This donut shop is definitely one of older joints in town, very out dated and smells of it too. The donuts we got were a vanilla sprinkles and two Boston crémes which they both looked the same.. Chocolate Icing falling off but they filling was good. The bake of these donuts are very strong oil taste. I don't think I've ever had a donut taste light oil, bread and icing all at once. The kids are there's so I was happy they enjoyed it but not my favorite I didn't however overhear someone raving about their bagels but I can't say for my own personal experience.

I am a huge fan of the bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. The donuts were good. The coffee was amazing! I do recommend Java as a breakfast/lunch spot.

The glaze on the donuts was so thick that it kept the donuts in the box fresh for hours. It's a small spot with great donuts! Just wish they had an option to buy a boxed coffee to take to go.

I was in town visiting family and wanted donuts. This shop is awesome. They have a good variety. They are so nice and friendly. They have a drive thru too! I got half a dozen and I was so excited to get chocolate iced donuts with buttercream filling. It's hard to find down here! All the donuts were amazing and I got a hot white mocha which was super yummy as well!

Great customer service! I always use the drive-thru and I always have a pleasant experience. Prices are reasonable and the donuts are not bad. Donuts that I have tasted have not been overly sweet and I appreciated that. Sometimes parking can be tricky asd the drive-thru line snakes through the parking lot if it gets too long. Also, there's no intercom system with the drive-thru. You actually order at the window.

We do go to the big chain coffee shops when we're near home in Port Orange, but now that I work in Holly Hill, this is my go to place.

The new owners immediately made facility changes that vastly improved the look and feel of the shop. Not only new flooring, but the display cases, reach-in coolers, furnishings and other customer comforts. They "tidied up" the place and fixed stuff - exactly what was needed. They also expanded the existing menu without taking a blow torch to it. From my interactions with the staff, it was pretty obvious the owners were wanting to learn more about downtown Daytona, their legacy customers, and the changing market. Changes they made were mostly tweaks, all seeming to be received positively. Since the new year, it's obvious Serra Doce is leveraging all they've learned and have made major changes and improvements. They seem all in. There is now a brunch and à la cart breakfast and amazing sandwiches, pastries and fresh fruit offerings. Truly, Serra Doce has retained the best of why I've always enjoyed my coffees at this location, and expanded my choices with really amazing food offerings. The service is great. It's tough to keep staff these days, and like any regular place I go to, I do see new faces. But old ones too. All of my interactions have always been wonderful. It's why I come back. And it's still an affordable spot and, MOST IMPORTANTLY dog friendly and welcoming.

From a California girl's view, the aesthetic hits right in that sweet spot between coastal serenity and creative charm. The teal, turquoise, and blue mini-tiles wrapping the bar shimmer like little ocean prayers, matching perfectly with the benches and the tiny coffee table near the entrance. Even the plants look like they get more self-care than most humans--lush, alive, intentional. I ordered a matcha with almond milk and a single pump of vanilla, and honestly? Bliss. Simple, satisfying, exactly what my nervous system wanted. There's a marble chess set and a few games scattered around, almost inviting strangers to strike up soft connections and shared moments. The art on the walls is minimalist but layered--quiet at first glance, then surprisingly deep the longer you look. The ceiling leans mid-century, the music flows just right, and even the broken-mirror panels feel symbolic, like reflections of all the versions of ourselves we've grown through. The service was quick and mindful, and the women working there carried this gentle, effortless beauty about them. The whole experience felt like an oasis--intentional, serene, and aesthetically aligned with my spirit

I figured that they may be doing a Mother's Day Tea as most tea rooms do, but I had to message her on Facebook to ask as there was no information on it anywhere. She replied that she was and put us in for our reservation. The location is great- right across the a pier. There is parking outside, and after tea we walked around the park near it. While the tea seating was at noon, the doors did not open until about 12:15 as she got ready for us. Not a huge deal, but would have been good to know as it was hot outside. Once we got inside, the place is beautifully decorated. Teapots and teacups everywhere, lace and antique furniture, colorful and feminine decorations. She even had a photo station set up for Mother's Day and offered to take pictures! Since everyone was sat at the same time, the three tiers were already set up on the table, salads were set, and iced tea was poured. She came around to ask us our choice of soup (broccoli cheddar or greens and pork) and that came around as a second course with a mini quiche. Everything was great, dainty, and filling. On the three tiers was your usual afternoon tea varieties. Bottom tier were sandwiches. The cucumber sandwiches really surprised me as they were served topped with balsamic vinaigrette! I have been to a lottttt of tea rooms and had hundreds of cucumbers sandwiches and never seen that! It was amazing! The chicken salad sandwiches were on a store bought croissant and made with canned chicken (or that is what it seemed like) but they were still good! I believe she runs this tea room on her own and I understand that not everything can be home made. The scones made up for this- they were fresh, soft, and some of the best scones I have ever had. And again, I have had hundreds of scones! Unfortunately they were served with whipped cream on the side instead of a clotted cream or Devonshire cream, but they were so soft and fresh that they could go without cream on the side. The third tier was the sweets. Some macaroons, cookies, and mini cupcakes. Again, seemed store bought but the things that were homemade made up for it. The salad, soup, cucumber sandwiches, and scones were the highlights of the meal. She came around with pots of tea and poured those who wanted it, rather than taking orders. You could request types of tea to be made, though, so that was alright. It seemed like all the tea were types of celestial seasonsings tea which I love because I grew up on those. The Bengal Spice chai was made with milk which was lovely. This is the only tea room I have visited in Florida so far, but I would come back! I would love to come back for lunch or when it is not just 1 seated tea time. My family loved it, and as far as tea rooms go, she is doing a great job.
