I've been going to Janet for about 11 years and what she does works! I do go back to her for the occasional touch ups due to new hairs in new places sprouting out of no where (thanks to getting older) and she is always so welcoming and accommodating. read more

I'm honestly still shocked by this lady. I was trying to make an appointment and she asked me if I've been vaccinated. I say yes, because I get the flu shot too and the flu started just like covid without the internet to scare everyone... she sent me a message saying she's choosing NOT TO TREAT vaccinated people. Yes you read that right. I said, that's discrimination and it's flat out ridiculous. She told me to do my "research". Yes.. because she did hers and I'm sure 10 years of medical school she went to and she's also a scientist at the CDC gives her the authority to know what she's talking about. She reads all the junk on the internet but doesn't believe the science or DOCTORS. So... if you really need electrolysis, you'd better lie and say no you haven't done the responsible thing by getting vaccinated I'm good, I'll find someone else to give my money to. read more

Janet is friendly, gentle, and efficient. The office is very clean and orderly. IMO treatments are moderately priced. She is professional and follows careful sanitary protocols. I am very comfortable recommending her services. read more

I have been going to Janet off and on for more than 10 years - which makes the scathing review from 2013 rather a mystery to me. Janet is professional, gentle and very prompt. As a nurse practitioner, I can comment on her cleanliness and technique - both of which are impeccable. Most important is the results, which have been impressive. All electrolysis leaves some redness, and even with fair, somewhat sensitive skin, the facial redness goes away in about one hour with the ice she provides. The office is pleasant and parking is plentiful. I highly recommend her. read more

I saw Janet for roughly 4 months. She is awful as a person and an electrologist. Let's start with her work. While the actual electrolysis part is okay, being overcharged is not. Instead of going by the timer on the machine which calculates the minutes actually worked, Janet goes by the clock on the wall. She wastes time checking her phone, adjusting the radio and pausing to talk. I had to pay a full hours rate to get about half an hour's worth of work done. How do I know? I switched to an electrologist that uses the same machine as Janet and actually uses the timer on the machine. She gets DOUBLE the amount of work done in the same amount of time compared to Janet. Now for Janet's character. Do you enjoy giving your money to racist people? During the time I saw her, Janet expressed her hatred towards Muslims, Mexicans, and black people on multiple occasions. She specifically gave me examples of times she had treated these groups unfairly because she felt they deserved it. In addition to this, she makes it very clear that she is strongly against immigration and feels our country should be run by Christians since she is one herself. While I was in her office, she would have a Christian radio station playing in the background at all times. Occasionally, during an opinionated rant by a radio host, she would turn the volume up forcing me to listen to it as well. As a non-white, non-Christian American, I did not appreciate any of this. I tried SO many times to change the subject, but unfortunately, Janet was not having it. She continued to bring it back to the same topics. I always went in with a family member who served as a witness to everything I just described. We tried to be nice and give Janet the benefit of the doubt time and time again but enough was enough. I switched and am now paying a non-white, immigrant electrologist to work on me. read more

Made an appt to go in early in the morning and was seated to fill out paperwork. Another person came in for treatment and I was left sitting there. Left after about a half hour , Very unprofessional. I must take some responsibility though, as I should have spoken up and left much earlier. (This happened last year and not near the date of this post). read more

Time for an update- boy am I happy with my results...treatment times are far less then when I started & the big problem areas are now looking amazing!!! I have started treating some new areas and as before it's going well. A little redness when I leave but between the ice & my 30 min drive home I am looking like me only smooth & hairless. Love my results!!! read more

I am in my 60's, and I have very thin, extremely sensitive skin. I am super careful about the type of cosmetics I use, as well as the method of electolysis that I have done and who performs the job. I have had electrolysis done off and on since I was in my teens. I have been to various practicioners - some good, some not so good. In my opinion JANET IS EXCELLENT, hands down. Since I went through menopause the dark hair started sprouting on my face. Some of it was dark and coarse. I have been to Janet probably 7 or 8 times in the past year. In the beginning, I required 30 minute treatments. Now I'm down to 10 or 15 minutes every 2 months. When I leave her office, it takes me 45 minutes to get home. By the time I get home, my skin looks perfectly normal. She has never burned me or caused me to break out. She is very pleasant, attentive, and sanitary. At the end of the treatment I especially enjoy the cool pac that she smoothes all over my face. read more

DO NOT LET HER TOUCH YOUR FACE!! She ruined my face and it took weeks for me to even look presentable to go out in public. Electrolysis "should not" be like this. I went to her several times and every time she would be so harsh and had the settings too high. My face was always burned. But I thought that this was normal and expected. But then the last time I went she went overboard and I had awful burns on my face and finally I seeked a second opinion and found another electrolysis. I found out that I was being over-treated and she was doing all wrong...that my face did not have to look like that after the procedure. And my new electrolysis proved that because after she did her first session on me, I was amazed! The redness went away after 2 hours. There was minimal scabbing that went away overnight after applying aloe vera gel. And I've been going to her ever since and I have the same outcome. This is the way electrolysis should be if done correctly! Please do not go to Janet Arnett and don't say I didn't warn you. Woman to Woman, I want to warn all my girls out there so they won't have to go through what I did. Thank you. read more

I've been looking for an electrologist since I moved about one year ago. I used to get my work done in the bay and the drive was just too tedious after moving here. It turns out that this change went definitely into the right direction. I have found a really professional, nice, honest, knowledgeable and efficient electrologist. Her name is Janet and she does fantastic work. I've only been twice, two days in a row, mind you, so I will keep this review updated as I go along. I've been going to the wrong person all along and if Janet would have not been recommended to me, I'd still be paying money out of my nose for the wrong treatment by the wrong person. Janet put in three hours today and yesterday combined and I've never gotten so much done with so little discomfort and the next day, I had minimal scabbing, barely noticeable (I'm getting my bikini and underarms done). It's heaven not having to worry about shaving, waxing, hairs poking out from under your bikini in the summer. It's permanent and you gotta love that! read more
