Disappointed! The min I step foot in this restaurant was already a bad experience. We waited at the door for a relatively long time until someone actually noticed us. We politely greet whoever that come to us and ask how are they doing, but they just look straight into my eyes without saying anything - surely we need a table or we have a booking..? Not only did the first impression was bad, we weren't happy about the service the whole time. It took so long for them to notice us to order. They finally come and when it says "choice of..." on the menu, we thought we need to choose so we went ahead and let the server knows that we would like one of the choices. She answered with such a lecturing tone of annoyance that it comes with all the options. On top of that, they got the bill wrong and charge us the wrong amount and we weren't offered water at all. Seabass with pasta - fish is dry and burnt. although the cute flowery shaped pasta is a nice touch, it was tasteless and weird. Steak on fries - the steak is so over cooked and dry and the fries tasted like they have been seating on the plate the whole day. Anchovies on tomato toast with avocado - everything is so separated. You took a bite and everything fell off. Egg and Spanish ham on fries - it was sooooo oily and the oil soaks in the fries and make the already old fries worse. Fried goat cheese - this is the best we have had. Creamy and the apple crisps works very well with the cheese. A nice tough is the honey drizzle on top of it so it gives a nice hint of sweetness to it. Very nice. Sangria - very happy with the taste. They seemed to have about as many staff as customers, meaning they definitely weren't busy. After being seated, deciding what to order, and then waiting... and waiting... I finally went up to ask if they planned to take our order. The guy looked genuinely surprised we were there. Understandable, though--I mean, who actually wants food at a restaurant on a Thursday evening, right? He did apologize for making us wait, so that was nice, I guess. Gambas = Good Croquettes de Manchego = OK Meatballs = Bad Patatas Bravas = Had better but still editable Olives = Kind of hard to mess up olives One nice thing about this place though, is they didn't automatically add a gratuity charge like a lot of restaurants are doing nowadays. The sign on the awning read "Spanish Restaurant" but what I found was more of a tapas bar. Well, they had various kinds of paella to serve 2. If you were only one, as I was, tapas plates were the only other thing on the menu. The waiter recommended getting 2 or 3 for a single person, and which of those it should be turned out to depend on which ones you got. The meatballs and the shrimp (the former in tomato sauce, the latter in a lake of sizzling spiced oil) were good but small; the chicken winglets which I ordered for a third turned out to be more voluminous. read more

Awesome! Was looking for somewhere to eat on a Sunday night and we found Jamon Jamon. This is a Spanish place that sells appetizers, you can order multiple and make a meal, or you can order an actual entrée. Most of the people who work here speak Spanish for those who know how to speak it, or for those who want to test their skills! We were seated immediately and we were waited very well. For food, I went with the Pimientos deo piquillo. It's cheese covered peppers with some meat. THE FOOD WAS FANTASTIC. It was warm and tender, and the peppers had a prominent taste that wasn't too over powering. My brothers ordered other entrées which were just as good as mine. They bills seem pricey after adding the service charge. Toilet is disgusting and not clean with some big dark floating banana fritters inside the toilet bowl....yuk... I think they have really awesome Paellas. Their Seafood Paella is very flavorful; I think all of the seafood flavors are in the broth and the rice so it is quite wonderful (although the seafood itself taste does not have much flavor left because it went into the rice). I also really like their seabass appetizer; it is not too heavy. However, service-wise, I did have an unhappy experience where I specifically ordered a 2 person plate of the paella. Given it was my first time there, I did not know it was actually a 3 person size that was brought to us and also billed. When mentioned to the server (I was already ready to pay the full price and had credit card in hand since it always becomes a you said I said scenario, and plus I really enjoyed the meal), the waitress responded in a very unprofessional way that did not make me feel comfortable. read more

Really delicious introduction to Spanish tapas. We had: Lamb chops with rice (perfection, lamb was very tender, rice was incredibly flavored); Chorizo sausage (too salty for me, but my husband loved it); Eggplant and vegetables with fried egg on top (wonderful flavor); Calamari (excellent taste, but a little dry); The bread here was also amazing. I would put the butter in a little container if possible, rather than serving it as pads. Was puzzled by the bathroom toilet which had no seat...it's just a rim...maybe it's a European/Spanish thing. This here's a cute little Tapas joint just barely visible off of Charing Cross Road (the area code given by Yelp right now is wrong), and it definately warrants a try. I've only previously had Tapas in Majorca, Spain, but these little plates of yumminess were quite reminiscent of my experience there. Fantastic grilled chorizo, croquettes, tortillas, baked Cod, etc etc. It is advisable to go as a group or with a large hunger, because the menu is sprawling with desirable choices and you'll want to try them all. Doing so on your own is no small feat to your stomach or wallet though, so grabbing a bite from all your buddies is the best way to play! But then all you connoisseurs are already rolling your eyes at me, tapas noob. Lunch is a great time to go, when all tapas are half off.. that's a deal. A last little shout out to the beer I had ... for all I know, the Mahou could be the Spanish equivalent of Budweiser, but it was crisp and packed a 6% punch. read more

Horrible! The service and food is horrible. Lot of delays and mismanagement. Th staff broke few glasses while rushing to the kitchen which was very unprofessional. We had to wait for the food longer than expected, and then complained but it did not help at all. A bottle of coke took more than 30mins to come. Totally disappointed! read more

Nice little tapas place, not the best but by far not the worst. Came here for some swift tapas before the cinema, it's on tastecard so we thought we'd give it a go. The food was decent, it was admittedly a Monday night, so quite quiet, but the food was good and the staff were friendly. The croquettas were a bit disappointing, but the meatballs were excellent and, as I always seem to find, the patatas were good too. The calamari was a bit soggy but I can never tell if it's supposed to be soggy? Calamari always seems to have a relatively high soggy factor. I think I've said the word soggy too much. Soggy. The price was decent, I think it came to about £45 without the tastecard, for two, which isn't too bad, particularly for the area. I'd recommend popping here if you want some swift food before a show (I think we were in and out in 30-40 minutes) but I wouldn't set your expectations too high. read more

Went through an offer online which gave us 3 tapas dishes and a glass of wine/beer for £10 which was excellent value (they didn't actually ask about our reservation so you could probably just walk in and ask for this!). The dishes certainly aren't small and with 6 dishes to share between us plus some olives and bread to start we had more food than we could eat! The food was to a good standard, excellent for the money, a lot of the dishes are very rich though so I'd suggest a salad in there somewhere. go-to date night spot for my boyfriend and I, we tried it once because we were starving and tired of walking and have returned many times, bringing as many friends and family as possible with us! our favourites are the ham & cheese croquettes (which melt in your mouth and will have you salivating) and the cava sangria (perfect especially in the summer) but every time we return we try something new off the tapas menu and are never disappointed. the very best thing is the atmosphere, eating inside or outside. the staff are wonderful and always so welcoming. if you're into tapas, I would strongly recommend dropping by! read more

The food tasted pretty good, though there was a LOT of oil at the bottom of our dish of vegetable paella. I have never seen this at any other spanish restaurant before. The service was TERRIBLE. We had 3 different waitstaff who took our order, brought us our tapas, and brought us paella. When we were finished eating we had to wait 20 minutes to flag down a waitress to ask for our check. 10 minutes later we asked a different waitress. A few minutes after that we asked the waiter wiping down the table next to us and he brought it over to us. Not one person checked on us to see if we needed anything else or to ask how our meal was. Went for early dinner on a Friday, quite a few people sitting outside but inside, there was only one other couple, so it was fairly quiet. Lovely Spanish music made it a more authentic experience, and the restaurant was really nicely furnished (wooden furniture, plants growing). Staff were really friendly and service was quick. The queso con miel (fried goats cheese with orange honey) was absolutely delicious, as were the dates and almonds in bacon. The prawns were a tad bland (in my opinion, I prefer them to be really garlicy) and the meatballs were fine but had a taste that I didn't love. Wouldn't order them again but wouldn't say 'don't order them'. My friend loved the sardines, and the chickpea salad was nice and refreshing. It was a nice option on the menu, different to some other salads you see around. The bread portion was quite small, but for 80p was very good. I'd recommend maybe one bread portion per person, not really a sharing size. Also the bread was a nice texture, almost dense. It wasn't like a shop bought baguette, it tasted authentic. The patatas dûo was lovely - I like aioli and the tomato sauce so it was nice that it came with both, and it came with a good amount of each sauce. Portion sizes were good. Including a cider and an apple juice and tap water to share, with 2 dishes per person and there were 3 of us, the price was around £50 including a tip. When we left, there were 20% off vouchers being handed out, so watch out for those! Absolutely fantastic tapas. I am obsessed with tapas so this was a great find, one of the best I've tried so far, as most dishes were neither bland nor too salty, the menu was not limited and the staff were great! read more

Went here on a date last night. We were pleasantly surprised by the lovely fairy light decor at the entrance. It looked quite nice inside as well. We weren't greeted straight away, and ended up stopping one of the waiters and asking for a table for two. The food was actually quite good. Portion sizes were decent as well. The thing that ruined it though was the service. Unattentive waiters, waiting for ages to be served, waiting for the check, having to try and catch the waiters attention over and over again. It was annoying and seemed like no one wanted to serve us. The stereo system was also acting up throughout dinner.
