    Hibachi Shrimp
    April H.

Looking for something food wise that would neither break the bank nor get me food poising, I ran into this truck outside of Cornell medical center. There were a good number of people waiting, and they were making things to order, so I figured it sounded good enough to try. $8 or less gets you a hibachi or teriyaki plate with veggies- I got shrimp. It was ready quickly, and I took it back to the hospital where I ate it. Both portion and flavor exceeded expectations- I wasn't a huge fan of the rice per se, but that also wasn't why I was getting the dish to begin with. I guarantee you're not going to find a more reasonably priced, tasty lunch in the area. If I'm back again around lunch time, I know what truck to look for!

Ughhhh this place is SO GOOD. Pretty sure it's been in the area for a while but it just caught my attention recently. I finally gave it a chance and wow, I was missing out. I feel like there's not much variety in the Asian options in the area (though it seems to be slowly changing)... like, sometimes I just want something more low-key and comforting for lunch and this totally hits that spot for me. The food is delicious, affordable, well portioned and feels pretty healthy. I've already been twice this week and will likely go back again very soon. I highly recommend getting the hot sauce on the side - it's a perfect addition... great flavor, not overly spicy.

The platter comes with perfectly seasoned chicken over rice, along with fresh lettuce and tomatoes. I got the famous white sauce and hot sauce on the side so I could add as much as I wanted, and both took the dish to the next level. The chicken was flavorful, tender, and paired perfectly with the rice. The portion was generous and incredibly filling, making it an excellent value. Everything tasted fresh, and I honestly enjoyed every bite. That said, it was so good I could probably eat two platters! The line was long, but don't let that discourage you it moved steadily and was absolutely worth the wait. Whether you're a local or just visiting NYC, this is one of those iconic spots you have to experience at least once. it!

Since this is a NYC staple and it's been so long, I knew I had to come again this trip. I ordered a chicken shawarma wrap as well as a beef platter. I thought the wrap was very good. Very saucy, and tasty, however, I just found the platter to be a bit bland. It almost felt like it was missing something. Also I think the portion sizes definitely got smaller. Overall it was a solid meal. I don't think I'll be rushing to come back, but I'm glad I was able to experience it again.

Half the spots nearby had already shut down or had lines I wasn't about to stand in, and this truck was right there, lit up and moving fast. Got the two-meat combo over rice. The guys inside don't waste time. I had my plate in a few minutes even with a couple people ahead of me. Chicken and beef both came out hot, and the rice underneath was fresh and fluffy. Ask for the extra spicy red if you want to suffer a little. Portions are big for the price. I walked away full and happy. Fries are the one thing I'd skip (they go soft quick), but with the meat and sauces all over the plate I didn't care. If you're out late and everything else is closed, this is the move. They open at 7:30 and stay open well into the night, which is exactly when you want them. I'll be back the next time I'm wandering around starving after midnight.

Great white sauce and hot sauce with a wonderful fresh salad that is full of ingredients. Love how the add the extra spice on top to top it off. Friendly and good service. I'd definitely come back.

We were just looking for some tacos and stumbled upon this place and we're so glad we did! We're from the west coast and they surpassed any expectations we had. With the tortillas all fresh and made by hand, the grilled to perfection carne, and toppings of guacamole, salsa, cilantro, and onion all blended together so well. If you're in the area definitely put it on your agenda! There was a line but it goes quick and the food is worth the wait! It is a casual, standing only dining area but the whole concept makes sense. For a quick in-and-out taco "stand" but in restaurant form! If I'm ever back on East Coast I will be making another trip here!
