I had gone in for a cleaning and asked if they could round off a tooth that was poking me.... 20 minutes later, the doctor had used a putty to reshape all of my teeth to tell me how much better veneers would look on me. They also apparently had to fill all these cavities I supposedly had. My doctor was appalled at how deep they drilled for a routine cavity and now I may have to get a root canal as a result. Truly the worst type of people that only want your money and that's it. Never would recommend as a dentist. Unrelated, but when calling them just now to reschedule an appt for my boss, Google lists two different numbers and their website has a third number. Shocker, all if the numbers lead to the same time with a menu to choose from. All choices lead to someone named Tristan and it goes straight to her voicemail without ringing and once you get to the end and are waiting for the beep to leave a message, the phones hang up on you. Every single time. Literally every time I learn something new about this dental group it's always bad. Don't waste your time, money, or sanity.

I have had 2 rip-off occasions with this doctor. One when I took my wife to this office for a tooth…read moreache, he recommended a root canal and cap for this tooth and treatment of the 2 adjacent tooth (no x-rays or antibiotics), Then he sent me to the marketing lady in front (she is in charge of making ballooned up cost with unnecessary items for the benefit of the doctor and her job security), she gave us an estimate of $3500 cash or CC. I called another doctor for a second opinion; he said for 5 days wash with salt water, if the pain does not go away or comes back then come and see me. We did the pain never came back. On a second incident I went to Dr. Christopher Omeltschenko for a root canal on a tooth that had a cap on it, he said I need a new root canal and a new cap and sent me to the same marketing lady in front; again she added some nonsense items and gave me an estimate of $2700. I called another very nice Endodontics in Kentucky, he gave me an estimate of $900 and said the cap does not need to come off, and the bill will be sent to my medical insurance then I will pay the balance, which end up to be $350. Then surprise I received a surprise bill from Dr. Christopher Omeltschenko for $130 for the estimate he had given me, I paid it, what a rip-off.

I got talked into a consultation for crowns on my front 4 teeth - "to improve" my smile. Dr. M S played on an insecurity and I fell for it. Two days before the appointment I called to cancel. I had changed my mind. My gut was screaming at me to not do it. I told the office manager, Ms. M that I wanted to cancel my appointment. She said, "Sure, no problem. Can I have your name?" I gave her my name and she sucked in her breath dramatically and said, "Oh no, Michelle! You can't cancel. Dr. Marc has allotted 2-3 hours for you. There isn't enough time to get patients in to fill those slots. Why do you want to cancel?" I told her that I had changed my mind. That I didn't want to go through with the procedure. That I was extremely anxious and that my gut was telling me not to proceed. She said, "Why are you so anxious? Dr. Marc is one of the best. He does fantastic work and you'll be very happy with it when it's done." I started to cry. I told her I did not want to do it. She told me that I could not cancel the appointment. And against my better judgment I went to the appointment. That was the start of permanently ruining my teeth, my speech and my eating. My life has been turned upside down. The very first day when the numbing wore off I had searing pain in my teeth. I had extreme cold and heat sensitivity in my teeth. I was drooling and had a terrible lisp. I was told that it was because it was the temporary teeth and the permanent ones wouldn't cause a lisp and that the pain would go away with time. It did not. I called several times and had a few visits and many, many X-rays in the four month period after the first visit to get the crowns put on. Why? Because I was in so much horrible pain that I couldn't eat and I couldn't sleep. I was told that nothing was wrong. Well, I had abscesses! And my teeth had died because it had been left for so long. It took 4 months for them to find the infections and by then it took 4 rounds of antibiotics to bring the infections down. Which destroyed my stomach. I had pain up into my nasal cavities and cheek bones but I was told that there was nothing wrong with me for 4 months. I was then told that I needed root canals to fix the damage. Dr. M did the two root canals. And I still had terrible pain. I was told there was no reason for me to have pain and was being treated like it was all in my head. So, they finally decided to do a 3d panoramic X-ray. I had to see a specialist. I needed an endodontist and would likely need an apicoectomy. Surgery! I found an endodontist in my insurance network, since the one he referred me to and sent my X-rays to were not in my network. But they would not send my endodontist my X-rays. The X-rays were requested multiple times and were never sent. I had to go to their office and tell them that I wanted my X-rays for surgery. The endodontist said that there is significant bone loss due to how long the infections were let go in my mouth. Four months of ignored infections caused permanent bone loss. I had a new hydro-therapy procedure and the root canals redone. I was told that the root canals had not been done properly and the infection had not been properly cleaned out. I still had infection in my teeth 5 months on from getting the crowns. I have not had the apicoectomy. Yet. It is likely in my future because I still can not eat the way I used to. I can no longer tear or rip foods with my front teeth. I can no longer eat anything chewy or bite into things like crusty bread or bagels. And forget about ever biting into an apple again or eating corn on the cob. I still have pain in front teeth when there's any kind of pressure on them, ie - pushing with my tongue or my teeth coming together. It's been a year since the initial procedure and I still have pain. Oh, and I still have a slight lisp. Yep, at 53 years old I now have a lisp because of this dentist! I was also told that losing those teeth completely down the road is still a possibility. What a nightmare! Who wants to hear that they may lose their two front teeth! All of this has cost me thousands and thousands of dollars. When me and my family left this practice after what they did to me I could not get my dental records and X-rays sent to my new dentist. The office requested multiple times, and just like the endodontist, could not get them. I had to show up at the office and tell them that I wanted them sent right then and I waited in the office until they sent them over. If you value your teeth, your health, and your money then you should avoid this dentist office at all costs. My life has been permanently altered by this office and I will never eat or talk the same again.

Dr. Boehm and her team worked swiftly to remove the tooth and ensure I had a flapper so I didn't have to go without while waiting for an implant (and that flapper looked good -- you couldn't even tell). She also referred me to a wonderful surgeon for the implant and had you not know I had lost that tooth, you wouldn't be able to tell. I truly credit this to Dr. Boehm and her network. I struggled with whether or not to leave this review, but ultimately decided to because I believe…read morepatients deserve kindness, honesty, and clear communication. My first concern was my very first appointment. I specifically called to schedule a cleaning and exam and was told that would not be a problem. I was under the impression I would be receiving both that day and was disappointed when I only received an exam. I was later told that my cleaning would be done after all of my dental work had been completed. My appointment was scheduled close to lunchtime, so perhaps the hygienist was simply running behind. I really do not know. If that was the case, a simple explanation and an offer to reschedule my cleaning would have been more than enough. In my experience, most dental offices clean the patient first and then complete any necessary treatment unless the patient is in pain, requires immediate care, or declines a cleaning. Although I was disappointed, I was still willing to move forward with the recommended treatment. During my exam, I was told I needed several fillings and a root canal with a crown on my lower back molar. I was willing to move forward with that treatment. I was also told that a small chip on my front tooth was not worth fixing, despite it being a cosmetic concern of mine. Two weeks later, I returned for what would have been my very first root canal. I was visibly experiencing a great deal of dental anxiety and never even took my coat off. Looking back, I did not communicate that anxiety very well, and I am sure some of it came across as confusion and hesitation. I was asking questions when I was met with impatience and asked, "Are we going to do this today or not?" She stepped out briefly and returned less than a minute later to tell me that I was dismissed and free to leave. I was shocked and completely caught off guard. I did not argue, yell, curse, or become aggressive. I simply removed the patient bib and walked out. I have never been dismissed from any office in my life. After being dismissed, I walked back into the office because I genuinely wanted to understand what had gone wrong. I politely asked for an explanation and was simply told that I was free to find another provider. What continues to surprise me is that I never spoke to the dentist that day. He never came into the room. Had he simply taken a few moments to speak with me directly, it may have changed the entire outcome. Instead, I received a dismissal letter in the mail three days later that had been mailed the very same day. Ironically, what felt so upsetting at the time ultimately worked out in my favor. Since then, I sought a second opinion. I have had my cleaning completed, all of my dental work done, my front tooth repaired, and I did not need the root canal I was originally told I needed. The second office also diagnosed two additional cavities that were missed. Six weeks later, I am doing very well. In hindsight, being dismissed was one of the greatest blessings in disguise. Everything ultimately worked out for my good, and for that I am grateful. Sometimes asking lots of questions is not defiance. Sometimes it is simply fear. Patients deserve compassion in those moments. Ironically, this office did me a favor by dismissing me, so I suppose the only thing left to say is thank you.
