I came for a therapeutic vs relaxation massage for chronic neck and back issues and wow was I…read moreworked over. It was hardcore but they continually ask you about your comfort and if you're ok with the pressure. I prefer deep tissue because it's medically beneficial for my issues. I was so sore the next day, which is expected with deep tissue, but once the soreness wore off I felt properly tuned up. She battled my rock-hard knots with all of her might an won! I would come more often if I could afford to but the Groupon is a good deal. And they are very kind people and so appreciative of your patronage. They speak Chinese and I used a translation app to properly thank them and they were delighted. Support our community by choosing our local businesses over the big chains.

The most uncomfortable, violating, unprofessional, and chaotic experience I've ever had. The front…read moredesk staff required I pay for the massage prior to service. The staff could not speak English so did not understand that I had already been charged $20 to just book the appt. After the lady at the front desk tried and failed to use google translate to understand me, she had to call someone named "yaya" to translate over the phone. I was then charged $55 dollars (with an additional $5 charge to use a card). When the massage began the masseuse had very chaotic, rushed, and aggressive energy- hitting/ swinging my ponytail/ hair with oil covered hands if it got in her way, hitting my face and ear when using her elbow to massage in between my shoulders, aggressively pulling up and down my underwear, all while heavily breathing and grunting. At one point the masseuses private area was literally on top of my head as she climbed on the table to reach over to massage my back. The masseuse lowered/ raised my underwear so forcefully I thought they may rip. When massaging the glute area the masseuse was on top of the table/ almost laying entirely on top of me, the lady from the front desk barged in and proceeded to have a conversation in Chinese. The masseuse was still on my back, my glutes exposed, with the door wide open during the entire conversation. I felt extremely violated!! During certain parts of the massage if I hadn't quickly pulled the small towel to cover private areas (my chest, privates, and backside) they would have been completely exposed. There was no care taken to accommodate boundaries I was comfortable with. This was the complete opposite of a relaxing experience. I was very tense, afraid what line they may cross next. At the end of the massage the masseuse stopped me to ask for tip. I told her that I had a bad experience. She looked at me very confused. I strongly do NOT recommend a massage at Wei Spa. I am a regular customer at Sunshine massage off nicholasville rd and would highly recommend for an all around better experience there.

While I've seen several massage therapists at Circle of light over the years, Talea Faircloth is the best; I leave her table with that perfect blend of being completely relaxed (I really try not to doze off, because I want to consciously enjoy every minute ... but ...) and being just a little sore (knowing that she's worked deeply enough to make a difference in my stressed-out neck and shoulders for days to come). Whether you're looking for a relaxing lunchtime one-and-done massage experience or need to establish a therapeutic schedule of bodywork, this is the place to go!

I had my first visit there today and used a groupon, and there were some positives and some…read morenot-so-positives. First the good. Susan is delightful, very friendly and professional. Her place is easy to find and it very nice inside. She uses quality products and her technique is very good. The face massage felt really nice. Now the not so great. This was the first facial I have ever had that did not include any work on neck or chest, and I've had many. When they say "facial", they really mean only face. No attention anywhere else. The time that the mask was on, I laid there on the table for what seemed like an eternity with nothing else happening. Usually there is a hand massage, a shoulder massage, or I've even had a foot massage during this time. It seemed LOOOOONG. After that, it was over fairly quickly. The groupon said there would be an eye treatment, but there was nothing specific done to my eyes unless there was a particular product on the pads over my eyes, but that wasn't mentioned. She did suggest a series of peels 3 times, but I'm not interested. Overall, it's clear they know skincare here, but if you're like me and looking for the bonus of feeling like you're really being pampered, this isn't the place.

It is located near bars & that later somewhat impacted our experience. We had to ring a buzzer & call to get in which was a small inconvenience. Once we took some stairs we entered a very beautiful & eclectic space. Rooms were really nice & couples room was spacious. Tanya and the other massage therapist that performed my husband's massage (I cannot remember her name) were super friendly & down-to-earth. Great personalities & gave us valuable info on what we could expect from our experience. Room was brighter than I'm accustomed to for a massage, but once we had our heated eye covers it was no problem. Heated neck pillows & beds were great touches as well. Tanya was great & used many tools & methods that were new, but very enjoyable. We were super relaxed & could have floated out of there afterwards! Only issue was I could here the bar music over the music they were playing in our room during service. My husband didn't care for their music selection & said it was a little to fast paced for him. I would recommend this location & will come again but will be more strategic with times (way before bar busy hours).
