Thin crust and crushable, but still sturdy with substance to it. The cheese/traditional sauce was flavorful and outstanding right out of the oven piping hot. I got half pepperoni, but in my opinion this pizza is so good it needs no help with toppings. Next time I will stick to a plain cheese pie and might try the sweet sauce. I highly recommend skipping the takeout if you can and eating this there in their cozy restaurant right out of the oven. Perfection. For context, I'm a pizza snob and tough grader. My local faves are Sabatini's and Pizza L'Oven in Exeter pending what style I'm in the mood for. Whistle Stop was outstanding and every bit as good as the best NEPA has to offer. I'm not a score guy, but if pushed it was easily 9 out of 10. On the Portnoy scale, I bet he would give it mid 8's. Maybe upper 8's or better.

Started with stuffed long hots no bread. Kept asking for it but it was always in the oven. Never came out. I had the crab soup. Gritty and thin. Didn't even come close to finishing it. Mom got chicken noodle. More like celery broth. Husband had chicken Milanese. chicken was good, up charge with pasta instead of potatoe they got the sauce wrong. Dad got the seafood with penne. He never even came close to finishing it. It was terrible. Last but not least my sister had just the brusetta. Bread not even warm and topped with what looked like American. Also didn't eat it. We have been here before the fire and it was wonderful. Never again. Fool me once shame you fool me twice shame on me. If I could give it any less than one I would.

My picture is a mini thick sweet, and that's exactly how you order it. Calling Angelo's is a journey, they are operating off of a single land line so you usually have to call 2, 3, or seriously on busy nights or a Friday during lent 20+ times. From there you tell them the size, crust type (regular or thick), sauce type (regular or sweet) and then any toppings. Be prepared to wait at least 30 mins, but in many cases over an hour. While this sounds like an awful experience, it's certainly worth it. This pizza incredible. Last time I stopped by it was cash only, but there's an ATM.
