The employee near by said that she could offer me the bat at a discount since there were no others available in the store. She asked her manager. This manager, Brandon, had zero customer service skills. He never said hello to me, didn't make eye contact. He said, "nope you can't buy that because it's probably available online" If this is Dick's policy, okay. It's a stupid one. I may have said, barely above a whisper, "that's bulls**t and you know it." Then he stepped up to my face and began berating me about my parenting skills. What?!? We then went to a nearby dick's and they at least 20 of that bat. (Would have been nice to be told this by instead of "it's probably online") ive worked retail - when you are out of inventory, you can buy the floor model. Further, they had at least 50 youth bats n the cage (all with prices, barcodes, etc) and, get this, 4 youth bats in stock. The policy aside, the rudeness was completely unacceptable. I had a very nice young lady helping me, but it went wrong when I went to try on some leggings. Another associate took it upon herself to take over. She told me how brave I was for coming into the store. She shared her experience of losing a lot of weight and showed me her belly, basically trying to make me feel comfortable about my imperfections. A comment or two I could have brushed off, but I felt that the conversation about body size just continued. I had walked in just looking for a good pair of leggings not at all feeling out of place. Just because a woman wears a Large and may not fit the fitness industry's standards of an ideal body does not mean that I am not healthy or active. The associate thought she was being helpful but made it very awkward. Please just stick to answering the questions of your patrons.

The staff was extremely helpful when I was looking for sizing I didn't see on the shelf and offered to order it for me if they didn't have any in the back. They also helped by starting a dressing room for me and taking all the clothes back for me. They were folded so neatly and waiting for me when I was ready to try them on. I am not a huge outdoor sportsman by any means, but it appears Bass Pro has a good selection. With as many people as there were in the store, they must be doing something right. I would say the value is decent based on prices paid for items purchased. Customer service is good as staff seems knowledgeable and always willing to assist.
