Specifically, he has helped me to manage chronic illnesses related to auto-immune conditions such as severe gastric issues, alopecia areata control, and weight management to name a few. At Dr. Parker's office, integrative and personalized wellness plans are taken to a whole new level with consultative care and genetic testing! Highly recommended for anyone who desires an increased quality of life, or anyone who has felt under-served or forgotten by general practitioners.

DO NOT... I REPEAT DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS DOCTOR!!!!!…read more Chances are you are looking into going to Dr. Parker's treatment center because you are at wit's end and incredibly ill. As with most (including myself) that are unfortunately in this predicament, you probably have exhausted all financial means including yours and your loved ones to find the solution to your health issues. After seeing a slew of experts from Neurologists, Cardiologists, to Endocrinologists, I knew my last effort was to try an alternative school of thought. I went to this treatment center hoping to find an answer to why my health was spiraling out of control and declining at a rapid rate. I had severe neurological issues (ranging from loss of memory, stuttering, to horrific neuropathy pain). With an exorbitant price tag of $30,000 and 3 months of IVs (8 hours a day/3 times a week), testing, injections, supplements, and prescriptions... they diagnosed me with a Degenerative Neurological Disease, Fibromyalgia, and Peripheral Neuropathy. Shortly after leaving the center, my health declined very rapidly indicating that their "treatment" was only keeping me afloat and not getting to the root of the issue. Dr. Lambert Titus Parker and Integrative Longevity Institute of Virginia elongated my recovery because he had not done necessary testing which would have alerted them/me to the underlying issues to my severe neurological issues: MERCURY POISIONING. Bottom line: I had an acute case of mercury poisoning. Dr. Parker never checked for mercury poisoning even though he claims to specialize in the treatment of metal toxicity and chelation. (Mercury Poisoning can be discovered with a relatively simple blood test). Due to excessive IV therapy with caustic fluids and not using proper protocol, my veins are now sclerosed and destroyed. He caused undo suffering, pain, loss of work, and potential permanent damage. He charged exorbitant amounts and did not provide proper care or attention. I hardly even got to speak to Dr. Parker about my care. I was given second hand evaluations via the Medical Director (and was billed the $400 hourly rate of Dr. Parker) HE CHELATED ME WITH A POISON SOURCE IN MY MOUTH...HENCE DOING MUCH MUCH MORE DAMAGE! A physician's number one duty is to find the source of one's illness. NOT BANDAID IT with months of IVs, injections, supplements, and prescriptions. This was poor sloppy treatment and is a disgraceful representation of other integrative doctors. If you are reading this message please, please don't go to this center. There are many other doctors out there that can and want to help you.

Due to the immune problem, I need biweekly sub-q infusions and a local doctor to prescribe - and to see me when I become ill. Got an appt with Dr. Koenig about another issue & he told me that he was prescribing 4 meds. Only 2 were rec'd by pharmacy. I found Dr. Koenig to be incredibly personable, easy on the eyes, and thorough in his initial evaluation. He actually reviewed my previous medical records, and made the offer to have a courier transport my serums over to the Norfolk office for me. Thanks, Dr. K!

Unfortunately Dr Riedler can have a condescending tone and doesn't seem to take the time to…read moreunderstand complex/multiple issues. This Dr may be okay for annual medicals and non-urgent bloodwork, however changes to your health that need quicker attention turn into a problem. I tried using the "MyChart" to communicate issues and changes in my symptoms (after a hospital visit) however responses to the conversation were suddenly "turned off". When trying to get a follow up visit the office is overwhelmed and I was unable to get an appointment until August (currently 4 months away). Communication with both the Dr and staff of the current location (First Colonial) can feel like you are interrupting their day with your issue(s). Prescriptions issued during discharge at the hospital needed to be refilled and Dr Riedler informed me that I needed to return to the ER where they were issued. I contact the Dr's team that initially prescribed the medications and they informed me that my PCP needed to handle any refills. After contacting Dr Riedler with this update I was informed that I now needed to contact the vascular doctor who I saw in the ER. After speaking with the vascular team they also responded with your PCP is the Dr who should be handling this. I'm caught in a loop and Dr Riedler office manager informed me this morning that Dr Riedler will not continue prescriptions issued by another Dr. I feel this statement should probably be disclosed during your initial consultation with a new PCP so that you can make an informed decision in your future health needs.

I'll spare you the details except for this last visit (on a Monday). Went in with sciatica. I was in extreme pain, couldn't stand straight up, and had to stop several times to rest between my car and his office. He said sciatica and prescribed prednisone. We discussed pain killer/muscle relaxer but nothing prescribed. He said his #1 priority was his patients. He said to call him if I needed anything. Well, the prednisone didn't do much. I couldn't sleep at all due to pain. Moving around the house and doing basic tasks were impossible. Called his office Tuesday and nurse said that she would talk to the doc and get back to me. Nothing heard. Called again Wednesday at 7am when they open and again at 1200. Same response from nurse. Nothing heard back. Called Thursday again with same message from nurse. But they finally called back late Thursday and said the Doc doesn't prescribe pain killers but will prescribe muscle relaxers. I picked up the scrip Thursday eve and had first dose At 6pm. No help whatsoever. Pain was still terrible so went to ER Thursday night. Hadn't slept all week. PA at hospital said to stop the prednisone and prescribed Valium and ibuprofen. It works! Doc Amabile isn't worth the effort and his staff seem unorganized and uncaring. I am curious if he will call at some point to see how I'm doing but I highly doubt that will happen.

Also, his nursing team is great - if you are scared of needles - don't be at his office as they are all pro's and you barely, if you even do, feel a thing during blood draws and injections! He and his office are all very LGBT friendly and he is very conscientious of LGBT Health. My husband and I appreciate this and are more than comfortable in coming to his office. I found the tidewater medical center online. I called and made an appt the same day. It's in a business building and I kinda expected it to have their own building and not share it with real estate company, but I guess that's all they could get. The entrance is very plain and nothing for kids. Once I got there the receptionist was very nice and answered any questions I had and even helped me with the paperwork since I was sick and trying to take care of my son at the same time. She quickly had me seen. The nurse I had was very sweet and caring. I think I saw Dr. Little. He explained his diagnosis to me and how he could help me. He was very informative, very kind, and patient. My son is one and it's hard to do anything with him lol. He quickly prescribed me some medicine and I was on my way to the pharmacy with a doctor's note. I think I'll continue to go there.
