The best massage I've ever had. I have rebooked several times and I always leave in a more relaxed state.

The front office receptionist was sweet and provided a warm disposition. Next, I got settled in by providing my driver's license to exchange for a lock box with a key. Finally, I was directed to the space that had lockers, bathrooms, rooms for changing clothes, etc. I simply put my belongings up first, since I was informed I would start with my massage first. I opted for this package in advance: 50-Min Massage & 2-hour Bathhouse utilization. This offering was priced at $140.00. My appointment was set for 2:00 PM sharp. I went to the Green Room, where all massage reservations were held. The massage therapist that I selected online for the booking was Michael. Michael was incredibly wonderful. His techniques put my entire body in a state of rejuvenation. I almost wanted to fall asleep because the entire massage was so comforting and met expectations. Next, I proceeded to the entire bathhouse. The entire ambiance was filled with a lot of peace and tranquility. I was going between the warm pools and doing the cold plunges, as well as stepping into the steam room. There were moments when I also relaxed on the lounge chairs. The key was also to stay hydrated. Water was readily available with plastic cups, and guests were able to bring their own water bottles inside, too. The two hours went by so fast, because of how much I truly enjoyed this self-care day to myself. I'm so grateful that I discovered this business. I can say that I am completely in love with the services and offerings provided at Asha Urban Baths. The overall value was well worth it. Undoubtedly, I will be returning whenever I need another day of pure relaxation. I will be spreading the word!

I did the couples float. Here are my take aways: -I have weird ears and should bring my own ear plugs so the water doesn't get into them. They do provide some, just not ones that worked for me. I struggle with water getting into my ears and could not relax fully because water kept going above my ears and the head float did not help me either. -I will never do complete dark again- as someone learning to manage mental health, it felt as if I was going to be sucked in to the middle of the open ocean. No, it isn't perfect, and there won't always be ten hot guys ready to blow you, but it is a very clean, friendly, and well managed business. Like every bathouse timing is everything, and you'll need to figure out the best time to visit which may take a few visits... but this place is very inexpensive. Things I like: The facility is well kept. Great mix of patrons. Great flow thru the building with some hidden nooks and crannies. I love the elevated glory hole viewing/sucking area. Very open and welcoming vibe. Friendly and attentive staff. Lots of booths with gloryholes. Large and open main play area. Things that could be better: The place seems a little too well lit, would be nice to have a little darker atmosphere. The music doesn't set a very sexy mood and the volume is too low. Better lighting in parking area. And finally... I'm not sure the men in Sacramento understand that this is a place where you can let go and express yourself... it is shockingly quiet with a lot of men just constantly cruising... even when guys are having sex they don't make a sound... this just seems odd to me but I'm very verbal and expressive... maybe it's because Sacramento is overall very conservative...?

There were 10-15 other guys there during the course of my stay. Not bad considering the time of day. Between showing off what I had to offer under my towel and being "fresh meat" for some obvious regulars at the place, I got a lot of attention very quickly. I played extensively with 3 guys, all separately. The crowd was as mixed racially as Sactown is and the average age was 50+. For what it is, this place is solid: it's clean and offers a decent play space. There are bigger baths out there that offer more elaborate amenities and play spaces, but that's just not Sac Buddies at this time.

Normally, customers are not allowed to bring electronics and devices past a certain point because the whole concept of the bathhouse is to unwind and step away from the busyness of everyday life. It it absolutely necessary to do so at times and this place truly helps to relax and reset. Urban baths Folsom is the first franchise offshoot from the popular Asha Urban Baths in Sacramento (which is also a great place but that's for another review). Guests check in and go into a coed changing area to lock up their belongings and change into something comfortable (swimsuit or another water outfit). Shoes are provided, towels can be rented for a nominal price. Once changed, with all electronics squared away, one may then enter the bathhouse. The main room is wheelchair accessible and contains both a massive warming pool and a smaller pool to the side that's much colder. The idea is to repeat a process that is proven to be very beneficial for the body--soak in the warming pool, sweat in either the steam room (pictured while it is off, but this room gets VERY steamy) or the sauna (smells so good in there!), and then cold plunge in the cold pool. Guests can repeat the process as many times as they would like. There are showers for rinsing off sweat before going back into the pools so if a cold plunge isn't your thing, you can turn the shower water a bit cooler and rinse off that way too. There are also lounge chairs and big bean bag chairs for people to sit in and converse in library-appropriate voices. The bathhouse isn't the only activity. There is also a sound immersion or a salt lounge experience. I've done the salt lounge and it's a very relaxing 45 minute session with two hour access to the bathhouse after. There's also a massage experience one can book--again, the bathhouse is there for once the session is over. I personally love this place. The staff are so friendly and the aesthetic really does make a person feel they have stepped away from the world for a time. I like being disconnected from my phone. The water temp is always perfect for me. The scents and the music and the ambience are just what I need to get away. It's great knowing such a nice, female-owned gem is only just down the road for me to visit whenever I feel life becoming too overbearing.

My boyfriend and I came from Oakland to both do a Steam back in late December for my birthday. I originally put down a deposit for a party of 4, but my girls couldn't make it so he went with me and the owner was so accommodating when I called to tell her day of. I am so happy that I went because it was more than just a steam experience, it was like a spiritual experience as well. Bambi facilitated our experience and she was just so dope!!! Her introduction was everything my partner and I needed to hear about this spa/act of self care and healing. It was sooo good that I purchased 2 gift cards at the end for my mother and my sister (I still need to nudge them to go). Pros- I didn't feel cramps and noticed I didn't pms for 2 cycles after my period Cons- it was a lil too hot (but technically that's not up to them. you can easily give your self as many breaks or steam for as little as you want and I think for my first time I forced myself to stay put with my legs up the whole time thinking I could reap more benefits and it was a little OD lol) and my vagina felt a little dry for 2 days after but then everything was back to normal I will definitely be back when I'm in town. Booked us both an 80 min massage and then I was going to get a facial. I booked online, they called me back hours later around 4:55 to get a credit card on file, by the time I called back they were closed no biggie I call them back the next day. The phone does this weird ring thing and no one answers and the call drops. I try calling from my husbands phone, same thing. They call back sometime later apologizing and saying their WiFi was down so their phones were down. Not a big deal. Also their saltwater jacuzzi is out of service. Not ideal but not the end of the world bc we can use the hotel pool. Fast forward to a week later, I'm checking in early and getting the tour and find out that not only is the jacuzzi out of service but their sauna is too. Le sigh. I get my massage which was not relaxing (the masseuse was nice but moved really fast the whole time, except on my forearms) Hard to enjoy someone vigorously rubbing your back for 80 mins. No biggie, bc facials are always slow and relaxing and this next part will help calm me down. My esthetician wasn't ready when I got out of the massage (was still setting up) so I grab a snack, go to the restroom and tell my husband to enjoy the hotel pool. He pays and then goes to the pool. Facial time! I get in the chair and a scratchy hair protector was put on me and she proceeds to wash my face and put on a quick enzyme mask. That's the first time she steps out the room. I'm not thinking anything of it. She eventually comes back, wipes off the enzyme, and then proceeds to tell me that her heart rate is raising high and she needs to drop it, and I was like ok no worries. I was another min or two and then ask, hey should I get someone? And she says yes I'm having a medical emergency please grab my manager. So I step off the table naked (hoping no one is looking lol), grab my robe, see her lying on her back on the floor with legs elevated on her stool, then I run into the hall and say hey esthetician name is having a medical emergency and the manager and receptionist rush in. At this point I'm calling it and decide to cut my losses and go to the pool. Get the bikini on and am about to walk to the pool when the manager comes back in to ask if I want to continue the facial! I'm concerned this girl is going to pass out on me while I'm on the table, no thank you. She prob needs to go home! Why are you trying to have her work some more when she literally had a medical emergency, so I decline and ask again "is she actually ok?" Am told yes and then offered spf. At that point I go to the pool which was another horror story for another day. We return maybe 1 hr 45 mins later and are then told we will only get a partial refund bc the service was almost over, which I am not sure if this is accurate bc I was naked on a table with my eyes closed, not staring at my watch. At this point my flabbers are gasted. My bday was lame. I would expect a spa anywhere to offer a refund for a service that was not completed due to not fault of my own and if they really wanted to be nice, provide a credit to come back and actually experience a proper facial and jacuzzi. Or even offer to pay for a drink! Long story short, don't recommend coming here.
