My visit was in June of 2026…read more My back and ankle had been bothering me, so I walked in and hoped to get a two hour deep tissue massage. I was settling into a room within 10 minutes. Sofie was my primary massage therapist, and she was very good. She checked multiple times my tolerance for pressure and was hands on for the entire time. Alice took over for the last few minutes because I had cut into someone else's appointment, and she was also very good. Walked out an inch taller, and my back was feeling good. Atmosphere: pleasant room decor, soft music, water sounds. Fortunately, I waited to post this review, because I completely forgot my ankle for a few weeks. The ankle is flaring up again, so hopefully I can swing by again in the next few weeks.

While I've seen several massage therapists at Circle of light over the years, Talea Faircloth is the best; I leave her table with that perfect blend of being completely relaxed (I really try not to doze off, because I want to consciously enjoy every minute ... but ...) and being just a little sore (knowing that she's worked deeply enough to make a difference in my stressed-out neck and shoulders for days to come). Whether you're looking for a relaxing lunchtime one-and-done massage experience or need to establish a therapeutic schedule of bodywork, this is the place to go!

If you're looking for gentle go find a pretend massage. But if you drink plenty of water afterwards then you'll realize the soreness and tightness that brought you in the first place is gone. I particularly enjoy the chair because my back and shoulders get more access in deep tissue. The foot massage is great too. I recommend 30 minutes each. You will not need more than 30 minutes on the body. It's perfect at 30. Usually only bring myself when I'm in pain and tight. Never regret it.

The only reason I went was the convenience of not having to make an appointment, not worth it, my mistake and it won't happen again. Also- as I am being bullied at the cash register I overhear the ONLY other customer complain of how painful it is and asking how much longer- and not in a I want longer time, in a I want out of here.

I visited Woodhouse Spa in December and had a great experience!…read more I booked a prenatal massage with their online reservation system which made it very easy. The decor and atmosphere at Woodhouse is so calming! I would have hung out all day if I could. The massage itself was amazing and was the best "treat" to give myself in pregnancy. The services themselves are adequate and the facility is pleasant, but the appointment process is…read moreunnecessarily burdensome. After booking, you receive a confirmation email requiring a response, followed by a separate intake form. Then come multiple phone calls--one to confirm you understand the service, another to ask the same questions already answered in the intake form, and yet another the week of the appointment to reconfirm attendance. In total, this resulted in two emails and three phone calls for a single appointment. This has happened during all three of my visits for the same treatment, so it is clearly not a new-client issue. The process is excessive, inefficient, and far from relaxing--especially when simply trying to schedule a massage. I have visited other spas, including Woodhouse locations in other cities, and have never experienced this level of repetitive outreach.

I was a walk-in, and they had a room available right away. I went with the 60-minute "neck, back" massage, but it ended up just being a whole body massage (Not mad at all). You start off with a bare back with a towel draped over you. I asked the masseuse for lots of pressure, and she definitely delivered. It started with getting the blood flow going - basic kneading motions around the scalp, neck, shoulders, back areas. Eventually, she moved onto legs, arms, and gluts. Pressure stayed firm the entire time; she was one tough lady! At one point, she even sat on my legs and relieved all the knots, haha! Towards the end, it was more of a Swedish-style with some oil, which was wiped with an amazing hot towel. When I thought my hour was up (It felt waaaay more than that, which is a good thing!), she had me flip over for the last 10-minutes for my shoulder, neck, scalp massage. It was absolutely divine! The technique is much firmer (elbows, arms, hands all go into it), and maybe some people might find it slightly uncomfortable with the glut massage (?) (Used elbows and such); it's very professional though and loosens you up like a noodle! Overall, best massage I've received and it's very worth the price. Will return again soon! :)

There is literally no reason to show up even 5 minutes before your massage, unless you want to be sold something. Second, can you please just stop upselling me? Let's take the massage gun, for example. Like, umm, why exactly would I pay extra for that? I'm seriously confused. First of all, if the masseuse is good, they're going to be a lot better than a massage gun. Second, the massage gun is going to make it easier for the masseuse so I'm a little perplexed that I have to pay extra for something that makes YOUR job easier. But it's not just that. They try to upsell you on everything to the point where it's just weird, awkward, cringe, whatever you want to call it. In the immortal words of Michael Jordan, "Stop! Get some help!" I have to request that I not be sold on anything, and they still do it. But the real issue are the masseuses. They're seriously just not great. Massage Envy is really cheap, and you get what you pay for. Like I honestly don't think the best massage I've gotten there is as good as the worst at other places I've been. I could honestly go on and on about little annoyances I have with this place, but in the end, they're seriously cheap and a bad massage is still good; 3 stars.
