Excellent Customer Service by Greg--I was returning a shirt and didn't have a phone number associated with me. He astutely suggested to " run my card" that was originally used-- he found it! And I not only did I get reimbursed-- I found a better item from Tommy BAHAMA-- which was $20 more expensive. A win/win if there ever was one. But the Superstar was Greg-- who was an excellent reflection on the Nordstrom brand. He was affable, had an outstanding attitude and exemplified customer service. The Rack Room was fully stocked for fall with new lines from great designers. There was also a clearance going on with dresses from all seasons in all sizes. I was happy to give it a second chance because the one thing I did get here last time was a luxurious throw that I have kept by my side through many a chilly evening, which washed beautifully and has held up well which shows the quality counts. I explored the whole store and still feel like some of the prices are very high, but if you search there are still many bargains to be found! read more

First time at this Nordstrom Rack location on Town Center Way at Palm Desert. We're so glad we stopped by just to check and see if they carried the specific sneakers my daughter was looking for and needed in a short amount of time. We sure found it here. Great customer service at this Nordstrom Rack location on Town Center Way in Palm Desert. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and welcomed. When paying for our item we were asked if we found everything we were looking for. The gentleman was kind and even wished us well and told us to enjoy our 4 day stay. He even recommended a nice Italian restaurant. We definitely tried and dined at that restaurant. It was delicious! Thank you to him for such a warm welcome, excellent customer service and great restaurant recommendation. Sadly, I didn't get his name. He was wearing glasses and wearing a really pretty and sparkly broche with dogs on them. Now we know about this Nordstrom Rack location will be sharing our experience here with family and friends that frequent Palm Desert like us and like to shop. Nordstrom Rack has unbeatable prices on top-of-the-line fashion. In addition to great clothes for men, women, boys, and girls, they also have children's toys, fragrances, and some jewelry. The clothing is very well organized. This shows the store personnel really care. The people at the register are also great. On my last visit, I notice the really good men's clothing was mostly "slim fit." Alas, that's not me. However, I'll be back soon as the selection and inventory is always changing. read more

The service sucks they don't know how to put the correct price selections are wrong and the value are expensive for little stuff

12/09/2022: I had purchased a robe online and was going to pick it up by my house. Then i realized I'd be in Palm Desert that weekend. It was very easy to change the delivery location. I went to the easy-to-find pick up desk and gave the associate my name. It took him awhile to find the robe: it actually was in the back stockroom. i was in no rush but the overall wait was not more than 10 minutes. This store had to be the most well maintained of all the stores I have shopped at for Christmas. Having worked as a retail executive for years, I know how difficult it can be during December. I asked for a manager and complemented her and the staff on such good organization. read more

Oh it was fun to check out this place. There are several other stores in this area too. I found a cute top for my 10 yr old great granddaughter. I was looking for boys size 8 long sleeve dress shirt for boys. No such luck for dress clothes for boys! But most items were sport related. Not a lot of children's clothes. read more

Let me start on a positive note. I am extremely satisfied with the selection, cleanliness, and tidiness (so organized!) of your location (5 stars). However, I am extremely disappointed with the cashier's, Shadow, unfriendly, curt service. I might have chalked it up to him being in a bad mood, but I had witnessed him being friendly to the male customer before me. He also politely asked that customer, "You have $40 in Nordstrom notes. Would you like to use them?" This question prompted me to wonder if I had any notes. Aside from this cashier's lack of cheerfulness or even breaking a smile when it was my turn to be assisted, he also neglected to remind of my notes. Once he told me the total for my purchase and I inserted my credit card, I thought he would ask me about my notes like he had his previous customer, but he didn't, so I quickly asked, "Do I have any notes?" My question came too late for his swiftness because he replied, "I saw $20." However, he had already proceeded with my transaction. He didn't offer any recourse/remedy but instead handed me my receipt barely looking at me and halfheartedly mumbled, "Thanks for coming in."I was dumbfounded. From the start: from his irritated expression as he shook his flag to show his readiness for the next customer to him handing me my receipt, I am dissatisfied with his "service." I would give him negative stars if possible. Such a terrible way to be treated upon patronizing this business. What a terrible representative for your establishment. read more

My review is strictly for the dressing rooms. Otherwise the store has a huge selection of great items at deep discounted prices. I always find something I like and in my size. Now for the dressing rooms, this could apply to so many at other stores as well... and it has to do with the lighting. The lighting is TERRIBLE! I went in to try on a bathing suit and I almost ran out crying. My skin tone was horrible, I looked super out of shape and just felt horrible about myself. Good thing is I purchased the bathing trunks anyway and tried them on again at home in nice, normal soft lighting and wouldn't you know it, it was someone else in the mirror. Please, whoever is in charge of dressing room lighting, you'll have more sales if the customer feels good/sexy/attractive while trying on clothes, and that comes with appropriate lighting. Getting there: Located in the shopping center right off the 111 hwy in Rancho Mirage, there is plenty of parking in the lot out front however it can get full pretty quickly. Experience: I always like to pop into a Nordstrom Rack to see what goodies I can find at discount prices and this one did not disappoint. I walked out with some Nike slides, and some top of the line makeup. For my Urban Decay all-nighter ladies, you can find them here for a discounted price. They also had the infamous Charlotte Tilbury airbrush spray that was sold out, of course. This is definitely a good location for some goodies. read more

Another nice department store in Palm Desert!! They were having their Clear the Rack Clearance sale and wow they had a lot of merchandise on clearance as well as their regular mark down items. It's one of the bigger Nordstrom Rack stores I've been too. I will be back to this one too!!! read more

My 11 year old daughter and I visited this store last night. While shopping in the shoe section, a store employee (older gentleman with glasses) came over to where I was and said something like "yes, they are back here in shoes" into his headset as if responding to another employees inquiry qs to out whereabouts. Since we were the only African American family in the store, I was taken back and disappointed to hear that we were racially profiled. I don't understand why that employee made it a point for me to hear his response into the headset. He could have discretely acknowledged where we were. The experience was hurtful, disappointing, and unnecessary. read more

This is a pretty good location and the only one in the Palm Desert area. Clean, bright and well stocked, tons of sales and a long line at check out just like any other Rack. Go to any of the employees in green and they can ring you up without having to wait in that long line. Worth a stop to find great deals on designer brands. read more

This is a beautiful store to find many great buys. The mens department has many brands you don't often find with incredible shirts, ties, pants, socks, shoes, etc. The women's section takes up 3/4 of the store with a huge selection of fine womens wear. I went there to shop for some new heels nothing in specific they were having a sale so stopped by. The guy in the shoe department was SO SWEET!!!!! He was giving me feedback on the couple shoes i tried on & not just an employee being nice he literally was honest. It's not a bad store, but the lines are absurd and always have been. Holidays are especially worse, winding into the women's section to get in line. The straw that broke the camels back? No return area! Now you have to wait in line 20 minutes to return any item. So I waited 20min to buy the shirt, and 20 more minutes to return it. 40 minutes of waiting is simply absurd. I won't be back until the holidays are over. read more

We were just there with my disabled daughter and we were kicked out of the store because she is unable to wear a mask. They need to retrain their staff on the ADA guidelines and those that are disabled and unable to do so. We kept our distance, she was not going near anyone and posed no threat to anyone. Will never go again and will be sure to tell everyone I know and who love my daughter the treatment she received today from the staff.... I realize there's a pandemic but as long as everyone takes responsibility for themselves and their families, life has to go on. She deserves her right to live her life too. read more

I love Nordstrom, not Nordstrom Rack. Nordstrom goes above and beyond to help customers without giving them any fuss, making themfeel like they're falling a scam or something. I purchased a cologne at Nordstrom's, and the lady at the fragrance department suggested that if I didn't like the fragrance, but I could return it at any Nordstrom or Nordstrom rack store. The only one by my house is this one and I was standing in line because he gets quite busy at 11:30 in the morning and I get help by Mauricio V in the first question out of his mouth is let me ask my manager if we can take this in as a return? He acted like when you go to Walmart to buy something. He doesn't embrace the war the Nordstrom culture he should go back and learn it unless he's new, and he doesn't know any better management should pay attention to this type of behaviors from their employees specially from a reputable brand such as Nordstrom. read more

Never coming to this store. I came today Saturday November 10th and there was a long line. I waited 45 mins to check out. Once I got to the front of the line I saw a gentleman go to the front of the return and pick up line. The cashier a white gentleman with tattoos asked the guy if he was checking out. The other gentleman nodded yes and the cashier proceeded to ring him up. Completely unfair as there was still a very long line. Horrible display of customer service. Never coming again. read more

The manager in this store is so un-professional, unreasonable and she should be working elsewhere. I bought a pair of Badgely Mishka boots with crystal embellished heels online to wear New Year's Eve, which I did. Worn once!!! Accused of wearing several times, I did not. The crystals are falling off the heels after a one time use, yes I wore them. When I took them back today, the manager didn't even offer to repair, pay for the repair, in fact she told me to buy another pair. Zero managerial skills Delilah!! The online customer service rep did give a return authorization however and I will be getting a refund. The manager should be fired. 50 years shopping there and I get an inexperienced, nasty girl who treated me terrible.Shame on the rack for hiring this incompetent person. Shop at off saks in the desert. The shoes were defective and they did take them back at a different store. I won't be spending anymore time at that filthy unorganized store. They need a new person to manage the store. A new person might also bring happier staff to work the registers. Follow up to the reply, the shoes were defective and therefore were taken back for a full refund at a different store!! Service is very good but for man the selection sucks. Upgraded version of Marshall's. Every time I have been in here the shoes are mainly from China or India. I know that their stores carry the Italian stuff. I thought that the rack was mainly for a stuff from the main stores. So how come I don't see that in any of the Racks. I think they are trying to compete with TJ Max , Marshall's and Ross. Use that Nordstrom label to get the people in. Better of just going to the store and paying a bit extra or go up Marshall's and pay less. Marketing gimmick. read more

I am a local and often shop at this location. I like the store but the customer service could use some improvement. At the fitting rooms the lady working there was rude to me. Maybe because i dont fit the usual Nordstrom demographic and because I'm younger which is still no excuse I am a customer and I should be treated with the same respect as any other customer. My best friend and I both have experienced similar situations at this location. This is a great company and love shopping there but this is something that has been bothering me.
