Very sweet lady who served us. We stopped for gas and my wife wanted coffee. Stop here and they even had some muffins for the kids!

Coffee was fresh and service was good. No seating but nice small town business. Lima is an awesome layover on trips.

Opal Country Cafe - Our breakfast

Opal Country Cafe

If you're looking for food between Dillon, MT and Idaho Falls, ID, this place is a great stop. We…read moreweren't sure it was open anymore because we passed a lot of closed-down businesses after we got off the highway and before we got to the cafe. Also, the building is mostly an opal store and mine, so the cafe part wasn't readily apparent to us until we saw the tables in the rear of the building. The menu is simple with the stalwart breakfast and lunch/dinner dishes and sandwich offerings. The menu prices very reasonable. My wife and I had breakfast here. I had biscuits and gravy along with a cinnamon roll. My wife had the breakfast burrito. My biscuits tasted freshly made and the gravy had nice chunks of sausage in it. The breakfast burrito was on the smaller side (which my wife appreciated) but it was less than $4 and was very good. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Clean restrooms and 2 gas pumps if you need to fuel up your vehicle. I'm glad we made the stop.

Don't be fooled by other people's photos…read more The food here has dramatically changed, apparently. We came in and looked around and they told us "we don't have hot food, we only have cold sandwiches, and you can't eat them inside". The told us that if we wanted hot, sit-down food we should go to the place on the other side of the highway. We did, and, it was closed. (I chose this place using the Yelp app because it was the only place open on Monday in the area. ) So we drove another hour to Idaho Falls for food. The opals looked cool though.
