After 20+ years of relaxing my hair on a regular basis, I made the decision to go natural. I always had a patch on the top of my head that was thin, and trouble with my edged that I attributed to stress. Going natural didn't make the problem any better. It actually got worse. I was recommended by a friend to see Dr. Yuabova. the location was easy to find, and the office was very neat, and inviting. After a short consultation with Dr. Y, I decided to go ahead and try juvederm for the first time to fill in the "eleven lines" (lines between my eyebrows) and my smile line. she then injected botox by the temples to reduce the frequency of my migraines and injected botox in my forehead to reduce lines. I spent $500 at this place for one appointment for weight loss consultation. $350 for the "consultation" and $140 to purchase their proprietary products. I had to fill out about 30 pages of forms regarding my health history (hello?) and lots of legal stuff. My upper body (with clothes on) was scanned with a hand-held device. This was supposed to give me a list of my food allergies. (hello, again?) At no time was I weighed or my vital measurements taken. The "consultation" consisted of a "doctor" telling me what she thought was wrong with me, again, without any corroborating medical evidence. I have been contemplating getting fillers in my lips but with one hesitation... I was so afraid of getting a botched lip job and ending up looking like I had dumplings for lips. One of my girlfriends decided to go for a thread lift and was raving about the work that Marina Yuabova does, so after much back and forth and months of research I decided to take the plunge and make an appointment with Dr. Yuabova. I was very nervous initially until I met with her. Dr. Y is so knowledgable and she put me at ease, she suggested we try resatylane because it feels more natural and is temporary and can last up to 6 months, and will eventually be broken down by your own body and flush away. I wouldn't say that I have thin lips, but my bottom lip was plumper than my top and I wanted a little more volume and pout. Dr. Y suggested to use one CC, and inject half into my Cupid's bow for a lift and the other half on my bottom lip. What I loved about Dr. Y is that she is very honest, extremely knowledgeable, she never tried to force me into anything, as well as answered all my questions with patience and was very straightforward. She explained that after the injections, I would experience some swelling for 12 hours and not to go on any dates until the next evening, (I appreciated this advice because my lips did in fact look very swollen for the rest of the day, and night.) Reverting back to the procedure, Dr. Y applied numbing cream to my lips and had me wait for 5 minutes. Then she prepared the syringe with the resatylane... All the while I was sweating with nervousness and fear. When it came for the injection, I had to close my eyes. Now, I will not lie and say that it was entirely painless. You could definitely feel the tiny pricks and the fluid being injected, but before I knew it, it was over. Dr. Y proceeded to massage my lips and told me what I needed to do for aftercare. I walked out of the office feeling like sexy like Kylie. The swelling was pretty bad that night, but the next day I woke up like it was Christmas and my lips were so full and perfect. After lots of research I came across this spa that was recommended to me by my friend and I couldn't be any happier!! I went to see "doctor" marina (she is a nurse) in her queens location . Not only does the office look like a dump but she is a total fraud. She "read" my energy & told me my sister who she never met has hashimotos??? She prescribed me supplements which I realized once I got home I was charged triple for. Bc I didn't have itemized proof and wasn't able to get the new bottle to her in item I wasn't reimbursed for this. She told me I am sensitive and fragile and I really feel she tried to tap into my vulnerabilities. I felt she was more trying to tap into my psyche rather than actually help my body. She has this great website which purported to help different ailments but instead overcharges people for a bunch of useless supplements. And her receptionist helps her in this so watch out if u don't catch it before you leave this grimy office. Don't go to her for anything medical! You will leave with holes in your wallet! read more
