I heard many people say that this place was a must-try in Park City. I missed the hype. Tried a coffee and a breakfast burrito and both were very average. There was a line and the burrito took forever even though it was microwaved. The coffee was insanely sweet. Nothing tasted bad necessarily, but nothing I would come back for. The staff wasn't very welcoming or helpful. Maybe the ice cream is really the play here. read more

Homemade ice cream...check Fresh baked waffle cones ...check Fast friendly service ...check This place was great, fresh creamy homemade ice cream in a waffle cone. So many flavors to choose from, I went with the heath bar toffee..yum! We ate our ice cream inside at one of the few tables. Great location to people watch and look at the gift shop. Holy cows... so many cows all over the place, everywhere you mooovvee...t shirts, mugs you name it! They also have a coffee area with all sorts of baked goods.Everything looked good. It's not just an ice cream and coffee place! We had the most wonderful breakfast here- Nutella waffle for the waffle lover and strawberry croissant for me with a dirty chai tea latte! Heavenly! Sat outside at their two tables and off we went. Perfect pick me up. read more

This shop has some promise, but fell flat for me. They offer a large variety of items from coffee to pastry to ice cream. Located in the middle of the downtown we found them to always be busy with a long line. The theme of the shop is cute with cows everywhere. In addition to the coffee bar and ice cream shop there are novelties and other goodies for sale. Seating includes a few tables outside, a few tables in the front of the shop, and a few tables at the back of the ice cream side. Everything inside is packed tight and can be difficult to make your way through the shop. My husband stopped in for coffee a couple of times and found it to be okay. Long waits, but the coffee wasn't bad. The main issue with Java Cow is everything concerning the ice cream. The ice cream selection is limited with mostly basic flavors. The line was long and slow to get ice cream. At the front I was helped by an employee that had long hair, not pulled back in any way. He scooped my ice cream with his long hair dangling over all of the other ice cream bins in the case. The single scoop was the smallest scoop I've ever seen and came in at $5. It's rare I complain about price, but this was overpriced. Overpriced for a tiny scoop of mediocre ice cream. I always prefer to give my business to local shops, but this trip I went to the chain down the street for my ice cream. The ice cream, service, and cost were all far superior. read more

I was visiting from out of town and had delicious ice cream from here. I ordered a cookies n cream scoop in a waffle cone. The cone was fresh, and the ice cream was high quality. They have some seating outdoors which is great when the weather is pleasant. Also, walk out and take a left and look at the wall in the alley. There is a Banksy art piece! I would definitely visit here again and would recommend this to all to try. read more

Overpriced, and the ice cream wasn't delicious. Customer service was not the greatest either. My son's vanilla and Cotton candy tasted like it was Freezer burnt. My salted caramel lacked flavor. Banksy, Cappuccinos, Ice Cream and a Cow... I thought I would have to go three days without a cappuccino in Park City and there it was... Java Cow Coffee. It's not the craft coffee with a hipster barista that you get in the big cities, but for being up in the mountains, they do a decent pull. If you want Starbucks, sure, you can get that at the bottom of the hill on Park Avenue, but if you want espresso, you have to come here. If you don't care for coffee, you can always get their famous ice cream, which looked really good. Lots of creative flavors and perfect for a summer day. Of course for those coolbies who already know about the cow in the back, the real reason to come here is to meet Banksy. On the side of the building in the little alley street is a Banksy original of a camera man filming a flower. If me saying Banksy brings a "Whaaaaa???" look to your eyes, that's okay. He's just the most famous activist muralist on the planet. People don't even know what he looks like and they are willing to bid up his works $1-$2 mil. We stopped by for ice cream one summer evening, but probably should have kept walking by. Here is what we noticed: - Really long lines. - As we got to the front of the line, we noticed that a lot of the flavors were either out or covered up - One of the servers sneezed and then didn't even wash his hands...my son was having a fit about it because he works at an ice cream shop where we live and knows better. - There was real variability in the sizes of the scoops...I got a kid who seemed to have a sore hand so my cup was much smaller than the cup my wife got. Bottom line: Total tourist trap...you're better off driving down to a grocery store and buying more ice cream at a better price! read more

I'm impressed with the amount of cow decorations this place has. They sell cow chapstick to cups and t-shirts. Kind of cool if you ask me. The crepe and the vanilla latte were superb. Lots of flavors and was delicious. Service was pretty quick and pretty friendly. I had a crepe with their ice cream and man it was good. If I ever come back here I would definitely try some of their other ice cream. When we went the other side wasn't opened yet (before 11) so we didn't get to try the ice cream. read more

Stopped in here for breakfast. Got the Early Riser Crepe. It hit the spot! Nice, hot, melted cheese with ham. YUM! Even though it wasn't even 11am, my husband got a dessert crepe (which of course I had more than a few bites). It was delicious! I got the Matcha Chai Latte. This was "udderly" disappointing. Terrible experience. We had to wait at the counter so long I finally had to yell toward the back to see if someone was there. 3 guys came from the back and the one we dealt with had a bad attitude. I ordered a cafe au lait and it was so Nasty I had to reorder a cappuccino. The cappuccino wasn't so great. The place was filthy, they had no napkins at the self service station, there were multiple coffee spills and I'm done typing my negative thoughts. After I finished my review I came to find that my wife, who was in the restroom at the time had order a latte but it ended up being hot old coffee with some steamed coconut milk. I decided to digress and call the manager the next day to get a refund. Go across the street to the other coffee place. read more

Overpriced and average ice cream. The single scoop was tiny and over $6. That's more than my hometown small-batch microcreamery. They "don't do" samples either which is ridiculous when you're paying that much. The person scooping the ice cream was rude on top of everything. I would avoid this place. read more

Tiny ice cream scoops, so small the young man checking me out said "one scoop waffle cone". Giving the benefit of the doubt it was a busy evening and the young girl scooping must not have been doing it long, since she put the scoops in a tiny bowl first. And the 2 chocolate flavors I wanted were gone. But they did have ok, non chocolate choices. Very cute store, I will likely go back while in Park City. read more

OMG the ice cream is like butta! Almost $5 for a single scoop is steep but your on Main street Park City. My son got the mint chocolate chip, it was amazing. This is like no other mint ice cream i ever had. The chunks of chocolate were big and chewy. I ended up eating most of it, ha! We went on the other side and they have great eclairs and other desserts. Service was young but it was efficient. I will be back! read more

Although the store is so cute and it seems like a novelty it is not worth it. The ice cream had no flavor, the macaroons tasted stale, and the banana chocolate smoothie for sour and had no flavor. Are total was close to $30 after tip. I recommend saving your money or going across the street. The service was also just okay. The girl behind the counter grabbed a pastry with her bare hand. How do you say I LOVE YOU in Cow? Anyone? Anyways... I love this place. We frequently make little "getaway" trips to Park City and Java Cow has become part of our tradition. When it's cold, you have to stop in for their gourmet hot cocoa. They always make it the perfect temperature, and I love that it's not a super strong chocolate flavor, tastes more creamy. The ice cream is also a must-have, for the summer time. Or just get both and the best of both seasons! They also occasionally have some tasty macarons. Just look inside their little glass display of goodies and try something, I promise you won't regret it. They have a nice little seating area in the back if you want to stay inside, or some little benches on the outside. Either way, if you just need a little pick-me-up, moooooove on over here and maybe go to the moooovies afterwards! ;) read more

1st time here. Recommended by a friend who is a regular at Park City. Had ice cream and took a pistachio eclair home to eat later. Both were quite yummy. Liked the variety of ice cream. Felt things were a bit overpriced, but Park City is a tourist town, so not surprised. read more

Just stumbled into this place to be entertained by all the funny gag gifts as I waited in line to order. The cone was awesome and the ice cream was huckleberry and chocolate so you can't go wrong there! It was amazing. 10 minutes of my life I can't wait to revisit again! read more

While we were there we saw a cocktail class happening, which looked really fun. Definitely something I'd love to come back and try next time. Small detail, but I also loved the bathroom products. It's those little touches that make a place stand out. Overall the drinks, atmosphere, and service were all excellent. One of my favorite cocktail spots in Park City.

The coffee is were I have a bit of a issue it is very inconsistent I always get the same 12oz honey breve and it's always different sometimes it's one of the best Ive had and other times it's one of the worst coffees I've had. I also tried the matcha they have and I am particular about it was like really thick and grainy so I would say no to the matcha.

I ordered a broccoli ham soufflé thing and not only did it take 15 minutes to get, it came with the center still cold. Hopefully they can turn it around, clearly just staff issues, as the vibes are pretty good.
