Came here for Father's Day Can't say I was disappointed at all and our server was super nice and very attentive, but the menu was a bit overwhelming with all the options and the food was good if not spectacular. Did find out that whatever meat we got (maybe kangaroo) is DRY, that's on my for ordering it. But still, beef wasn't well seasoned. I wish I could give Jasper's more stars. If you're not paying attention you'll drive right by it. They are practicing all Covid safety measures. We were seated in their outdoor seating area immediately. Our waitress was fantastic and was very attentive. We ordered the Little Yellow Jacket with Bison, a Classic with Kangaroo, and a bucket of fries. These were the BEST burgers I've ever had. Everything was fresh and flavorful and the meat was juicy and tender. The large order of fries is plenty for 2 people. I wish I lived closer because this would be my go to spot. read more

This place is amazing. My parents have lived in Medford for ten years, but have never been here, so I took my mom for lunch. Very chill place with great food. The server gave us water right away and they were very attentive the whole visit. I got the Smokey and the Bandit with tater tots. My mom got a classic burger with onion rings and a vanilla milkshake. Everything was delicious. The burgers were juicy, but not greasy. The gouda bacon combo hit the spot. My tots and her onion rings were fried really well, wonderfully crispy. The milkshake was cold and creamy. We had a great experience and will definitely be back. read more

Incredibly consistent. I have been eating here for 20 years and the food, regardless of changing owners, is always incredible. The burgers are expertly prepared and so mouth watering. We were here last back in 2018 and gave it a 5 star rating. We stop overnight in Medford as a rest stop when we go up and back to Portland from N. Calif. But, of course, Covid-19 changed all that. This is our first road trip since the beginning of the Pandemic. Much has changed since our last visit over 3 years ago. They've added outdoor, covered seating - 2 patios with roofs and plenty of gas powered overhead heaters. It's a welcome addition. And the menu has changed. They added some things - more burgers, hot dogs and appetizers. We had a late lunch in Redding earlier in the day so we weren't really hungry but wanted a little something to carry us over until breakfast the next morning. I had a Chicago Hot Dog and my wife had their Jasper Dog - their standard hot dog. We also had a small Onion Ring, a side of Cole Slaw and a Coffee Milk Shake. My Chicago Dog was a good hot dog but it wasn't a true Chicago Dog. There was no neon-green relish, no Sport Peppers (mild), no Celery Salt and no Poppy Seed Bun. But, still, it was a good hot dog. The sausage had good texture and a nice 'snap' to the casing. The condiments were about the right proportions. The menu description included a 'pickle spear.' That never made it to my plate. The Jasper Dog was a hit with my wife as were the milkshake and the Onion Rings. But the Cole Slaw was not quite right for her. The Milkshake was a real winner! It tasted great and it was pretty apparent that it was made from scratch with real ice cream and milk. The texture was smooth but not too thick so we were able to consume it through straws. It was much better than those shakes made from a mix dumped into a soft serve ice cream maker! Service was outstandingly good. The staff is on their toes and hustle so no one gets cold food from the kitchen. Angelica was our server and she was nice, had a great personality and knew her stuff! So even thou ugh my Chicago Dog wasn't exactly right, there were enough good things going on for me to rate Jasper's 5 stars, again! Jim read more

The reviews were all right, this place is for sure worth checking out if you're in the area. We stopped in briefly on our trip up and the food here was exactly what we needed after a long day of being on the road. Simple and straightforward hot dogs. Awesome fries. Good sweet potato fries, too. The milkshake brought me back to my childhood, sprinkles and all. They bring you a spoon and not a straw, and that's the right way of eating it. What else can I say? We were craving burgers and have heard good things about Jasper's, so we decided to give it a try. We got there at 7:25 and the server at the door didn't really greet us, but immediately said that we needed to hurry up and order because they close at 8. Not a great welcoming start. We found a table, but it was by an open window and it's cold out! (35 degrees) We closed the window only to have the server come back by and open it again. I think it's because it's such a small space and there was a condensation on the windows. But, man, it was uncomfortable. We ordered and the server immediately brought us the bill before we even got our food, saying they had to settle up before 8. It was like 7:35. The burger was good (thankfully) but we felt very rushed and it was not a comfortable or welcoming experience. Not sure we will be back, when Back Porch is down the street and is always great and welcoming. read more

I reviewed this place probably 7-8 years ago, when we were passing through Medford, and called it a reason to pass through Medford!! Nothing has changed, still the best burgers (try the Johnny Ringo), exotic meats available, (try the bengal tiger). Just kidding there is no bengal tiger, not that I am aware of anyway. The staff is wonderful, there's an outdoor patio for dogs (on a leash), they might even get given a frozen doggie treat on a hot summer day, just like ours were. Before returning to California, I had to have me a bison burger. I was not disappointed here. It was good and the fries were a first. Never had a cut like that but enjoyed them. Staff is nice. My reason for a 4 versus a 5: my burger had too much blue cheese sauce and it made my bun extremely soggy. The elk flavor was disappointing and not cooked to medium rare as I ordered. Everything was okay. Service was really disappointing...completely understand being busy and service being slow but being rude to a customer when you forgot their order is a bit off putting. We saw multiple people who ordered after us and not only get their food, but finish their food and leave... When we asked a female server if they could check on our order we were just told to go back to the bench outside and sit down. Overall, wouldn't recommend. Food at jaspers is great. Their service is great, the atmosphere is also fine.... But all of the things that you can get there you can get else where and for cheaper... jaspers used to be slightly more expensive than other premium burger places but that has changed... It's $20 for a burger, fries, and drink from jaspers, and it goes up from there. Killer burger is cheaper, Barney's is cheaper, and both of those places have VERY comparable products to jaspers. Some might even say better. Doing a quick menu comparison I can get a basic burger with fries from Barney's for $14. For the same thing at jaspers it's $18.50. Compare it to killer burger and the story is the same $14 for a basic burger with fries... I understand inflation but it seems that jaspers is shelling off their reputation, used to be the best burger in town, but I'm going to be voting with my dollar and head elsewhere. $5.25 for some cut up potatoes, y'all should be ashamed. read more

I ordered a Chili-dog and Chili Fries today for my wife and I. First off they charge $13.25 for a hotdog that doesn't even feel a regular bun and I've never seen anyone charge $11.25 for a regular chili fry not a large just a single portion fry. Secondly, they sent it out with the tiny dollop of onions and a dollop of cheddar cheese both small plastic dollop cups that you would normally use for dipping sauce for fries and not the big ones and they were half full. Flavor was bland and I've never been charged $25 for a small chili, dog and chili fries. We've gotten sandwiches here once before and they were small as well.. people have lost their mind on what they're charging for food. I'm just going to eat at home and never return to this place. A total disappointment again. I don't know why people go here. read more

Unfortunately, I can't rate the food but the one star they're getting (only because I can't give them zero stars) is because of their garbage service. We're staying in a vacation rental in Medford so there's no food at the house. I tried to order dinner for my family through DoorDash. Got the order placed a solid two hours before they closed and was projected to have about a one-hour delivery time. Waited almost the full hour and then right about the time our Dasher should have been picking up our food for delivery, I get notified by DoorDash that our order has been cancelled with no explanation as to why. I contacted DoorDash and was informed Jasper's had cancelled my order on their end, most likely because they got too busy and couldn't be bothered to fill my order. Now it's too late to order something from somewhere else and my family will have to get by on chips and cookies tonight. It goes without saying I won't be giving Jasper's another shot after this. I wouldn't eat there if I had cancer and their food was the only known cure. read more

Got here before official opening. They set us any way and got our drink orders. Super friendly. We ordered a huckleberry milkshake which was good enough just to come by for and nothing else. We also order a Pearl heart burger and onion rings. All was good. They also have a very outdoor eating area with a chalk board. Lovely garden feel.
