The service is great quality, and not overpriced. If you're looking for an honest mechanic he's your guy.

I am sending him a demand letter (see pictures) today and am prepared to follow up with a complaint to the Bureau of Automotive Repair and file suit. Other work was ok, but not problem free. I see that the owner responded to my review. My friend did indeed work on my brakes. He replaced the rotors and the brake pads. He didn't touch the hydraulics. Sunrise Auto did the work on the hydraulic lines for the left front wheel brakes. The failure of my brake system occurred because the brake line work was not properly done. Sunrise Auto placed the flexible brake line where it would rub on the inside wheel well, ultimately causing a break in the line and a failure of hydraulic pressure. As I said, this botched repair job put my son at risk of serious bodily injury or death from traveling in a vehicle with no brakes. Here's my personal message to you, Peter. You evidently ignored my demand letter because I didn't receive payment. The next step is the Bureau of Automotive Repair. And after that I will pursue other legal remedies. I hope the readers of my review and your response will take heed and will take their business to another mechanic who performs reputable work.

Prices were much more reasonable in comparison to dealership. I was informed of the costs prior to any work being done. This is my second time trusting stress free auto with my car. They did a wonderful job on my break repair service last year. I was kept updated and informed of their work progress. I would encourage them to continue with the updated communication to customers as it does help ease your mind. I would recommend this business.

I wanted to love this place. The text updates, the photos, the digital portal where you can select…read moreor defer services with a click - it's modern and convenient. The waiting area is clean, there are snacks, coffee, places to charge. The people are friendly. They do a multi-point digital inspection where they send you a photo of everything they checked, whether it needs service or not. That's genuinely cool, and it's included when you have service done. But you, the customer, are absolutely overpaying for that service, and I believe that's where the cost of all that technology lives. For my 2019 Subaru Crosstrek, I was quoted $763.49 for front brakes and rotors, $707.48 for rear, and $150.39 for cabin and engine air filters. They also recommended a brake fluid flush at $244.95. With tax, over $2,000. I looked up what these should cost. Brakes and rotors on my car at an independent shop run $600-1,100. The flush should be $90-150 - even a dealership would charge around $180-220, still less than their quote. I called five other shops, all within a mile or two. Every single one was under $1,000 for brakes and rotors. The shop I chose did brakes, rotors, and filters for $592.73 - less than half of what Stress-Free quoted for brakes and rotors alone, before tax. This wasn't an isolated incident. My synthetic oil change was quoted at $127 - meanwhile, the fair price for my car is $75-90. They only came down when I called and mentioned a competitor's pricing. You shouldn't have to negotiate a fair price on something as basic as an oil change. The last time I was here, they put a branded license plate frame on my car and told me it'd get me $20 off my next visit. That $20 was never applied. It's a promise they didn't keep, on a car they branded for free. And as long as that frame is on my car, I'm driving around advertising a shop that overcharged me on every service & basically telling everyone I'm a sucker who happily overpays for things. I removed it the second I got home. Their transparency did help me, just not in the way they intended. Seeing every item priced out made it easy to compare. Once I did, the gap was impossible to ignore. The technology is nice. The people are nice. The inspection with photos is cool, and it's free. But you're paying for it, and what you're paying is two to three times what honest shops - or even dealerships - charge for the same work.

SpeeDee Oil Change & Auto Service - Great location..

SpeeDee Oil Change & Auto Service

I rarely write reviews of oil change shops cause there are many out there that either don't know…read morewhat they are doing or they are just out to make a quick buck. I use to work on high end cars....Porsche, Ferrari, BMW...etc.... (20 plus years but as I have gotten older my back is not the way it used to be when I was in my 20's so I know when a mechanic is talking to me about what needs to be done on my vehicle...unlike my wife that will just say yes to everything :) so I look out for her and my family when a repair is needed. First I want to thank Anthony, Emmie, Miguel and Spen who took hands on from the beginning to the end. My Jaguar F-Type was in need of an oil change and not much shops were open on Sunday. This SpeeDee shop was. So many bad mouth small oil change shops but I will always give them a benefit of a doubt when I drive in with questions to the service conductor to get a feel IF they know how to follow instructions without pressure of up-sales which I got none. As a retired mechanic myself, the key to making sure the work is done properly is taking time to do it right the first time and NOT rushing it. Anyways, I brought with me my K&N oil filter, two special blend 5 gallon Castrol 0/20 weight oil and instructed the service conductor what I wanted done. Told him I wasn't in a rush so take your time. There are 20 small bolts to remove the skid plate under my car for an oil change which I hated. I heard the mechanic removing the bolts one by one. Ate my lunch that I brought and ate it in front of the shop and listen to the mechanics communicating with each other working on my car but I was not watching them. I felt confident enough from their conversation of what they were all doing to my car. 45 minutes later oil change was done. Paid the bill and started my car, no warning lights so its good to go. When I got home I inspected underneath my car to make sure the undercarriage was properly secured as when I brought it in which it was and I also checked to make sure the proper level with my oil was installed. Everything was good. Saved me a bundle from what the Jaguar dealership wanted for an oil change ($590). Cool honest people and great service.....hands down. My honest opinion ......it takes the right crew and knowledge of the one servicing your car.....speed has nothing to do with it. Taking their time to do it right the first time is the key to quality service. Thank you again and I will be back in the future.

First of all, they refuse to provide us with a printed estimate of the work that needs to be done…read more Secondly, they gave us a quote and said that's the full price out the door. When we paid, there was a surcharge which they said was because we used a credit card. Not a great experience overall and it's too bad because we've been coming here for car repairs for over 15 years or so. Not motivated to come back in the future.
