However, the last time I went we were cold shouldered by the bartenders. It was a week day night about 7 people on one side of the bar other than ourselves and 2 bartenders... I am a bartender myself so I know how it feels to be behind the bar. My dad had come down to hangout with me and my boyfriend and we sat there for 23 minutes with no service. When my dad finally called out to the male bartender who was serving somebody who had walked in quite a while after us the bartender rolled his eyes and still didn't come to check on us in the 5 minutes we waited before just leaving. Not a great experience and also not sure why we were treated that way as we didn't cause any issues that night prior to being shunned. But now after reading some other reviews I realize we are not the only people that have experienced service like this...

They made some updates to this place since the last time we lived here and they now have gold simulators! We came here for happy hour and had an early dinner. The menu hasn't. Hanged much but they did have an extensive lent menu which I thought was great. The server was on top of everything in the Back 9 side and the golf simulators were very nicely done. Next door the food, including the Italian ciabatta and pizza, were phenomenal! You wouldn't think being a bar that they would have that great of food and experience but it was all fantastic. I was honestly impressed. Basically, I really liked the place. The food was above average for a bar. The beer selection was very good but not exceptional. The atmosphere was clean and comfortable. For me service was excellent. If the British wish to pretend that Charlie Mops (rhymes with barley hops) invented beer, let them. (We know it was probably invented in the middle east about 13,000 years ago). For now, I'll accept that Charlie Mops is a cool place just north of the Michigan Line, where I can get a great burger and a beer (and play a few games of Dig Dug). 4 to 5 stars!! I'll be back.
