As a management professional myself, the business practices of Java Juice House are alarming. I can't imagine ever requiring employees to address management as "Mom" - what is clearly an unethical manipulation tactic to assist management in controlling their teenagers/young adult employees. The forcing of a close "familial" bond, combined with the fact that young adults are less likely to know their rights in the workplace and report unethical business practices - it makes me frightened for the other unsavory behaviors employees are potentially enduring that the public does not yet know about. As many other reviews can attest, one of these unethical practices, is the stealing of earned wages (tips) from other employees. Personally, I can't think of a single reason that the existing employees wouldn't file a complaint with the Dept. of Labor, as the company is and has been complicit in illegal theft of wages - wages that employees have earned with their hard work during this trying pandemic. (You can call 866-4US-WAGE to call Wage and Hour division of the DoL confidentially.) The fact that this company has no regard for complying with the Fair Labor Standards Act is a clear indicator that there are likely other issues behind the scenes that need attention as well, which is disappointing to say the least. A recommendation to any current employees of this company would be to first and foremost, research wage and labor laws and know your rights as an hourly employee. Secondly, please know your worth, and know that so many companies would be more than happy to treat you with the dignity and respect that you deserve. read more

This establishment has wonderful employees that are really helpful and very sweet but when I went you could hear the owner screaming at the employees in the back room if that's not enough to make you lose your appetite he was also screaming at his own mother who he employed to work there he also tell us that the tips would go to the employees but in reality he was lining all of his pockets with the tips the employees work hard to get and with covid going around people where being extra generous and giving bigger tips to help out the employees but it went to the owner you could hear a employee talking about it but later that day the employee was then very publicly fired infront of the parking lot by the manager that forced the employees to call her mom you could hear her shouting things about how could you try to turn the employees against after I treated you like a daughter then continuing to shout at the poor woman which the woman just gave her the key to the store and left now if that's the type of establishment you would want to give your money to then go ahead but I would advise against for the owner does not deserve any money coming to him and I hope the very nice and sweet employees that work there find another job that would appreciate them and not try to tear them down mentally I am not in control of you but I do want to ask you to please not spend your money there have a great day read more

Despite the amazing food, amazing service, and excellent personalities from your employees, I am giving this place 1 star desperately wishing it could go lower. First of all, I witnessed a manager/boss inappropriately (and wrongfully terminated from what I heard) firing one of the employees who used to work there in a parking lot in front of everyone to see. Second of all, I also learned that you have a manager/boss by the name of Fareed who constantly yells at, belittles, and verbally abuses his employees and his own mother with everyone able to hear it. Not only is he very verbally aggressive with your employees, he has been stealing tips the employees get from customers and keeping them all to himself. And finally, the fact that you refuse to tell your employees your name and force them to call you mom? That is grooming and predatory behavior. Especially, ESPECIALLY, when you only seem to hire high school-college aged kids. It is inappropriate for you in a workplace to force people to call you by anything other than your name. Everything is excellent! I have been here twice so far and both times I had great service and fresh food. The staff is extremely attentive and helpful, especially if it's your first time and you're not sure what to get or what ingredients a certain item has in it. I had the selfie smoothie the first time and the second time I went I had the acai bowl with bananas, strawberries, peanut butter, Nutella and granola. I also had the avocado toast and I tasted some of my friend's savory crepe. Everything was delicious. It was refreshing. They have free wifi available if you're a college student like me and want to work while eating. I will admit that the prices are on the higher end but for organic food it is normal. Love! I'm so excited to have a great smoothie and coffee place nearby. I had the Selfie Smoothie and a crepe with blueberries and salted caramel syrup. They were both delicious and my kids devoured them in minutes. My kids loved watching how the crepes were made. The staff were very friendly and the shop is cute and spotless. Would be a great place for meeting a friend and having a conversation. There are even some tables outside. The price point is on the higher end in my opinion, but reasonable as far as juice/smoothie places go. It's also worth the price if organic is worth the money to you. read more

This is a great place for a smoothie- try the Southern Belle- so good, refreshing and not too sweet! Also had a cold vanilla latte that was amazing on my return visit. My favorite dish is their avocado toast drizzled with balsamic vinegar- so delicious! Will visit again & again! read more
