Came in for an oil change and was greeted by the friendly mechanic at the front desk. I was quoted $60 (synthetic w/ labor and included free multi-point inspection) and 30 minutes for the job. Additionally he replaced my cabin filter and air filter for $15 each. The total time was actually about an hour but the price quote was honored upon pickup. The little waiting room is relatively clean but no frills. Bring your own entertainment. The mechanics were polite, friendly, and I learned they have been at this location for 19 years. I think I'll be back since the price was competitive and the people were nice. I'd just recommend taking the time estimation with a grain of salt. **The "24.95" for an oil change sign in the photos on Google have since been covered up, so don't expect that price.**

Customer service is great and they offer expert services for deals far better than any dealership or other mechanics I've gone to. I took my 98 Corolla in for a check engine light and misfiring issues. After performing tests, I received helpful explanations and photos of the issues found in my vehicle. Before performing any additional tests and services, they checked in with me to confirm which I really appreciated. Services were done efficiently and they communicated promptly throughout. I will continue to bring vehicles to this shop because I trust their expertise, value their customer service and appreciate the good deals!

If you need an honest, knowledgeable, and fairly priced auto repair shop near Gold River or Rancho Cordova, I'd definitely recommend them. They've worked on my 2017 Ford Transit Connect, 2014 Mercedes GL63, and 2014 BMW X5. They replaced a driver-side CV axle, did oil changes, replaced brake pads and rotors, diagnosed and fixed an A/C and heater blower issue, repaired a trunk/liftgate problem, and also replaced a valve cover and gasket and battery. What stood out to me most was how knowledgeable, honest, and fair Samson and his team were throughout the process. The staff are friendly, the front desk is welcoming, and the customer service has been great. It's hard to find a shop that does quality work at reasonable prices, but 916 Auto Repair has done that for me. Definitely recommended.

I was having issues with a strong exhaust smell in the cab of my…read more2013 Chevy Equinox, and was in search for a trustworthy mechanic to take a look and hopefully repair any problems before an upcoming SoCal roadtrip that I was taking with my family. I used Yelp to put a blanket request for the Sacramento area, and Stress Free Auto reached out right away! I was able to take my car in first thing the next morning and was greeted in such a friendly and warm way. Knowing they had a few jobs ahead of me, they called a niiiice Lyft and made sure I got home free of charge! From there the communication was excellent. There were continual texts that provided information about their progress not only with searching for the main problem, but also a general overall inspection of my vehicle. Once complete they sent me an estimate, I called to coordinate which things I wanted repaired/addressed, and they sent over a finalized quote that I signed immediately. It was quick, informative, and quite literally stress free The main problem was a cracked exhaust manifold. Seems like an extensive repair, right? Well, they let me know later that afternoon that they were done! Amazing same day service! Absolutely incredible. It's been a month since the repair and I haven't had any issues. So, in my book, that's a job well done! The only small gripe I have is the cost. Again, it was same day service, so it's understandable that I might have paid more than I would have at another local shop, but they did offer a discount on the initial inspection cost. Some other shops roll the inspection cost into the cost of repairs, but unfortunately Stress Free doesn't do that. Plus, a couple of suggested repairs were somewhat of a laughable cost. If memory serves, they quoted me around $60 to replace wipers. I'm not sure if it was a quote for all 3, or just one, but I spent $15 on a wiper on the way home and installed it myself. Whatever, they are trying to make money! Despite my small price gripe, I will be using Stress Free in the future for any vehicle concerns I have!

Please see below the word-for-word email I sent to the founder to discuss privately what happened and what I'd like to see to make things right. This email was sent 12/18 and as of today 12/30/25 I still haven't heard back from them on this email or my broken tail light, which has been broken for over a MONTH. Unfortunately it has to now be brought into the public view, hopefully this will get some movement. "Hello Yinon, I found this email address on one of the cards left in my vehicle and appreciate you keeping this avenue of communication available to us customers who don't believe the visit(s) to Stress Free Auto were very stress-free. I brought my truck into the Arden location on 11/22 for a coolant leak and ended up needing a good amount of work done, not a problem. I accepted that work to be done but that's where the frustration started. There was very little communication to me as to the status of my truck and when exactly it was supposed to be ready. At first I was told Monday 11/24 at 10am but only after I called in to ask and received a text back Sunday evening. Then, when I went to pick up the truck on Monday morning (which I took work off for) I was told it was not ready yet and they wouldn't know what time. So I had to drive my wife to work in her vehicle and use it for the day which really threw off our schedule. Next, I showed up around 4pm and was told yet again it was not ready. Finally I received a text at about 5 it was done, went in to get my truck and was informed one of the technicians shattered my back tail light. Although Naomi at the front desk was apologetic and promised to repair that damage, no offer of discount or money off my very significant bill ($1700) was given (not that I'm in the habit of asking for that sort of thing) but I thought ok, they'll bend over backwards to get this repaired - as of the date of this email, I still have not had this repaired. Then, in the middle of all this, my check engine light came on. I took it in on Tuesday 12/9 to check on that issue as well as inquire about the tail light. There was a different person at the desk and once I told him what was happening with the tail light and the check engine light, I was expecting at the very least a free code read so I'd know what the issue was but no, I had to make an appt for Thursday 12/11. When I took it in then, Naomi, who I had been dealing with all this time even mentioned her confusion as to why Charles, the man at the counter on Tuesday, didn't do that when I was there. Next, turns out the issue with the check engine light came on needed a good amount of work done so I dropped another $1200 to get that repaired but again, I think I got a discount on the diagnostic but nothing further and yet another excuse about delays with the tail light. Again, I am not in the habit of writing bad reviews or asking for discounts or free things, I honestly am very understanding for all customer service as I worked in that field for a good amount of time and sympathize with the stress they're under. But this has gone on unresolved too long not to say something. I appreciate you reading this long note and hope we can come to a solution very soon.
