It was both awkward and off-putting. What made the experience even more disappointing was observing other customers in the store, who happened to be white women, being treated with courtesy and respect. The difference in treatment was hard to ignore, and it certainly left me questioning why I wasn't extended that same basic courtesy. As a Claremont resident of nearly 15 years, I enjoy supporting local businesses. However, I also believe that every customer deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of who they are. Needless to say, I left without spending a dime, and I have no intention of returning. Beautiful merchandise means very little when the atmosphere makes you feel unwelcome. We had the best time here tonight! This place popped up in my Instagram feed while we were on…read morevacation. I was thrilled to see it was located so close to our home! Such a great concept! I bookmarked it because I definitely wanted to check it out. They offer fun little ladies nights where you can burn/decorate a hat and offer line dancing lessons to go with it! There was also a coffee vendor onsite. My girls and I wanted to check it out so I bought our tickets online for tonight's Cowgirl Social event. The line dancing took a little while to get going, so we grabbed matchas from the coffee vendor and they were incredible. The line dancing was SO fun! What a great teacher! Everyone here is so nice and helpful. We were given the option of the flat brimmed, cowboy or trucker hats. We each went with the cowboy hats. They were a little limited on colors since we were the second session, but we each got one we liked. You go through their stencils and iron on the artwork you choose. Then you use the soldering iron to burn the artwork into the hat. It was honestly so fun to burn the designs into the hats--kind of therapeutic in a way. I wanted to add some "bling" to my hat once I was done, and my youngest daughter did too. My oldest was happy with just the burning. The embellishments cost extra above the workshop price. The shop is also really cute with a lot of cute clothing and items. Such a fun place! We are already talking about coming back! Thank you, Dani!
