I hesitated to get Botox for a long time due to nerves and stigma, but Gifty was incredibly patient and understanding throughout the process. She took the time to explain everything to me on two different occasions, which really helped me feel comfortable moving forward. After getting Botox for a couple of years at a well known Med Spa in Modesto, I wanted to check into changing skincare providers. Different searches for recommendations and researching reviews lead me to make an initial appointment to check out Aesthetic Lab, where I met Gifty and her team for the first time, the first week in January. Let me tell you, I couldn't have been more impressed! I learned more about my skin and different treatment options in that initial "get to know you" appointment than I had in the entire 2.5 years at the previous Med Spa I'd been going to. The previous Med Spa went downhill for me when they kept changing the person doing my Botox and I would get different results depending on who did the treatment. I requested to have the same person, but that sometimes happened, sometimes not. My appointments were re-scheduled one too many times at the last minute as well. I was reassured at Aesthetic Lab, that Gifty would always be my provider at every appointment. I was scheduled for a two week follow up to make sure I was happy, and I absolutely am! I booked a Platinum Hydrafacial for $240 and expected an amazing experience for that price. I recently moved here and wanted to try somewhere new after seeing so many glowing 5 star reviews, but after my experience, I honestly feel those reviews were very misleading and did not reflect the service I received at all. From the moment I arrived, things felt unprofessional and disorganized. There was nobody at the front desk when we walked in because staff were in another room laughing and talking. When the aesthetician finally came out, she seemed confused and unsure about several things from the very beginning. I had a lot of questions before the treatment started, and while she tried to answer them, she often paused for a long time and did not seem confident in her responses. It did not feel like I was speaking to someone who was knowledgeable or experienced with the treatment I was paying for. The Hydrafacial itself was by far the worst one I have ever had. She kept saying she was adding different serums and boosters, but the treatment was nothing like any Hydrafacial I have received before. Instead of properly using the machine to apply and work the products into the skin, she would use the tip briefly and then spread products around with her hands. There were also multiple issues with the machine throughout the appointment. My eyes were closed during the treatment, but I could constantly hear and feel her wiping or cleaning her hands on the sheets I was laying on, which made the experience feel even more uncomfortable and unprofessional. One of the reasons I booked the Platinum Hydrafacial was because I was specifically told it included a lymphatic drainage massage. I even confirmed this beforehand because I was excited for that part of the treatment. What I received was definitely not a massage. It felt like a device was passed over my face and neck for a few minutes and that was it. Extractions were another huge disappointment. I was told extractions were included, but she simply used the suction tip from the machine for a short time. When I checked my skin afterward, absolutely nothing looked different and nothing appeared to have been extracted. The entire appointment felt like it was being improvised as it went along rather than performed by someone who truly knew what they were doing. Even checkout was confusing and had issues. By the time I left, I was so disappointed that I sat in my car and cried. I had been excited to treat myself and expected a relaxing, professional experience that matched the price tag and the promises that were made when I booked. Instead, I left feeling upset, frustrated, and like I had wasted $240. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I genuinely feel people deserve to know what they are paying for. Based on my experience, the 5 star reviews were extremely misleading and set expectations that this business simply did not meet. I had my first appointment in November to discuss migraine treatment and prevention, and had my second appt just this morning! My initial appt was to see how Botox could help for migraines, and I was shocked by how much my symptoms improved; pre-Botox, I would suffer from migraine with aura, various physical symptoms, and couldn't complete tasks at my physically demanding job. The first time I came into aesthetics lab was over a year ago. I live in the Bay Area, but aggressively price shop. Aesthetics has the most competitive pricing which helps make it worth the drive to the Modesto office, but I also have family in the valley and I book appointments for days I'll be around. At least back then, their prices were posted on their website but I have noticed that you have to log into a customer account to find pricing now. I was quoted 500 dollars per peel for VI peel by a medspa near where I live but at Aesthetics last year they were $100. I only got 2/3 I had planned to get because it is quite the aggressive peel and I didn't feel a third round would suit me. The office was good about staying in touch with me between services to check on my progress and health, so very professional on them. My grandmother ended up passing away right after I had been in communication with the office about coming in for a follow up consult and they were very understanding of me canceling so quickly with no last minute cancelation cost. Fast forward I purchased a custom facial which I enjoyed from friendly esthetician. I attended the medspas babechella event and won a raffle for Morpheus 8 treatment for face and neck, three rounds. For those that don't know it's a very painful treatment and I'm someone hard to numb/sedate so much so I've woken up during 2 surgeries and usually need extra time/shots at dentist to numb. I felt silly kicking around like a dying beetle stuck on their back but their staff are incredibly patient. I had my last treatment 3/3 and was impressed by the process of scans and photos of my skin throughout the process and am eager to see the after photos once I've healed from the last treatment. I've also been getting laser hair removal and am pleased with the speed of the service as well as the results. The pain of the laser hair removal is nothing compared to Morpheus 8, I compare it to being splashed by bacon where it's uncomfortable but perfectly tolerable. I don't even ask for numbing for the laser hair removal like I do for Morpheus which they do try to accommodate but like I said I'm hard to numb. The nurse who's performed my services also made a great call having me reschedule one day that I came in and my skin got a bad reaction to the numbing because she was afraid of me getting hyperpigmentation if I continued. I was happy with her patience and honesty of making the best call for my benefit. With their August specials I've taken advantage of current deals and booked more services for upcoming weeks and will be a repeat customer. Check their social media for monthly deals that change where pricing is at its most competitive. read more

I was a client of Aesthetic Lab in Modesto for about a year and a half. The staff was very nice and supportive and I looked forward to my weekly visits. And I saw results, I dropped 70lbs. It was when I developed an issue with Gallstones their support disappeared. I let them know about the issue and I was told "we are stopping you cold turkey, keep us up on things and can you please write use a review." And that was it. I did try and keep them updated. I let them know a few days later my doctor felt the gallstones were not a result of the GLP-1 I was on. But they never got back to me. read more

Gifty was working as a contracted employee at Modesto Laser about 7 years ago. I went in to for a microneedling treatment. Because she was a darker skin woman I trusted her. She came across as very nice. Well let's just say she was so invasive and aggressive my skin was bleeding, dripping down my neck. When I got in the car my face was swollen and red hot. My skin struggled to heal. It was so horrible. I had paid 4 sessions, close to $2k. I worked at a hospital and many of the medical professionals I worked with were very concerned. One of the doctors I worked with said he would be willing to write a letter based on his medical experience as he this treatment was so horribly done it looked like I got laser treatment. Which I did not. It took my face 1 month to heal. Thankfully I had no long term damage as darker skin can damage when such trauma occurs. I had to fight with the owner to get my money back. I have photos and they will make you cringe. Stay away from this place. I heard they also water down their toxins and reuse left over filler. read more

Me and my daughter took a trip to cosmo Prof this morning and it turned into a "let's stop In and check it out" decision to look into Botox for me. I was in the seat in 10 min. Due to the thorough, kind and non invasive way they went about explaining it (and offering a coupon) she was next in the seat. My daughter (@beautybyangelinax) has ALWAYS wanted her top lip slightly bigger to hide her "gummy smile" and even though she's amazing and beautiful with or without it, she is in LOVE, it looks sooooo good and my results will come in time and I'm sure I will love them just as much! I was really excited and hopeful about my Botox treatments and fillers at Aesthetic Labs at 2909 Coffee Rd, Ste 12D, Modesto, CA 95355 with Gifty. She had only positive reviews online about her aesthetic clinic. I've spent over $6,000 with her. My maiden visit in her Aesthetic Labs cost over $4,000. My left eyebrow drooped 1 week after my treatment while I was on vacation. It didn't seem to bother her that I was embarrassed. A conversation with or pamphlet for clients about how results may go sideways would be helpful. She gave me additional Botox injections and eye drops to make my left eye bigger than my right eye. It was several days before my eyebrows evened out. I did not use the eye drops. My next visit was a free bday facial that destroyed my sensitive skin barrier. I called the office; Gifty's staff proved unhelpful. I visited my dermatologist who treated my issue. My last visit to Aesthetics Labs on Coffee Rd for forehead Botox left me with over 45 Botox BUMPS ($800.00) in rows on my face. (I'll try to include pics.) Needless to say, I was devastated. I couldn't leave my house for over 5 days. Gifty and I share similar ethnicity, and I gave her every chance to listen to me. I was rooting for her business to be successful. I gave Gifty one last effort to assist me. I simply asked her to call me. She hasn't called me back to this day (over 2 months), and I spent over $6,000.00 in her business. I won't return to Gifty's Aesthetic Labs. Many folks have posted different opinions. They could not have had a negative experience. One's medical skills and professionalism become evident when things don't go as planned. IT IS FOR THESE REASONS I WRITE THIS REVIEW. MY LAST APPOINTMENT WAS AUGUST 2025. So normally you wouldn't let anyone just poke at your face with any type of Botox/fillers/etc but I totally recommend both Tiff and Gifty, The nurse practitioner Tiff truly takes her time to answer all the questions you have, and won't rush you at all, she makes you feel comfortable and gives you her honest opinions/advice. I love coming and seeing her at the Turlock location. Gifty of course is just as amazing! She's so quick with what she does and you're just in and out. She will answer all of your questions to the best of her knowledge and focus on you and what you want, but at the same time not sell you more then what you need. DO NOT go here. I have been going to gifty even before she was well known. Followed her from previous clinics until she got her own place. I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars getting my lip fillers with her. My lips are completely ruined. Migration up to my nose, even with seeing that she not once turned me down for lip filler as a professional all she wanted was my money. I reached out to dissolve and got 2 sessions free of charge. during the second session they tried to charge me and made me uncomfortable to even want to return, regardless I still called and told them to ask if I had to pay and they ignored me for 2 days I just canceled. That was my answer. Why would I even have to pay over something SHE RUINED HERSELF. Now I have sent pics to another office and they couldn't believe an actual nurse did that to my lips, there actual words were "did you go to an actual nurse? "An actual office?"
