To begin with, I arrived early for my visit so I could fill out their ridiculous amount of paperwork. On it were the obligatory questions about the pain I was in, but no one seemed concerned with what I put down, as they kept referring to other things that were not bothering me. Also, when I made the appointment, I specifically asked for Dr. Amin, but I never saw him. I filled out the paperwork and sat in the annoying waiting room where the television is entirely too loud and on a continuous loop of ads. Nothing else. I wished there was a remote out there so I could turn it off, but that would show true concern for the patients and you won't find that here. I finally was brought in to the madness of the back, and Michael, the nurse (I'm not sure if he's actually a nurse but I don't think he's a physician's assistant and I know he's not a doctor) could not have been nicer. If this review was about him, it would be five stars. He was the only one I met who actually listened to me. Next came the PA. This could either stand for Physician's Assistant or Pain in the Ass, you can decide for yourself. She was a nightmare. She apologized for the amount of time I had to wait, but she had to go outside because her car was hit. Which is saying to the patient that her car is more important. That gives you an idea of the caliber of the practice. Finally the doctor came in. He stood across the room and recited to me what his PA had written down, incorrectly, which completely threw him off because he had already decided on the the diagnosis and course of treatment (all with drugs) before he walked in the room. He never examined me, he stood with his back against the door and never entered any further into the room. I now know how lepers must feel. He prescribed several medications for me, which is why I started feeling like I was in a pill mill. Then he told me he would call in another prescription, and that pharmacy would call me to make arrangements. I was also to have an MRI. Finally, something that made sense. His office would arrange that and the MRI office would call me to schedule. I also had to give them a urine sample, but for the life of me, I don't know why. I gave it to them. I have yet to hear anything more about it. I was shown to the front desk where the receptionist immediately tried to book my next appointment. I informed her that I couldn't very well do that since I hadn't had the MRI yet, which completely threw her off. I patiently explained to her (maybe not so patiently) that I had to have an MRI and that her office was going to call the MRI place and let them know what the were scanning, and once that was done, then I would call and make the next appointment. I'm guessing she gets paid on how many appointments she makes because she was not happy. Several weeks later I received a letter in the mail from some company that claimed they had been trying to call me (even though I never got a phone call from them) to finalize the medication. I checked and it's a medication that is NOT covered by my insurance, and I can only guess that Dr. Macek gets a kickback from the drug company, because I cannot come up with another reason why he would prescribe this for me, particularly since he still had not examined me. Oh, and the MRI? Well, it's been over a month and I still have not heard from anyone about that. As I said, this made me think I was in a pill mill and nothing has happened since change my opinion. In reading the reviews on here, it seems that most patients are very happy with Dr. Amin. I cannot understand why I was not put on his schedule when I specifically asked for him, but I was not. Sadly, I'm not willing to give this place another chance.

My colonoscopy was a nightmare. Today, February 3, 2023 at…read more9:45 AM I was at the doctors office for my appointment with Dr.Lanes at 10 AM for my colonoscopy. They brought me in to the nurse area around 11:30 AM and the adventure started. The nurses gave me a change of clothes, and then they proceeded to get all my information. They tried to get a needle in my dorsal venous vein to prep for the anesthesia insert. After a couple of failed attempts, they then tried the median cubital vein. Please note that the nurse had me in a seated position which would automatically have my arm on a bent position. Had I've been flat on my back my arm would've been flat on the bed. The nurse proceeded to insert the needle in my medium cubital vein and as she pushed down, I did not want to push up and create a problem so I let her do her job, she was upset at me for letting my arm bend. I was pretty patient throughout all of their trials and mistakes but once she started putting the blame on me, it got a little bit personal. I'm normally understanding on situations but I don't enjoy getting pricked and then getting blamed. As the nurses messed around with my medium cubital vein, the IV popped out and whatever fluids those were, went on my sheet then she pulled out the needle and all the blood was all over my sheet. She finally cleaned up and change my sheet and got the needle in there the way that it supposed to be my entire arm was hurting a lot from the pricking and poking. I was cold and my arms were numb. I was left there from 11:30AM to 1 PM with my arms sticking out and no movement for the entire time. I can hear at least 3 different patients taken care off on the other side of the curtain before me. I asked a nurse for the time and by 1 PM I couldn't take it anymore. I asked her to take all the things of my body and I told her I was going home. I did not want to imagine what they would do when I was under anesthesia.

Warning to Women IVF FLORIDA Lacks Compassion and Professionalism: Do Not Waste Your Time IVF FLORIDA Shows No Care or Respect for Women. Deeply Disappointed IVF FLORIDA Failed : No Empathy, No Flexibility, No Care,My Experience at IVF FLORIDA. If Youre Looking for Support and Respect Stay Away from IVF FLORIDA I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding the unprofessional conduct and lack of patient-centered care I experienced at IVF FLORIDA's Coral Gables location, specifically involving a staff member named Heather and the general front office team. I had scheduled a consultation for egg freezing over three weeks in advance. As you are aware, this is not a casual or minor medical matter -- it is a deeply significant and time-sensitive decision for many women, including myself. Initially, the staff were courteous and helpful when assisting me with the appointment. However, once a minor error occurred with the referral from my primary care physician, the tone and behavior from the staff shifted drastically. Despite explaining my limited availability (only four days off in a month), the staff refused to work with me to accommodate any midday or afternoon appointments -- options they initially seemed open to. I was repeatedly told "no" without any attempt at a solution. I was even pressured to travel to another, less convenient location (Pembroke Pines), despite clearly scheduling my care at Coral Gables. The dismissive tone and lack of effort to find a compassionate resolution were both upsetting and unacceptable. After weeks of coordinating with my primary doctor to meet their requirements, I was ultimately told they couldn't help me simply because my availability did not align with their rigid scheduling. I was not offered a waitlist option or any flexibility. The interaction made me feel as though I was being punished for something outside of my control -- despite being an informed, cooperative patient. The lack of empathy, flexibility, and professionalism shown by this office reflects poorly on the clinic's values. I am deeply disappointed that I lost time, energy, and emotional peace only to be met with complete disregard for my medical needs and personal circumstances. I am submitting this complaint not only to express my personal experience, but to also protect other women who may be considering this practice for something as important and emotional as fertility preservation. Compassionate, patient-centered care should be at the heart of any reproductive health facility. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

Most men are afraid to share with others - especially strangers - that they have had "work" done. I am not one of them. I met Dr. Lisa Learn through a patient/friend who had undergone a cosmetic surgery procedure. A fellow gastric bypass patient, my friend underwent an abdominoplasty - or tummy tuck - procedure. She looked great and I wanted to look great as well. In desire of ridding myself of extra skin following a 160-pound weight loss, I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Learn at her Fort Lauderdale office. It was an initial consultation to determine whether my insurance company would consider such procedure medically necessary. Initial consultation went great. I met Dr. Learn and her assistant - Teresa - to discuss options. I provided medical records and photos were taken for submission to insurance. As a guy who has never "cared" for his "looks," I took advantage of the consultation to discuss my face - specially around the eyes and jaw/cheek area. I was not happy with what I thought were droopy eyelids and sagging cheeks. Dr. Learn agreed, basically stating that the cheeks/jawline "issue" were the result of massive weight loss. As for the droopy eyelids, it was explained as part of the natural aging process. Long story short, I decided on several procedures to immediately improve my "look." Blepharoplasty - surgery for my upper eyes; and "Profound" - a laser non-surgical procedure to tighten up my cheeks and jawline. Voluma XC and Bellafill would thereafter be considered as dermal fillers. All procedures would be performed in the office with local anesthetic. Surgery day came and went before I knew it. First the blepharoplasty, then the "Profound" laser treatment. With my eyes, I could see an immediate improvement. As for the cheeks/jawline, Dr. Learn had fully explained that an improvement would not be seen for several months. Over the next few months, I had a number of "follow-up" visits with Dr. Learn. During these visits, I received both Voluma XC and Bellafill - which I learned was a relatively new dermal treatment that not only stimulates collagen growth - but could last for five years. As for abdominoplasty, my insurance company denied benefits and I decided to "self-pay" for the procedure. Thereafter - and only hours before the scheduled procedure - I chickened out and cancelled surgery. I'm not sure if it was peer pressure not to have the procedure or the "possible" six-week healing process. My "look" has changed to the point that I cannot reuse old social media photos. I "look" that different. Thanks, Dr. Learn. William E. Lewis, Jr. Vero Beach, Florida

I was so desperate that I chose the first doctor i consulted with, which was Dr.Learn, I just wish I would have gone to other surgeon consultations before choosing her. Initially I thought the results were good, but then once my breasts healed I wasn't happy with her work, I have photos and videos, my left breast which was the one with the biggest damage, looks almost the same as it did before surgery, based on my experience I would NOT recommend her to fix botched surgery, I did go to another surgeon recently and he was so knowledgeable and explained to me everything in detail about how he would have done my surgery, he was very experienced with fixing botched surgeries, unfortunately I Need to save money to have the surgery redone by him.
