I am a loyal Massage Strong customer, but recently had a massage that didn't quite meet the deep tissue experience. While the massage was still better than other local providers, the masseuse used gloves that just left me with an icky dry skin feeling from the texture of the gloves on my skin. I had a 60 minute deep tissue massage with Leslie. I had been having some tight back issues, that my chiropractor was having an hard time doing adjustments, and a recent slight tear in my meniscus. My back was so tight I could hardly bend over and my left knee was so swollen it felt like a weight was tied around it. I felt like a new person when I left there. My back feels great and the swelling in my knee has gone down. I felt so good the next day I was out mowing, trimming tree limbs and weed eating. I'm going back next week!!!!!!!! read more

So, Massage Strong is dead to me. I love the massage therapists and they do great work, but the business practices are terrible. This is a place setup for more therapeutic active/sports treatments. Their therapists are why they still get 2-stars. I recommended the person I work with to wife and she had a good experience, so I got her a gift card for her birthday. They rotate staff at the desks, so they often aren't there and push you to buy online. I went in twice to try and do it in person so I could get a physical card. Alas, I bought online and went back in to get a card which I finally got. Upon leaving, they text and say she can't use it because I bought it "on my account". It's tough when forced to buy online to then be told your money is no good the way you spent it. They advised they could cancel and I could buy again on her account. I advised that if we cancel, then I won't repurchase. So, they did correct that with a number of texts and frustrations, which I appreciated. I had an appointment today to help with chronic bicep tendinitis, but it overlaps with my annual dermatology appointment for skin cancer screening. I called and texted yesterday about 22hrs prior to the appointment and heard nothing. They messaged today and said I would have to pay because of their 24hr policy. The therapist had no other times today. The person then messages, "well, can you change the other appointment"? It's cancer screening, that's more important, so no. They then tell me I will have to pay for today. They then message me that my card was declined(cancelled due to fraud). I advised that I would go by today and pay, but they wouldn't need my card anymore after that and not willing to pay over text. They then say, "with rotating staffing, we aren't there today, so you will have to go another day." So, now I can't even pay my fine without extra effort and inconvenience on my part. I also work in the ED the rest of the week, so can't go in if I wanted to during their limited staffing hours. Summary...awful business structure, desk staffing, and service recovery. A charge today will like result in thousands of lost opportunity dollars from me down the road. read more

I'm 35 weeks pregnant and was in desperate need of a prenatal massage. This location was recommended and I managed to get in thanks to a cancellation. I booked the 90 minute session and am so grateful I did. The session was very relaxing and the pressure used was perfect. I would definitely recommend this location for massages. read more

I have piriformis syndrome, and while a massage with Ty at the Lexington location, in addition to PT, got it under control in March, I overworked the muscle and it flared up again. Only much, much worse. I saw Samantha at the Brannon Crossing site, and her massage gave me instant relief. She was truly a godsend, I'd been in pain for several weeks but had family in from out of the country and was trying to just power through. Thank you Samantha! A couple days later I got another massage at the Lexington site with Ty, and she was able to complete the healing Samantha started. I am truly grateful to both of them, and to Massage Strong. I knew when I first had symptoms that I would turn to them for help when I could. I highly recommend this facility, Ty in Lexington, and Samantha in Nicholasville, both did me a solid! read more

Such excellent service. There were three of us and we went as a special belated bridal shower gift for my best friends granddaughter. What a very special day it was. I've had several massages throughout my life including one at this location in the past. This was probably one of the worst massages I've ever had. I wouldn't recommend it. I also thought it was very unprofessional for the massage therapist to check you out and stand over you while you pay - I felt pressure to leave a tip and was uncomfortable. read more

I was able to get a walk-in apppintment while visiting Lexington. I was quite sore from driving long distance and scheduled a deep tissue massage. Daniel was very patient in answering questions and he is very good at what he does. I wish I wasn't 8 hrs. away but will remember them when I visit in the future. As a bird photography hobbyist, I have a big and heavy camera with a zoom lens about 8 pounds. Holding that up causes a lot of strain and stress on my neck and traps. I scheduled a deep tissue massage for an hour knowing the last deep tissue massage I had felt like somebody was using zero effort. I had low expectations and high hopes. The opposite is the case here, she almost brought me to tears in a good kind of pain and finding the knots under my shoulder blades and working them out and also finding muscles that needed massage that I didn't know were sore. Josh was amazing and really listened to what I needed. He helped me to understand why certain muscles were painful to massage out and what movements/stretches I can do to help those muscles.
