The lighting, the displays, the textures, the way the clothes are styled... it all feels intentional and beautifully curated. It pulls you in. You want to be the woman who lives in this store. And then I try things on. This is where my "problem" begins. Anthropologie, along with its sister brands Free People and Urban Outfitters, designs for a feeling more than a body. The pieces are soft, flowing, relaxed, and often oversized. They look incredible on the hanger and even better in photos. But on me, it's a different story. Many of the pieces lack structure. They don't define the body, they don't shape you, and sometimes you're left feeling like you're wearing the idea of an outfit rather than something that actually works in real life. It's not that the clothes aren't beautiful... they are. They just don't always translate in a way that feels polished or intentional once they're on. And that's where the frustration comes in. Because every once in a while, I do find something that works... and when it does, it really works. But getting there takes effort. So why do I keep coming back? Honestly... not always to shop. I come back because walking into this store feels good. It feels inspiring. It feels like stepping into a version of myself I wouldn't recognize Even if I don't leave with a bag, I leave with an idea. . that extremely thin thread is enough to bring me back again

Now it's a miracle if you could walk out without spending 300.00 or so on an outfit. Don't get me wrong, they have some fun and beautiful pieces but even basic pieces are a little steep. Regardless, they're going to do well as the place does have a good clientele. Fun pieces and cute decor and accessories will alway do well.

I came in today looking for workwear and some travel appropriate dresses. This Macys isn't really my go to Macys but again, after a really good experience I'd keep in mind shopping this store again. I primarily shopped the INC woman's wear space and then went to try on some clothes. Kudos that the dressing rooms were clean and clear of excess clothes. Easy to spot too which was nice. I did happily find a nice dress for Europe and some workwear clothes and made my way to the register. Biggest shoutout to staff Israel who was working and helped me out. He was such a lovely gentlemen, so positive and friendly. Loved talking to him and just felt he brought such a joyous great vibe to our checkout experience. He was talking to multiple of us while ringing us up and acknowledging customers in the line. His attitude just made my day and I appreciated how helpful he was and personable, he didn't make it feel like a "cold" emotionless check out experience which sadly has sometimes become the case when shopping retail. Israel is a 5 star employee and next time I'm shopping I'll definitely keep a lookout in the register for him because he was a sweet guy yet very professional. Good work Macys.

I'm a bit shopping-phobic, and Piper in Idyllwild made me feel as comfortable as could be. They carry a really fun, eclectic selection of clothing, and though I didn't find anything to purchase, my partner did; a really pretty, unusual sweater that fit perfectly. When we got said sweater back to where we were staying in Palm Desert, it wasn't until my partner tried it on (and removed the tags, naturally), that we realized it had a hole in the back that would very quickly have unravelled. Fortunately, when we went to the La Quinta shop, we found the same sweater, and were able to swap it out very easily, no questions asked. Great selection, and great service (with a particular shout-out to Piper in Idyllwild!) Thanks for a great shopping experience!
