What a night! We came to Kyle G's Prime Seafood & Steaks to celebrate our anniversary and they…read moreabsolutely delivered. Walked in to a handwritten card and anniversary confetti on the table -- small touches that set the tone. We started with oysters on the half shell: a dozen-plus fresh, plump oysters on ice, including the Dirty Romanoff (minced shallots, sour cream, caviar) and KG's Dirty Oyster (cucumber, ponzu, wasabi cream, caviar), plus cocktail sauce, mignonette, fresh horseradish, and lemon. One of the better oyster spreads I've had around here. The fried spiny lobster tail blew us away -- shatteringly crisp on the outside, sweet and tender inside, with a peppery ranch and clarified butter on the side. The lamb chops were cooked to a perfect medium-rare with balsamic, blistered tomatoes, and gremolata. Dessert was a decadent chocolate mousse cake with fresh berries and mint. Add in the waterfront views and genuinely attentive service by Brenda and you've got a special-occasion spot that's worth it. Already planning our next visit.

Our waitress was amazing attentive and friendly throughout the night. We were a group of five, and everyone ordered something different. We started with drinks, and they were all well-made and on point. For appetizers, I ordered the raw oysters, which were great for my taste, the relish and cocktail sauce had the perfect spicy kick. We also tried the buffalo chicken wings and calamari; they were good, but pretty standard compared to other places. For dinner, I ordered the 14 oz steak. I prefer mine rare, but it came out medium, so the waitress had to send it back. One of my friends ordered the watermelon salad it looked amazing, and she said it tasted just as good. The shrimp cocktail was also a highlight, with fresh, jumbo shrimp. The offered me 3 more oysters while I was waiting for the steak to be cooked right. Overall, the food was great, but be prepared to pay. In my opinion, the place is overpriced you're really paying for the view. One downside was the noise level. It was loud enough that we had to ask the waitress to repeat herself several times. While we enjoy good food, we also like being able to have a conversation during dinner. Because of that, we ended up finishing our meal and moving to the bar area, where we found seating on the back deck. The view there once again made the experience more enjoyable. I'd consider trying other places in the same category before coming back here.

We went two days in a row during our weekend stay in town!…read moreAmbiance (5/5): Plenty of seating indoors and some outdoor as well. Classic diner set up and ability to onlook where the wait staff prepare the finishing touches to the dishes. Service (5/5): The service for this joint is very much which made my experience. The wait staff women were a delight-- sweet, friendly, and eager to help! They provided updates, refreshed our beverages, sincere when an error was made, and provided recommendations too. Food (5/5): There is so much on the menu to try! Huge portions for an affordable rate. Don't miss out on their freshly baked goods. We loved the cinnamon bun over the coffee cake but both were very good and served warm. The pulled pork benedict special was very tender and had loads of flavor. I enjoyed the corned beef but liked the benedict more. The second day, we enjoyed omelet and brioche bun French toast.

The only issue is the traffic noise, which is considerable. The inside restaurant area is your typical breakfast restaurant with booths and tables. The outside dining area features several tables on the sidewalk with that side view of the ocean and a frontal view of all that previously mentioned traffic. For my dining experience I chose the outside. The Service: My server did a great job taking my order, making sure my drinks were replenished and actually getting my somewhat unusual hot tea with steamed milk and honey correct on the first try! The Food: Besides the traffic, here's where the restaurant falls on its sword. I ordered corned beef hash topped with poached eggs a side of "crispy" home fries and buttered sour dough toast. The Good: The highlight of the meal was the "homemade" corned beef hash. I'm always hesitant to order "homemade" corn beef hash because it's often full of items it really doesn't need. However, this corned beef hash was absolutely excellent and it was clear that it was really "homemade". The sour bread toast was also done properly and was amply buttered instead of what you get at so many places which provide a dash of butter, brushed on by a butter brush. Unfortunately, that's where the good ends. The Bad: My poached eggs were overdone featuring not a hint of runny yolks and those "crispy" home fries that I made a point of asking for, were about as far away from crisp as you could imagine. In fact they were probably the most mushy home fries I've ever had. The Price: I must say, the price was not bad but, I'd prefer to pay a bit more and get a better breakfast anytime!
