipment also exists. Finally, a baseball field with backstop, scoreboard and lights exists. At 191' to the right and left sidelines, it is suitable for high school or little league. This is a clean park that is well maintained. I was surprised not to see any homeless here.

The area feels very safe and well lit. I saw people dancing, baseball and soccer teams practicing and many people going out on their daily walks. I'd imagine it would be a great place for bbq as well during the day. Little details matter. Great job city of rosemead. Bugs and mosquitos love me but I managed to not get a single bite!! I really appreciate them implementing security checks prior to entering the show since last year! It was very crowded but there was plenty of space to enjoy the beautiful fireworks! The show lasted around 15 minutes and the fireworks were so big and pretty! Really enjoy how there were food stands and entertainment prior to the firework show as well!

What utilities? There's a very unique "Monster Park" in the back. Children and families were sliding through whales or lighthouses; others were climbing and hugging dolphins. This location also has a standard playground in the front, a gated baseball field, scenic walking pathway, public park exercise equipment area, plenty of grassy fields, restroom, pet waste dispenser locations, and many public picnic tables with shade & grilling areas. What are the negatives? There are no tennis courts or basketball courts. Also, I noticed that many of the pet waste dispenser spots had ran out of plastic bags. Overall, Vincent Lugo Park is one of the most remarkable parks that I've ever experienced. It's very clean, beautiful, and memorable. GRP features two lighted baseball fields, picnic facilities, restrooms, lighted tennis/pickleball courts, children's playground, a community room, museum and observatory and measures approximately 18 acres. Quite huge park, but you wouldn't know it from first glance. Very clean and well kept. Two parking lots are available. East side of the park on Orange Ave is where you'll find the picnic shelters, larger playground, community room, historical museum, basketball courts and observatory. West side of the park on Alhambra Ave is closer to the smaller playground and larger baseball diamond. As for the 1 full tennis and 1 full tennis + 4 pickleball shared courts, they are located on Orange Ave near the intersection of Orange Ave and Metro Dr. If you're coming from the north on Orange Ave, drive past the entrance of the park and go up the hill just a bit. The courts will be on your right. Very small parking lot in front of the courts. Street parking is also available. Lighted courts are first come first serve. For pickleball, permanent lines are available, but you'll have to bring your own net (BYON). If you plan to bring food/drinks, be careful of ants. They will find them LOL. Our work group had so much fun. We met some new pickleballer friends as well. Definitely a great place to play some amazing pickleball. Thank you GRP!

Will reopen on 5/13/2026. 2) Baseball/Softball Field 3) Community Center 4) Gymnasium: Indoor basketball and pickleball courts (7pm - 10pm) 5) Restrooms: They're available. Not really clean though. 6) Teqball table: Don't see people use this table to play. I guess I'll watch this on youtube for now. Hopefully, one day.... I'll be able to see this sport in real life. The day I paid a visit it had just rained a bit in the afternoon then cleared out for the rest of the evening. Up above this hillcrest on any given day I suspect would be ideal for watching the sunset or perhaps flying a kite. There was a consistent light breeze which felt refreshing, free from the congested traffic down below. Among the offerings include a baseball field, a modern jungle gym, basketball courts, and tennis courts. Specifically, tennis takes priority over pickleball. Further up the hill there's a small Japanese garden with a gazebo which while a bit worn out has a lot of charm. Street parking was plentiful and it never got really crowded. One thing I noticed was that my mobile network became somewhat spotty, but 'tis a minor inconvenience. If I'm free, I'd love to visit more often.
