Ok so let me start off by saying, if you want an amazing dentist office, then you need to come to…read moreNewcastle Dentistry. My husband was scheduled for 4.5 hours and needed quite a bit of work. Well, between Dr Strange and his assistant, and the rest of the friendly staff that just come to say hi and check in, thank you for another amazing experience. To the patient next to my husband, who came in immediately complaining to the hygienist about being 10-15 minutes late, stating that because they were running 10 minutes behind, YOU were going to be late for your next appt. I would like to say to you, that if you are reading this, and it was you at Newcastle Dentistry, it's not fair for you to treat the staff so poorly. People need to realize, things don't always work out where EVERYTHING is on time and by NO MEANS does any dentist office or medical office for that matter, have only one patient and everything runs smoothly. It just doesn't happen. The Hygienist was so kind and patient with you but most of all, the MOST professional but you still treated her terribly. So to the hygienist, I don't know your name but I apologize for this lady and the way she acted. Stay amazing! I have worked in the medical field for 23 years and because I cannot speak up for myself when patients get upset with my place of employment, I will speak up for the staff, at Newcastle Dentistry. Next time you come to an appt and you are that upset, maybe you should just reschedule, rather than go off on someone who is only trying to do their job, because emergencies happen and things come up and just because you have an appt time, that is an ESTIMATE. Next time you are running 10 minutes late because of things out of your control, maybe they should just tell you that your appt has been cancelled. They don't get paid for you to go off on them and do NOT deserve that type of treatment. So next time, think before you speak, if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all and lastly... TREAT OTHERS HOW YOU WANT TO BE TREATED!!!!!

Bluntly I found Newcastle Dentistry warm and cold. Dr. Rosanna and her dental assistant were the warm aspects. I thought they were great for the little time they saw me. I was a bit surprised to find their x-ray machine was a bit inadequate. The last office I went to was able to x-ray all my teeth. This one's machine was unable to. The dental hygienist was cold. At first she was friendly, even complimented my teeth, but then seemed to become very irritated when I told her I rarely flossed. She went from friendly conversation to being very short and snappish. I also didn't care for the layout. It basically is the assembly line format - a line of chairs separated by dividers. I could hear everything going on around me, all the drilling, all the motors whirling. It did not comfort me. Upon checking out I was reminded how much I missed my old dental office's office staff. They weren't great at anything else but I always left with a cheery goodbye. The receptionist here barely said two words and it was enough that I opted not to schedule a follow up appointment.

    ### Springtime Between the Teeth: A Record of Painless Care at Seventy-Three…read moreThis clinic has stood for thirty-two years; for twenty-three of them, it has been my anchor. Twenty-three years--more than half of my adult life etched into a single dental chair. When the original doctor retired, I wondered if that long-held bond of trust could be sustained by a new hand. The hesitation dissolved at the threshold. Anetta, at the front desk, exuded a warmth that dismantled my psychological defenses. It wasn't mere politeness; it was a rare authenticity, treating a twenty-three-year veteran not as a patient, but as an old friend. In the operatory, Sarah and Helen moved with the rhythmic precision of a chamber orchestra. Their coordination was silent and absolute--instruments clicking faintly, every motion a mastery of time. Then came Dr. Christine Cao. Taking over a thirty-two-year legacy requires more than skill; it requires a certain steel. As the high-speed drill whirred--that sharp, cicada-like scream that usually pierces the soul--I felt absolutely nothing. Dr. Cao's touch possessed a surgeon's decisive crispness. Two hours of labor were collapsed into one through sheer, seamless expertise. Though I am seventy-three, I sat there with the lightheartedness of a young man. This youthfulness isn't about erasing wrinkles; it's about a refusal to grow timid. I observed their professional dignity and found a strange resonance. I am a hard-boiled man who has weathered the winds of the Inner Mongolian plains; I recognize quality when I see it. There was a fragmented half-tooth I could have ignored, but looking at this team, I made a choice: I will return next Tuesday to finish it all. No delays, no lingering tasks. Life is too short for hesitation. This cross-generational trust has found its continuation in Dr. Cao's fingertips, proving that as long as one maintains a sharp eye for life's details, vitality never withers.

She is extremely rude, and unprofessional. There was an outage, and it is one of the hottest summer days, and there was no eagerness for her to turn on the AC after asking her multiple times. I was completely ignored and she sat at her desk and text on her phone, put lotion on, pretended to be on her work phone. Dental matters are pretty serious and it takes somebody who actually wants to be there and who is very efficient at their job to do it. She should not be running this office and as other people have complained as well. It is baffling that they have not gotten rid of this lady. I have actual video of her completely ignoring me and sitting at her desk and doing nothing. That's all she does is nothing all day long. If you wanna get real care and real Assistance and a response, I suggest maybe trying a different dental office. I am going to have to try another place and possibly change our Dentist altogether because of her. The AC was still not turned on and the office was left stifling hot. I had to prop the door open so I did not pass out. That is very concerning and telling of her character. I do not recommend this office or Gentle Dental in general.

Her staff was personable enough, but the work she did was so terrible I had to get it RE-DONE just weeks later. My new dentist was appalled that she would have allowed me to leave her office and arranged to have x-rays sent to my insurance company to explain why I had to have re-work done so quickly. The insurance company and my new dentist asked that she PAY ME BACK for the work she did. I went in for regular dental work and needed two fillings. I warned her up front that since I was a pre-teen, I have had a very abnormal reaction to numbing agents. It takes A LOT to get my numb. This is because I have a central nerve that runs VERY close to the surface. I have had multiple doctors confirm this. She said okay, no problem. When the work started she gave me one round of numbing and tried to start work. I told her, "I'm sorry this is very painful. I told you I am a little different." She said, "Oh you just need some more time for it to work." OK. She tried again 15 mins later. Again, INTENSE pain. I said, "Please, I am telling you, this is still painful." She reluctantly gave me another round and waited another 20 mins. (Mind you I am now 45 mins in the chair and nothing has been done). She tried again and I said it was better, but still could feel things. She said, "You shouldn't be able to feel this." And I reminded her for a THIRD time that I have a different physiology than many. She then leaned into me and asked, "Well I know you may not want to say this, but are you on drugs?" EXCUSE ME?!! "Well this would happen if you were a heavy recreational drug user. You should just tell me if you're an addict. That would make this easier." I was STUNNED. I had warned her prior to doing ANY of this that I have had trouble with numbness and THIS was her reaction?! It sadly bears stating, that I am a black woman... I hope that is not why she made this ridiculous and offensive assumption, but ..... "NO." I told her. "I am NOT an addict or drug user. This is exactly what I told you about before we started nearly an hour ago." "OK if you insist... but it really would make things easier." I wanted to get up and walk out, but I am now mid-drilling (she did SOME before I couldn't take the pain anymore) and I didn't know how to leave with my mouth LITERALLY mid-procedure. When she finally gave a final round of numbing agent and I could take it. But since we were so far behind she kept stopping the work and going to work on OTHER PATIENTS in the middle of my procedure. Finally 2 hours in on 2 fillings, she barely buffed my fillings and said...OK you'll have to come back another time for me to finish. The feeling in my mouth was UNBELEIVABLE. The filling was so rough I could feel my tongue was going to be rubbed raw. My jaw was ACHING (I have TMJ) from holding it open for 2 hours. And what I didn't know is that her work was so harsh that my gums would recede. They are STILL (a year later) not normal and I have to have my new dentist put a protective sheath around them every 6 months or so to prevent pain because my gums have never been normal again around those teeth. My new dentist is lovely. She Immediately LISTENED when I told her about my issue with numbing and I have NEVER had a problem again. When she saw the work Dr. Nguyen had done, she was so disturbed she said she wanted to make sure she documented the HORRENDOUS work she did so that it could be corrected without me having to pay out of pocket. (Insurance companies will not pay for duplicative work in the same 6 month period without documentation.) The insurance company agreed to pay -- process that. I asked my new dentist what I should do about this. I was traumatized, discriminated against and my teeth were REALLY messed up. She said the only thing I could do would be to ask for the portion of the work I paid for to be returned. When I called Dr. Nguyen's office to explain. Her staff was again, kind but all I received from her was a folded blank piece of paper in the mail from Advanced Dentistry, with a check for $248. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE Dr. NGUYEN YOUR BUSINESS. DO NOT TRUST HER WITH YOUR DENTAL HEALTH. PLEASE don't be me.

Sixth months of pain thanks to this office's negligence…read more Going to this dentist resulting in me probably needing a root canal. I came in to get some simple fillings done, and I'm now saddled with hundreds of dollars of bills, to pay for procedures that screwed up my teeth. The doctors left (with full knowledge) overhangs on both of my fillings. This means that whenever I flossed, the floss would catch on the fillings and pull on them. The dentist informed me that this was normal and I would just need to pull through my floss for the rest of my life. After a month of pain, I went back to ask why the fillings still hurt. They took x-rays, shaved one of them down a little bit, and told me the other was fine and I should go home. I developed hot and cold sensitivity. I finally visited another dentist with 30+ years experience. I've now learned that purposely leaving overhangs on fillings is absolutely not normal, and that what they've done is careless at best. I saw the x-rays myself this time, and you can clearly see the sharp, jagged overhang's that were left after the fillings were put in. I've also learned that One of the filling simply broke because of the way that they left the overhangs. Until I've had over $700 in dentistry bills, and six months of dismissed pain. I know I will likely need a root canal in one of the teeth, and I needed to get both fillings replaced. This place looks great on the outside. The customer service is excellent. However, I would caution anyone against blindly trusting that this office knows what they're doing.

First off, Beau and Andrew are extremely knowledgeable in the field of cosmetic dentistry. They are extremely professional and the office staff and ambience in general is very welcoming. They stand by you in every step of the process to ensure you're having the smoothest experience possible. As an attorney, my schedule is very busy and it was somewhat difficult for me to take days off to appear for the procedure I wanted to get done. When putting in my temporary veneers, Beau was extremely accommodating, much more so than I ever expected. Due to my busy schedule, I was only available on a Friday, a day in which the clinic is usually closed, but Beau agreed to do the work for me on a Friday after I was off from work to make it so that there's less issues with my schedule. I arrived after work and Beau was able to place all of my temporary veneers on that same day. After doing so, he provided me with his phone number and told me to text or call him at any time if I have any questions or concerns, or issues. This level of care and service went above and beyond my expectations, and I am extremely thankful for the accommodating service, professionalism, and high quality of work that I received from Da Vinci Dental. This clinic is arguably the top-rated cosmetic dental clinic in the Pacific Northwest, if not on the entire west coast. Their reviews really do speak for themselves. Thank you so much again!
