They gave my daughter too much peanut treatment for her "challenge". As her face is getting puffy and I am trying not to lose my cool, I asked sarcastically if they were going to give her meds?? Dr. Moss goes, "do you have Benadryl in your purse?" I looked at him in disbelief and quickly got my Benadryl and gave her two children's Benadryl. After 30 minutes, she STILL wasn't getting better. I went to the nurses station and let them know she wasn't getting any better. They gave her an adult Zyrtec and told me just be patient. As I am fuming, they don't even come to check on her until I opened the door wide open and flared at each person who walked by. This is not the only issue. They were fantastic before covid. NOW, we have YET to have an appointment go ON TIME. They are LATE every time with HORRIBLE service. Every person is disgruntled or seem as if they don't want to be there. Their customer service went to hell. I do not plan on going back and looking at options to report to the military. If they go back to how they were, that would be great but the last year has been a nightmare with them.

They said that because Dr. Deebo had retired that I had to be seen by a different doctor. Fine no problem. Happy to see a different doctor however, I shouldn't have to pay another co-pay for another interview with the same practice. For reference I'm wealthy. I understand that doctors retire, no problem, but to charge a patient to see a different Doctor who was going to provide the same amount of information. When I questioned their billing practices,I was told that I was rude and they asked me to leave. However, the week of her first appointment, I received a text stating there wouldn't be a provider in that day. I called to reschedule, which pushed the appointment out an extra month. The day of her appointment, the assistant couldn't read the doctor's writing of what lab work needed done. Dr. Saffold was currently with another patient, so she told us she'd send an email after speaking with him. That afterward we can go to any Sentara location to have it completed. This added additional driving, paperwork, and time for us. Later that day, I picked up her RX and didn't understand the directions on the label because they were worded wrong. It took several days for someone to get back with us. The week of her follow-up appointment, we received another text stating a provider wouldn't be in and her appointment would need to be rescheduled AGAIN. No one EVER answers the phone. Every single time I have called, I have had to leave a message and play phone-tag with them to speak to an actual person. It has been well over 3 weeks and I have still yet to get my daughter's follow-up scheduled. She is out of the medication that was prescribed. Our pharmacy has reached out to the office and the refill has been ignored. Grateful I never canceled the CHKD appointment because we will not be going back. My daughter is autistic and the experiences we've had with this office have been added stress that is unnecessary. I have worked for doctors and am experienced in healthcare. The lack of follow-through and carelessness from this office is embarrassing.

After suffering for four months with allergies so bad that I couldn't sleep and was crying myself to sleep every night... I found Coastal Allergy and was so excited because I thought I'd get answers. Rave reviews made me hopeful. The people on the phone were nice when I scheduled and the ladies at the front desk were amazingly sweet when I came in; the nurse that did my vitals and checked me in was amazing as well. That's where it stopped. I talked to the nurse longer than I talked to the PA. I met with the new PA, Aimee Byman, and I've never felt so dismissed in my life. I showed her the pictures I've been taking for four months, documenting the progression, severity, and pain -- I noted the date and times on each photo. She skimmed through them, didn't even bother to finish. Couldn't feign interest either. All I got, after MAYBE five minutes, was "eh... it doesn't look like allergies. Go meet with a dermatologist then come back if they can't do anything. I guess I can prescribe this cream though." I went back to the car and sobbed in the parking lot for 30 minutes. I thought I might finally get relief, but I felt more dismissed and confused than before. I met with a derm that told me to cut out a couple products because the chemicals were exacerbating what was happening. But guess what? While some areas are not as severe, I'm still waking up with swollen eyes and itching so bad that it's making me bleed. I'm still missing work or having to come in late because I wake up feeling like my skin is on fire. The last pic of my eyes was taken 8/13/24. Still an ongoing and excruciating issue. I will be disputing the $60 copay. I don't think less than 5 minutes of "eh, go see a derm" and me then crying my eyes out in the car should result in having to pay a $60 copay.

For example, for most of my visits to this location and all to the Virginia Beach office my injections need ten minutes to sit out before administering, so I expect it/it's not a big deal...this office randomly changes it to fifteen minutes AND wants me to call now before I come in. Mind you they're never swamped when I come and seemingly well staffed. There have been times when my medications have not arrived (delayed shipping/etc) and they didn't call or let me know prior to my appointments thus, wasting my time driving here and little no apologies. If I didn't have to use this location I wouldn't, if my doctor wasn't so caring and amazing I would've switched to another office lot ago. The one star is for the nurse that normally does my injections is a sweetheart and at my most recent visit the nurse that was giving me attitude and need up being my injector and dropped the attitude after she called me back.

FIND A BETTER ENT CLINIC!…read more ABUSIVE STAFF AND CARELESS MANAGEMENT/OWNER!!!!!! I came to Chesapeake Bay ENT clinic for a procedure not performed at many ENT clinics, so I did not have many other options. To this day, I have not had a follow-up after my procedure because of their abusive staff!!! During what was supposed to be my follow-up, while explaining my symptoms and complications after the surgery to the 'ENT practitioner' I noticed she was looking at me with a disturbed look on her face so I asked why she was looking at me that way. She did not take the question well, although I was being serious and up front, she then violently launched her tools on the metal table and started screaming. I had no choice but to walk out, she ran after me. While speaking to the receptionist, the 'ENT Practitioner' continued to make a scene, screaming, while I was attempting to ignore her and continue to speak with the staff. She would not stop and was completely out of control! The LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM was appalling. Especially, coming from a supposedly health care professional!!! It took me FIVE WEEKS to write a review because I have been waiting from a call from the owner of Chesapeake Bay ENT, Doctor Scott Saffold. After speaking to his assistant and explaining the situation, I was assured he would call me back. His lack of concern for my experience is the reason I would not recommend ANY CHESAPEAKE BAY ENT location and why I am writing this review. When you do not hold your staff to a high and professional standard, I question your integrity to your practice and treatment of patients. There is NO EXCUSE for what I went through and it reflects on you. ONE POSITIVE: Doctor Meakin! Doctor Meakin is great and cares for me as his patient. He was knowledgeable and always treated me with respect. Unfortunately, having one positive does not make up for the abuse and lack of attention from the rest of the staff. Doctor Meakin performed my procedure and will see me one additional time after the incident of abuse at Chesapeake Bay ENT. He is the only reason I rated this review with a TWO STAR, because otherwise it would have been 0 or just one star. But due to the abuse I went through, I could not rate any higher. There are too many choices of ENT clinics in the area to justify choosing Chesapeake Bay ENT. Also, the procedure I had, is now slowly being offered at other locations, such as Naval Medical Center Portsmouth.

It may actually be considered a part of the campus since the Norfolk General complex has been completely "built out" on the original side. The Fort Norfolk location is quite easy to access from most areas in the Southside. Having nothing to do with the building but appealing to my love for history, the area is named for the neighborhood's fully restored War of 1812 era original fort that's still sits overlooking the Elizabeth River as it enters the Harbor. Fort Norfolk protected the Norfolk side with Fort Nelson protecting the Portsmouth side. The latter sat on the current site of the Portsmouth Naval Hospital. Sadly, that fort no longer remains, History lesson completed. This is a quite convenient building for those of us who can't walk long distances from parking areas to medical building entrances. The attached parking garage is free if your ticket is validated at the medical practice you are visiting. On each level there are a few Handicapped spaces directly adjacent to the glass enclosed elevator entrances. Seating is available in that area. I've never had a problem finding a space in the parking garage, which offers a picturesque view of the Elizabeth River. The building is filled with medical practices & support facilities. Most offices that I've seen are Sentara practices, I've had wonderful care at Sentara Cardiology Specialists, Sentara Advanced Imaging Center & Sentara Sleep Center. This Medical Center is quite convenient & affords easy access to both parking and elevators. I would highly recommend choosing a medical practice located in this Fort Norfolk Center.
