Everything on the menu is quite heavy, so if you're looking for light tapas, better try somewhere else, or stick to the olives. For Dutch standards, the food and service here are great. Halibut with Fermented Mushroom: I enjoyed this, the halibut was so buttery and creamy. Deer with Cauliflower: I've never had deer before, but this was dIfficult to cut through. It was cooked medium rare and had a very slight gamey taste, but still good. The cauliflower had roasted macadamia nuts on top that was to die for. Cheese Plate: The server dropped this off without explaining what was on the plate. I'm guessing it was Brie, Bleu and some other hard cheese. I don't know what the other two dipping jams were, but they were good. Prickly Pear Sorbet Dessert: The presentation was beautiful, but I felt like there were too many flavors going on to really enjoy it. I stumbled upon this place on accident trying to get out of the cold in Amsterdam and I'm glad that I did! The aesthetic was homey but with a modern twist-I felt like I was in a family members home eating dinner. The service could have been better which was odd because it wasn't really busy.
