Ok now I have to say I've never written a review about any of my doctors and I suffer from many…read morethings at only 39. I met Dr. Lanksford at CASC, she treated my condition which is hydronititis supportiva.. yea what's that everyone says even primary doctors don't know this condition .. well sadly Dr. Lanksford left the practice to go back to her home somewhere and then I met Dr. Larson and his staff .. I absolutely loved them .. I've had about 7 surgeons but Dr. Larson impressed me .. he took his time with me, he was fully aware of this horrid condition I suffer from he knew all about it .. I absolutely love him as a doctor he is very professional and timely.. his staff is presentable, pleasant, kind and most of all PROFESSIONAL!! Debbie who works in the front desk along with Eileen and two new girls that were there were very nice, Debbie goes out of her way for me and she'll never know how much I appreciate that from her .. Eileen does the surgery papers she's so smart and kind .. she explains anything you need her too she's very helpful .. I'm telling you if you need a good well educated surgeon go to Dr. Larson. The man is young, wit, quick and so so kind with his patients. I love him and his whole staff !! I wish them all the best always because they have been so courteous with me all the time. They accommodate me in even if he's over booked Debbie always finds a way to get me in, she understands the pain I go through with my abscesses .. and one time Dr. Larson witnessed a eruption of one my abscesses and you know what he did ?? He put gloves on, took a bunch of gauzes and cleaned it out so good and he was so gentle. I'll never forget that !! Like what dr does that now a days ?? He goes out of his way and so does his staff to make sure you're comfortable.. He's absolutely the best surgeon I've ever had and I'm not changing him for no one else !! Best of luck Dr. Larson. Keep up the Amazing work!!!! Denise Morales Torres

If this about Baptist Bethesda WEST...the nurses are great and they have limitations on what they…read morecan treat. East- they can treat real emergencies but the nurses need an attitude adjustment and a reminder they are not doctors. Get out of a procedure and this one nurse says "you will be on statins the rest of your life"...guess what...after speaking with cardiologist NO STATINS needed at all! Just rude, condescending and need to know their place about stating a patients future health needs. Doctors were great and would recommend Dr Verma all day long hands down!

These markers highlight important people and places throughout Florida, adding depth and meaning to everyday locations you might otherwise overlook. This particular marker (F-785), installed in 2013 by the Robert Neff Family, the Delray Beach Historical Society, and the Florida Department of State, tells the story of how this area's healthcare system came to be. The surrounding community was first settled in the late 1890s, when medical care was extremely limited. For decades, a small number of doctors and midwives served the area, and the nearest hospital was 18 miles away in West Palm Beach. Critically ill patients often had to be transported by horse and buggy or even fire engine--journeys that were sometimes fatal. In 1947, local civic leaders and physicians formed the Gulfstream Hospital Association to address this urgent need. After years of effort--raising funds, establishing a taxing district, and securing land--the 70-bed Bethesda Memorial Hospital opened on February 9, 1959. Named after the biblical Pool of Bethesda, symbolizing healing, the hospital began with 32 doctors and six dentists. Its first patient underwent an emergency appendectomy, and its first baby was born just a week later. The hospital quickly grew, expanding within six months of opening. Today, as Bethesda Hospital East, it is part of Baptist Health and has evolved into a 401-bed, full-service medical center with more than 500 physicians across 40 specialties. It offers 24/7 emergency care, a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, and advanced services in areas like cancer, heart and vascular, orthopedics, and women's health. The facility also features minimally invasive robotic surgery and an inpatient rehabilitation unit. Beyond patient care, the hospital plays an important educational role through its partnership with Florida Atlantic University's Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine and its own Bethesda College of Health Sciences, helping train the next generation of healthcare professionals. Even if you're just passing by, the marker is worth a moment of your time--it's a small but meaningful reminder of how far healthcare in this community has come.
