The Jawbone BBQ in Advance did not disappoint! Another first time visit for me and I went with the tri-tip pulled pork grill cheese sandwich. The sandwich comes un-sauced so you can customize as you like with the homemade sauce they have. The flavor of the Texas toast being buttered and toasted on the grill was a huge plus for the sandwich. The tri-tip was the star and full of flavor and piled high on the sandwich. I was so excited to try a bite I forgot to take my photo first so I apologize on the half eaten sandwich in my photo. The gentleman who checked us in explained the menu and the sides they have that are made fresh daily. The menu is also changing so I didn't take any photos of that. The Broccoli salad was my choice between coke slaw or potato salad. It was super fresh and had great flavor. Drinks came with our sandwiches and you serve yourself any of the fountain Pepsi products or fresh brewed Iced Tea. The hours are posted on their door and website. They also cater from small to large gatherings. The inside of the restaurant is pretty cool all the way from the very old front door to the rustic seating and table arrangements. Super friendly people and really good food! A little out of the way but way worth it!

These peeps were featured on Fox 59 last week, I have also followed them on Facebook. We were greeted kindly as we walked in, great explanations on all our questions! I ordered the 3rd place burger, great flavor and cooked just right served on a toasted bun. The meals come with a side and a drink I had the broccoli salad it had very good flavor they were also offering potato salad that day!! Don't let the drive or the small town keep you away, very rustic inside great decor! We were told they do a lot of catering so keep that in mind gor your needs also!!

    Thumbs up

So many great things about this little bbq place/butcher shop. The menu changes daily but you can almost always count on fresh pulled pork and tenderloins. I especially love that they have a small meat counter where I can grab something for dinner on my way home. Their smoked pork chops and bacon wrapped filets are phenomenal. Super friendly service and high quality food have me looking forward to seeing this business grow and putting the little town of Advance on the map.

Enjoyed a meal at Jawbone with my family. We had pulled pork sandwiches, fried fish sandwiches and fried mushrooms. The meal was great. Priced well and friendly service. I'm pretty sure the menu changes daily based on what they have made. We had a choice of sandwiches: Tri-tip, Brisket, Tenderloin, Chicken nuggets, pulled pork, fish and burgers. Seating is outside as the inside isn't big enough. Pepsi fountain drinks available as well as sides. Sides I remember were: fries, onion rings, coleslaw, green beans, fried mushrooms. Great small town find.

Friday night Rib eye, cheesy potatoes and coke slaw with XL drink, only $14.99!

Friday night is Rib eye and baked potato night! You get a large rib eye steak cooked to perfection, and this $14.99 meal includes 2 sides and XL drink! My son had the steak and baked potato and green beans. Baked potato was huge. I opted for ribeye , cheesy potatoes and cole slaw. Slaw was excellent, cheesy potatoes average. Steaks were cooked just right and had excellent seasoning! The Jawbone does not have inside seating, but they do offer two shaded picnic tables outside. It is a nice drive through farm country to get to this new gem of a restaurant ! Enjoy!

Had pulled pork sandwich. A healthy portion, excellent bun, absolutely zero smoke. Sides and desserts do not taste like homemade

This is long -but it is that special. Please help me spread the word…read more This place is so understated and deceiving -in a good way! It looks like a meat packing house from the out-side. But when you step in, it's a homage to the art of meat preparation. The owner Steve is a gem. You can tell this is not only a quality business but also a passion project that he has continued from his father. My daughter is a recent Purdue graduate from '25 class. We are not local, but from NJ. She found this place as part of a local walk and stopped by to pick up a gift certificate to give as a thank you gift.. She noticed they do catering- and thank goodness!. We rented an Airbnb for her graduation so family can stay with us and had planned to have a caterer. But the caterer I booked 4 months prior to graduation cancelled on me one week prior to the event! I was left high and dry. My daughter remembered that Beutlers caters! Steve literally saved us when all others could not or would not. He was not only empathetic to our situation, but he made sure we had an amazing feast and thought of everything to ensure we had the celebration we envisioned. The food was so incredibly good. My family was raving about it all weekend long. Truly THE best pulled Pork and Beef brisket we've ever had. And for a family that doesn't even like beans, they couldn't stop eating it! So good, it should be illegal. We had leftovers for days. Best of all, Steve told me he prepped all the food himself. His TLC was evident. He made sure we had everything needed, even lovely serving baskets and lighters for sternos! My only regret is that my daughter graduated, and I have no known future opportunities to call on Steve again to work his magic. I hope this review gains traction. I'm on a mission to ensure that word gets out about this rare gem of a place and the incredible owner behind it all, Steve Beutler. Heartfelt thank you Steve.

She always has very unique finds that are perfect for gifts, or yourself! Most recently, I purchased a jar of elderberry and grape jam from her at the Indy Winters Farmers Market. While I can't say that they're for me, they definitely make a statement and can turn an eye...to say the least. Laura is incredibly nice and just another reason to give this place a shot (whether at their farm or at a local event).

Maybe you're looking for a feathered mask for a party? Fret not, Laura, Queen Feather, has you covered. I have made all of my Featherwerks purchases at the Indy Winter Farmers Market. My favorite part of every purchase experience has been listening to Laura explain what types of feathers are being used, how she gathered them and the general story behind the products. She has a crafty eye that could make even the dullest plumage into a work of art. Not only are they art, but extremely affordable - $8 for handcrafted and local earrings? I think I can pull that off ;) The feathers are gathered in a variety of ways, but most often they are compiled following the slaughter of the Farm's chickens for meat. **thought: this is definitely the first time I've used the word "slaughter" in a review...**
