Despite the busy holiday season we decided to list our single family home for sale in November 2012 before Thanksgiving. We hired Janna after reading her reviews on Yelp. Throughout the entire process we received ongoing support, timely and professional services. We have tried to sell this house one year earlier with a different realtor and the house was on the market for almost 4 months without a good offer. This time we received ten offers within the first week of listing with Janna including cash offers. Unfortunately, the first buyer we chose was unable to come up with the money in the required time frame so the sale fell through escrow. In the meantime, Janna took care of all needed inspections, etc. Within another week after that we again had several offers including cash offers. We were able to sell the house for more money than expected and close escrow before the Christmas holiday. Job well done! Janna is the best! I was a first time home buyer and she helped me with everything I needed. She connected with me quickly and understood my needs and expectations. Janna was very patient with all my questions. What I absolutely liked was her honesty. For example, I understand that the market is in high demand and even though I really wanted to settle for a home, she told me that if I didn't love it then we should move on and keep hunting. She is very efficient with her clients time and is very prepared every time we see houses. I work an 8 to 5 job and we were able to squeeze in around 5 houses every time we had an appointment. Janna takes the recommended houses from her clients and also lets her clients know when a house she thinks they will like is listed. The home I purchased was from her recommendations. She definitely tried to understand what her clients likes and dislikes in a timely manner. She also doesn't disappear after she helps you find house. She gives honest recommendations such as carpet cleaning and other household encounters from her experience. Her and her team were truly wonderful and I was very blessed to work with them. I was surprised how much we could accomplish before my closing date, which was approximately a month. If I were to purchase another house, I would definitely work with her again! Seemed great at first, that changed without a doubt....we felt very rushed when looking through the home...we weren't walked around or anything...we did it on our own (in my opinion you always want to show someone around a home). When it came to getting paperwork in I guess you could say it was rather easy, wasn't fully knowledgable about Military documents (which every real estate agent should be...I mean there are sooooooo many military personnel around, and just because you aren't on or next to a base doesn't mean you won't run into them). We ended up renting the Townhome and were very rushed to get there with the money. Everything seemed to happen on her terms and through text messages. When we recieved the keys we were told to do the walk through and come back down and tell her any issues....once again she should have done the walk through with us instead of stand there. My husband and I came back down and started listing things that were wrong and needed to either be fixed or noted, we were then told word for word "only major things need to be wrote down". So the kids markers all over the railings didn't need to be wrote down, or the fact that serval light bulbs were burnt out, there was dog poop all over the back along with trashy buckets and broken flower pots, the place was lightly cleaned and the carpet definitely wasn't and you could tell by all the paint on the carpets, and the shower that was leaking something firce. Not to mention no carbon monoxide detectors...and the gas ended up not even being on in the house. She continued to tell us about a survey she was going to send and how she would love great reviews because HGTV was wanting her on their show (kept saying this over and over), we never got the survey nor did we ever get documents that she claimed she would send, and we've been in the Townhome for 2 months now, but oddly I get something in my email about her needing reviews...haha very comical. We just moved to CA from KS and we didn't know any cable companies, gas, electric etc. no list was ever given to us, no list of rules from the HOA was given nothing, we were like sitting ducks having to figure it out on our own. Needless to say the property manager and owner have had to come back several times due to things that could have been done when she was getting this place rented. We felt and feel like we were just another number. I'm sure she is a great person but I would never rent or buy from her again and definitely wouldn't send anyone her way, obviously everyone has different experiences but ours was horrible. Please stop harassing me Janna! You sound like a stalker by saying my other reviews are negative on other pages, when they aren't! I continue to recieve emails about you changing your comment on this review, please stop! My husband and I recently moved into a beautiful home thanks to Janna. Although we are renting and did not buy, this place makes us feel like we bought a home. Janna was professional, honest, and answered any questions we had. She gave helpful tips and pointers in the leasing process. She was on top of everything, she even did the leg work for our new landlord's listing realtor (who didn't really do much and kept screwing up). I recently had the opportunity to work with Janna McRoy to sell my parents home after my father passed away. Working with Janna has been AMAZING!! I'm thrilled that we were lucky enough to work with her on buying our first family home. When we were out at an unsuccessful house visit, I mentioned a property I was curious about, thinking she would be able to show it to us in a day or two. Nope- we were in that night and we loved it so much we put in an offer and got a great deal. If it hadn't been for Janna's quick working, we would have missed out on the home that was perfect for us. Just closed a short sale with Janna 10/30/2012 (BofA first, GMAC second; HAFA with no defiency judgements from either). i have no reservations recommending Janna to help you with your short sale. She works together with a negotiator, Gabby, which I think helps greatly. From start to finish took about 5 - 6 months to complete. Janna answered all calls/emails/texts in a timely manner. If she didn't know the answer offhand, she was able to research it and then get back to us. Doing a short sale is stressful, no matter your situation. I recommend reading and educating yourself as much as possible. But it is always a good thing to have an great agent and negotiator who know what to expect/is expected to help guide you through the choppy waters. Hands down. . . Best realtor we have used! Before listing our home we searched reviews and interviewed several agents before deciding to work with Janna Piper. Janna is by far the BEST realtor/broker that we have ever worked with. She listed our home on a Friday evening, received a call a little later and scheduled a showing for the next day. Janna has outstanding marketing and advertising skills. She was confident when we met her that she would probably have our home sold in less than two weeks and stated that she may even sell it for more than the asking price. SHE DID BOTH. Janna definitely is ALL that she said she would be and then some. She was very respectful of our time, she remained in constant contact with us, she addressed every concern and request that we made and is extremely hardworking and committed to her clients. Maybe she is a good agent at finding a home for you to buy, but she was definitely not great at selling our home. She was sarcastic and unpleasant to talk to. She made comments that was not necessary and made me feel stupid for calling her to find out the update on the status of my home. When she first met with us, she told us that she had a high success rate in selling homes within a month of it being marketed and that she was very aggressive with selling homes. She made it sound too good to be true. We had ours up for over a month and no offers - the next thing you know, she is not answering calls and saying things like "for a mother, you sure have a lot of time to call me all the time." Then she starts to say that our neighborhood is a slower area and will take more than a month to sell etc. I just didnt' feel comfortable with her and did not see the results from what all the other people had said about her. Definitely her knowledge is only in the Rancho cucamonga area. If you are not selling or buying in Rancho Cucamonga area, don't count on her sell/buy your home quickly - as her knowledge in other areas are very limited. read more
