I arrived at the Holy Cross Emergency Room in Pompano Beach, Florida, on June 24, 2026, suffering from excruciating back pain and symptoms of a pinched nerve. He made the decision to admit me to the hospital so I could receive the care I truly needed. What touched me the most was that on July 1, 2026, several days after I was discharged following my back surgery--a laminectomy and microdiscectomy performed by neurosurgeon Dr. Moncman--he personally called to check on me and see how I was doing. That simple act of kindness meant the world to me and reminded me that there are still doctors who genuinely care about their patients beyond the hospital walls. I also want to sincerely thank the entire Emergency Department and hospital staff. Every doctor, nurse, technician, therapist, and staff member treated me with professionalism, kindness, patience, and compassion during one of the most difficult moments of my life. I wish I could remember everyone's names: Dr. K, Dr. Torres, Dr. Lynch, Dr. Isabella Mellits Lopez, Dr. Peavler, and my nurse for two days, Isabel A., who was kind, gentle, friendly, and professional. I had around five nurses during my stay, and every one of them was marvelous. Thank you for making me feel heard, cared for, and supported. I will never forget the outstanding care I received. May God bless each and every one of you for the incredible work you do every day.

I have been a patient at Holy Cross Hospital since 1989 and have seen many changes over the years…read more I have worked with many excellent doctors, including Dr. Katzell, my first physician, Dr. Burke, who performed my hip surgery, Dr. Levine, who performed my hernia operation, and Dr. Troy, who helped me with pain management. I know many of these doctors well and respect their work. Not every experience was positive. My internist, Dr. Audrey Lou, scheduled a treatment I didn't need, and when she realized the mistake, she offered no explanation. Since Holy Cross merged with Trinity Health, the quality of care has declined noticeably. I was assigned to Dr. Ansara, with whom I did telehealth visits. He later became a concierge doctor, which is his decision, but I was not willing to pay $150 a month for two telehealth visits a year. He transferred my care, but no new doctor was ever assigned. I was left sick with no physician and had to fight Trinity to get a new one. Trinity now pressures me to get blood work, chest X-rays, and other tests through their facilities. I decline because I pay an additional $700 a month for private insurance instead of the Medicare Advantage plan I previously had. I accept that choice, but I will not give Trinity Health another dime. I also object to being pushed to keep my testing within their system rather than using the lab of my choice. I am also concerned that Dr. Ansara and his wife practice together in the same concierge office. I can't know whether they review each other's work, but the lack of independent oversight raises serious questions about patient safety and liability. I am surprised that Trinity, with all its rules and regulations, allows this arrangement. I have lost confidence in this organization and choose not to use its facilities, other than seeing a doctor when I have no other option.

They got me comfortable and peripheral help was so very close by! From the ER Dr to Jason, Sebastian, they, in-turn kept me and my wife welcome and with a healing goal ahead. Everyone shined including the "transporters" When I was admitted we met RN Mei. The one and only to me is my wife; Sofia. What, I hope will remain, is the courtesy they afforded my wife. When a spouse is admitted to a hospital.... The hospital must treat both. What helped me to remain calm in this situation was the fact that the nurse (PNA Oberly [forgot the other PNA]) hospitals are cold and the offering of a warm blanket goes a long way. One issue and one issue only.... My neighbor drove me to the hospital and we were confused as to which entrance to enter into. My wife and I were left banging on the doors without a clue of where an entrance should be. MANY SAW US KNOCKING BUT NO ONE CAME TO DOORS TO RE-direct us!! Other than proper positioning for the entrance all was suburb. I understand security but I do not understand ignoring people in distress. I feel that if you are in a health distress IMPERIAL POINT SHOULD BE YOUR PICK! Amen!

This is a big "ask" because I am sensitive and have side effects with many meds. I saw my cardiologist and changed medication, went through that adjustment period, and returned to him with the name of the new medication which he approved. Because of this I went forward with a laser treatment to remove the gum overgrowth. I paid several thousand out of pocket on top of insurance. The overgrowth returned a year later and my dentist sent me back for a follow up. Dr. Malik's response upon re-examining me was "Well of course it came back you are on a medication that causes gum overgrowth." When I informed him that I had changed it and he approved the change, he was confused at first, looked through my chart, and told me my current medication causes the same thing. While I know gum overgrowth can return, had I known the new medication had a risk of causing the this as well I wouldn't have paid several thousand to do the laser treatment. And I wouldn't gone through the extra cardiologist visit or the adjustment period in changing heart meds. I've thought about small claims court because it just sucked. Not an apology for the miscommunication. Nothing. Can you say medical gaslighting?
