buckle your seat belt…read more I brought my 7 year old son into the store to buy a baseball bat. They have a cage for you to try out the bats. My son fell in love with one of them. The employee near by said that she could offer me the bat at a discount since there were no others available in the store. She asked her manager. This manager, Brandon, had zero customer service skills. He never said hello to me, didn't make eye contact. He said, "nope you can't buy that because it's probably available online" If this is Dick's policy, okay. It's a stupid one. I may have said, barely above a whisper, "that's bulls**t and you know it." Then he stepped up to my face and began berating me about my parenting skills. What?!? We then went to a nearby dick's and they at least 20 of that bat. (Would have been nice to be told this by instead of "it's probably online") ive worked retail - when you are out of inventory, you can buy the floor model. Further, they had at least 50 youth bats n the cage (all with prices, barcodes, etc) and, get this, 4 youth bats in stock. The policy aside, the rudeness was completely unacceptable. (Btw - here is a picture of the number of bats, same type, at a store 2 miles away.

Just got off of the Maumee River with Hunter, great experience! I opted for a shorter 2 hour trip…read morefor something of a refresher course. Hunter contacted me within a few days of making a deposit and kept in constant contact while waiting out the weather and my work schedule. We met at the selected time and place and after some brief conversation we headed to the river. River fishing is very new to me. We talked how how to wade safely especially on the slippery and muddy conditions and how to safely wade unfamiliar water. We got started by Hunter evaluating my rig then watched my casting offering tips and suggestions throughout. We discussed different methods from streamers to nymphing as well as how to fish riffles or not. All in all I feel I got a tremendous amount of info from an experienced angler that I could ask questions as they came up and not just a YouTube video. The best advice though was to get out and do it! I felt as if I was fishing with my brother! Thanks Hunter!

Called up this camping world and were able to get in two days later. They did an excellent job of diagnosing the leak and correcting it. Was a line that went to our outdoor grill. This is a true story…read more We took our RV to this service department for a shower pan replacement. During that repair, they cracked the top half of the shower surround, which they were supposed to replace. One month later, we have simply been told, "Sorry, it's still on order," leaving us to deal with and complete that repair ourselves. Even more seriously, during the shower pan replacement, the drain was not reconnected. We unknowingly took approximately a 20-minute shower, sending an estimated 60 gallons of water into the basement/underbelly of our RV. This resulted in multiple trips of approximately four hours each way, significant time away from work, and an enormous amount of stress trying to make sure our RV was properly inspected and repaired. Because our factory warranty had only about three weeks remaining, we made one very simple request: stand behind the consequences of the drain they failed to reconnect for one year. Water-related damage does not necessarily reveal itself immediately, and we wanted reassurance that if a problem related to this incident appeared later, we would not be left paying for their mistake. We did not ask for money. We did not ask for anything beyond them standing behind the mistake they made. I was then told our situation was being "escalated" to a higher level and that someone would contact us within two or three days. It has now been a week, and we have received zero response from anyone regarding that escalation. Unfortunately, the problems did not end there. When we later arrived to pick up our RV during heavy rain, the main entrance door and a basement compartment door were left open. There was standing water inside, and it took four bath-size towels to dry the saturated areas. Mistakes can happen. What matters is how a business responds when they do. This could have been an opportunity for the service department and Camping World to take responsibility, communicate clearly, and restore our confidence. Instead, every additional incident--and now the complete lack of response to an escalation--has made that confidence harder to restore. We sincerely hope our experience leads to improvements in workmanship, quality control, communication, accountability, and the procedures used to protect customers' RVs while they are in this dealership's care.
