I love that I didn't have to break the bank for 2 medium drinks (under $11). The workers are going to be TIRED of seeing me getting my boba fix Pictured: - Wintermelon milk tea (50% sugar) with boba super flavorful, doesn't taste like i'm only drinking milk. boba is freshly cooked in brown sugar, which sweetens the drink. tastes exactly like my regular order at gong cha (my favorite boba chain) - Mango slush with coconut jelly vegan

The owners have opened a really great restaurant in an unassuming shopping center. The spices aren't too spicy, the veggies obviously fresh, the rice tasted cooked to order. Thanks owner/staff, I'll be coming back for sure!

We decided to stop at Annie's Ice Cream before heading into downtown Jim Thorpe, and were happy we…read moredid. Annie's is a classic old-school local ice cream shop where you can cool off with a variety of sweet treats. Whether you're craving hard ice cream, soft-serve, sundaes, Italian ice, or Arctic Swirls, they have something for everyone. Even though there was only one employee working when we visited, he was friendly, efficient, and provided excellent service. The portions were huge, which definitely made our day. The biggest surprise, however, was the banana pudding. It was absolutely delicious and made fresh to order with real bananas and Nilla Wafers. The only downside is the limited seating since it operates mainly as a walk-up window. There are a few tables out front and one on the side, but on a hot, sunny day, finding a shady spot can be a challenge. Overall, Annie's is a charming local ice cream stop with generous portions, friendly service, and some surprisingly tasty treats beyond just ice cream.

I got their bourbon honey to try to mix into my hot toddy's like the alcoholic I am... they also had marshmallows and taffy in a jar that said "eat me" which is something I would yell at people in a fit of rage but this was most likely a reference to Alice In Wonderland... Totally loving the vibe of this place. Also, anyone ever notice that this area (Jim Thorpe) seems to have a bunch of churches around here like they were Starbucks but this coffee shop has like three or more witch theme businesses? Like a witches workshop/tower is the last line of defense of a coalition of churches trying to crack down on witchcraft like some sort of Bible theme Avengers? Anyway, this place is great.

Only thing is as someone who eats playa bowls often or bowls overall. The bases of the bowls lack flavor here. I ordered the dragonfruit and it tasted nothing like it and felt like it was puréed. The place was not busy on this Sunday afternoon, but it didn't help that their air conditioning was down on this very hot day. Their refrigeration for all their product was working fine though. Staff was friendly. I had three flavors and various fruit toppings- guava flavor, cookie dough, and I forget the 3rd flavor but I can tell you it was one of the more unusual ones and probably a creamier or lemony leaning flavored one. Maybe something lemony I think. Toppings were mostly a variety of fruit.

I was looking for little sample cups or spoons - I found water cups? My friend saw a container of spoons open on the counter and gave me one. I was about to get a sample when an employee BURSTS out from the back room, immediately gets aggressive with me. It was like I had a weapon or something the way he said "throw the spoon out, RIGHT NOW". He explained that you only get spoons when you pay and that I needed to ask if I wanted a sample, but he also spoke so fast and seemed so angry all I could say was "I'm sorry", "oh ok". I'm an adult and it felt like I was being scolded by a parent lol. And then he storms back into the back room...didn't ask if I had wanted a sample or wanted to purchase anything, just yelled at me and left. So...yeah I didn't buy anything. I'm sure they deal with teens trying to steal stuff all the time so maybe he was just tired, but it was really unnecessary. I definitely dont want to come back now after getting yelled at
