Really great customer service…read more I have been here 2 times, both times looking for a specific type of shoe. Though this place seems to cater mostly to runners (which I definitely am not), each time I was greeted and helped by a very pleasant employee who was very patient with me as I tried to ask for something about which I know almost nothing. Both times I was carefully fitted for the right size in the right type of the right shoe. The conversation went well beyond "What activity and what size?" into my posture and the angle of my alignment from my knees to my ankles to the ground. The shoes here are pricey, but I believe it was worth it to get the experienced sales staff to ensure I came away with the best shoes for my needs and my body.

Everyone there is very knowledgeable and helpful. They work hard to find you what you need and they handle indecisive people well ;) Finding the right pair of shoes is important, and I appreciate that they go the extra mile (pun intended). Plus, it's locally owned. Buy local!

It is clean and well-stocked, but the thing that sets it apart for me is the service. It astounds me the way the manager always remembers every customer's name and when and what pair of shoes they bought. I used to do lots of door-to-door sales and my dress shoes would get beat up and kill my feet. When I finally got sick of destroying garbage shoes, I came here. I explained my situation and the manager found a pair of leather dress shoes for me. I may have spent $100 on these shoes, but I have saved money and my feet in the long run.

We both love this store…read more We started going here after the first time I'd bruised a heel, being told it was going to take months to heal, and wanted a pair of shoes to deal with the pain. I explained my situation and they had me try on a pair, which I promptly bought for how good they made my foot feel. We've been going back ever since. It's simple shopping. They're not cheap in price, but if you want a good pair of shoes from people who provide great service, this is the place!

Everything here is high-quality, and even though the prices are higher than someplace like Payless, you're getting a better deal in the end. I told the clerk why I was there and he immediately said he'd knock 10% off whatever I bought ... because he felt bad about me getting poor-quality shoes from OTHER stores! That pair is going on six months of being worn every single day, and they look just like they did when I bought them. If I'd stuck with one of the chain stores, my second pair would be coming apart at the soles right around now. A classic example of "it costs more and it's absolutely worth it." You will spend much less on shoes over the course of a year if you shop here, and you'll have much less hassle to deal with.

They have you put inserts in shoes they have at their store. So it feels different because you have inserts in new shoes you have never worn before. If you do decide to buy these be ready to pay about $1,500 for the three insert set. They will tell you that they will call you in a month to follow up, but they don't. The inserts do work if they give you the right size. You might have to go back and get different sizes though depending on the skill of the person who sells them to you.
