I was really disappointed in this place! I've been wanting to try it since moving into the area and decided to try it. The girl working wasn't really too personable. She greeted me when I walked in and then continued stocking items. She never asked if I've been there before nor if I had any questions. I ordered an iced mocha coffee which was decent. Then I got a bowl, but it was so watery. I ate what I could and added toppings when I got home. It was too hot inside and felt awkward when I ordered, so I ate outside. I really wanted to like this place, but it's a one and done deal for me. :( read more

The folks here are super friendly but the smoothies are entirely undrinkable. They are gritty, they taste like chemicals. They are overly sweet and there is not a single recognizable ingredient in them. What is worse, though is that the inscrutable powders and puddings that go into the smoothies are from the Herbalife line, a multi-level marketing scheme that is part of the same unsustainable, legally-dubious corporate model employed by companies like Amway, LuLaRoe, and NuSkin. These companies make money primarily by recruiting people to sell for them, and often require new recruits to incur massive debts when they first join the company. In fact, in 2017, the FTC mailed checks to hundreds of thousands of people who lost money selling through Herbalife. Honestly, when you taste the smoothies here, there is no doubt that there's something strange going on-- in your mouth and behind the corporate scenes. I had to throw out the smoothie I bought after taking two sips. I have absolutely no intention of going back and supporting a company that preys on people's gullibility, friendships, and self-esteem. I thought this was a healthy juice bar and was so excited to give it a try. I was wrong. Turns out they just sell over priced Herbalife or Herbalife equivalent drinks. Really not great overall. Go down Main Street and you'll find heaps of places that will serve a better $7 24oz drink. read more

The 16oz clean energy drinks are really at most 8oz as they pack it to the top with ice. At $6, it's rather pricy and also deceiving. The cup was still almost to the top with ice when I got home so I refilled it with water which came to 8oz. It didn't look like anything they used to make the drink was actual real stuff, just powders and such mixed with water. read more

This is not the place for a healthy smoothie. They have great and friendly staffs, however that doesn't make up for the fake smoothie using powders disturbed by a pyramid scheme company. Not great smoothies taste bland and chalky, like protein. I ordered blueberry banana and it tastes like cough medicine, however when I went inside and told them I didn't like it they gave me a tea and apologized. Good for post workout protein shakes but not for a smoothie. Tea was good, very sweet and not worth the money. read more

Think about crave like the craft cocktails of heath and wellness shakes and teas, tell them what flavor you are looking for or in the mood for today and they are sure to amaze. Our favorite nearby smoothie place was closed Memorial Day weekend so we decided to check out Crave. I'd been seeing their Instagram posts for a week and the names of the shakes they're advertising sounded good. When we got there we had to fill out a form on an iPad entering our email address and were advised to order a shake and an energy drink (but you can get just one if you ask) and handed a slip of paper to fill out choosing flavors and options. By the Instagram posts I couldn't tell what type of shakes they were serving, but with names like Butterfinger and Fruity Pebbles it sounded awesome. What I didn't realize until after we were there a few minutes was that what they serve are protein shakes and aloe juice products along with energy drinks made from green tea. And that all the products they serve are Herbalife products, which is a multi-level marketing company (MLM). So, from what I understand, all their drinks are made from powders, with the exception of the aloe juice. I thought their juice was tasty. I got the cranberry aloe without the green tea energy since I'm highly caffeine sensitive and have to be very careful with powder energy drinks. After viewing their Instagrams for a week and seeing the shakes advertised and then seeing it listed as a juice and smoothie bar, we did feel a bit deceived after we left. I think their marketing needs to be more clear that these are protein shakes and not regular shakes and there is no fresh fruit (or veggies) in their juice or smoothies, though I think I did see freeze dried strawberries. We're pretty picky about our protein and prefer other brands. We didn't really like the taste of the Herbalife protein or the after effects. The place is really clean and the service is personalized. If you are looking for Herbalife protein shakes and aloe juice and green tea energy drinks for your daily health/fitness routine, you will love this place. I would definitely not recommend anything from here for children (though kids are shown enjoying these shakes in their Instagrams) because of the high protein content in the shakes and the high caffeine content in the energy drinks, unless Herbalife makes a kid's powder I'm not aware of. I'm not sure what rating to give this place. If I didn't feel deceived by what they are actually selling and serving based on the marketing as juice & smoothie bar and not really directly mentioning the MLM affiliation or that it's protein shakes etc. I could give it a higher rating. But I just don't think much of Herbalife as a brand, and we didn't like the taste of the protein shakes. If this were touted more as a stop before or after the gym, it would make sense. But the Instagrams advertise it as a family place and that's not really what I think of protein shakes and energy drinks. So, more apparent marketing and not being affiliated with an MLM I already had a poor opinion of would have warranted a higher rating. If you are looking for all these things though, as I said before, you'll love it. I think the protein shakes at The Maxx are delicious, however. It's like having a milkshake. So it can be done with protein powder, but we didn't feel that way about this place, and that could all fall simply on the Herbalife Protein used. My boyfriend usually thinks everything is awesome, so I was really surprised when he liked the products here less than I did. read more
