As far as choices go in Peterborough, this is a solid choice! Food is tasty and portions are generous. as far as Thai food, however, it falls short compared to other places we have been (and yes we have also been to thailand lol!). While the food is good, it's not exactly authentic. the khao soi and fried rice were respectable, but the pad see ew and rad na were strange variations. interior is peacefully designed, and server was kind. prices are edging toward higher end these days (as most places) read more

Delicious!! It's a little hidden gem in peterborough that you would honestly miss if you didn't do some research. There are limited seatings however, the staff is super friendly and accommodating. We found this place by googling nearby and this came out to be one of the number 1 rated restaurant in Peter borough! so I mean... we had to try it after our hike. We ordered the chicken famous pad Thai, red curry chicken rice. Both of these dishes were so delicious that we completely finished everything. My friends had order vegan dishes and were told that theirs amazing as well! This place is so cute and food is so delicious. You need to try it if your ever in the area. read more

No question; the food is excellent. However, if you make a reservation, you may get a surprise. I made a reservations yesterday (for today). It was supposed to be a very special lunch for a very special person who had never been to Jasmine and she was from out of town. I made the reservation for 12:00 noon, and when we arrived, the restaurant displayed a notice in the window that they were CLOSED due to maintenance. Picked up take-out from Jasmine Thai on the basis of the recommendations of others. We live quite a distance north of Peterborough but we definitely weren't disappointed in the food by the time we got it home and served more than three hours later. The four of us shared the coconut soup w/chicken, mango salad, chicken pad thai, massaman curry w/chicken, and cashew w/beef, and finally, the sesame seed balls for "desert". Despite being rewarmed, everything was extremely flavourful, absolutely delicious and tasted very fresh. Even the sesame seed balls were like they had only just been made! The serving sizes were rather on the small side. It was definitely a stretch to serve four hungry mouths with what we ordered; especially the coconut soup, which came in a surprisingly small tub and was really only enough for two. We definitely should have ordered more rice, too, but when we've had from any other Thai restaurants there has always been more than enough rice without ordering extra. Not so, here. Still, I would have given Jasmine Thai a five star review on the basis of the food quality but in the final analysis I could not, because of their prices, which are significantly higher than competing Thai restaurants in Peterborough. Including tax, and with only one can of pop, the final tally was over $112. That's pushing $30 per person! Comparing posted menus, other Thai places in town would cost somewhere between $55 and $75 for a similar order. The food was great but it will be quite a while before we return to Jasmine Thai. read more

We stopped here for lunch on the way to Toronto because it was highly rated. The ratings are WRONG! Several reasons why...first, the business hours posted on the door is incorrect. They open at 11:30 AM, not 11AM, and even when they eventually open, don't expect the food to be ready. We had to wait 20 minutes for the jasmine rice to cook. By noon, our food was served, we ordered the lemongrass soup, Thai grilled chicken with sticky rice and rad-nah noodles. Zero stars for the sticky rice, it was the sweetened sticky rice with coconut milk (normally served with mango as a dessert). When I asked for plain sticky rice, the waitress said they do not have that and I will have to wait for the jasmine rice that wasn't done cooking. The soup was decent, a little too sour and not enough spice. Rad-nah was made with thin rice noodles, not the authentic wide rice noodles and it was very bland. I asked for a spice tray, none available. To top it all off, when the waitress left my table, she and the other staff was complaining about my requests in Thai. I happen to understand the language. I didn't ask for anything else because I was afraid they would do something to my food if I dared ask. Will never recommend or return to this place. read more

Jasmine Thai Cuisine just earned a seat amongst my top 3 Thai experiences across Canada and the US. Amazing is an understatement! Everything was so fresh and delicious! We had the Mango Salad, Crab Rangoon, Spring Roll, Vegetarian Coconut Soup (Tom Kha), Vegetarian Lemongrass Soup (Tom Yum), Vegetable Thai Fried Rice and Deep Fried Banana with Honey and Sesame Seeds. We received a very warm welcome by the staff (all family). Toi`s (the daughter) spring rolls are to die for because they have multiple wrapper layers, resulting in an epic crunch. The cook (the mama) was available for diners to chat with, which gave an intimate ambiance. The decor is beautiful traditional. Tthe silverware is sparklingly clean, which made me feel secure about their kitchen hygiene. We had vegetarian pad thai and it was made in a separate pan. Very vegetarian and gluten-free friendly. For example, they have a separate menu for those items. The vegetable are fresh and cooked al dente. We`ve yet to try the avocado or mango milkshakes but will be going back to try! read more

The first time I had pad Thai was at jasmine Thai Cuisine and that was a good thing as I tried other Thai restaurants and Jasmine is by far the best. I Wish the take out orders where bigger just because of how good it is and for $16 bucks for one order of pad Thai it just not enough food to fill you up but, its so good.
