We were welcomed and seated at a table with a nice view outside. Service was attentive but not overpoweringly so. Menu was in French but I was able to muddle through it with some help and the final choices were superb
Appetizer was a foie gras sandwich... It was exceptional. Seared liver in a triple decker French bun with green crunch and smoked duck and parmesan cheese. This was such a surprisingly delicious combination of complex flavors and texture that I would have been satisfied with just that as the meal! An absolutely phenomenal dish.
The entree was grilled John Dory (John Dory). The fish was presented before cooking and whole after cooking. It was then filleted and shared with lemon and olive oil and was accompanied by green vegetables which were fresh and steamed. The flesh was flaky and firm, and the whole dish was executed perfectly. What an experience!
